A fantastic campsite. Immaculately clean and well kept. Contactless check in is so convenient, although you can contact Claire on the given number at anytime. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she takes immense pride in ensuring you have a wonderful visit. The views of the sunset are amazing, as is watching the dolphins in the bay. I can't recommend this site more highly. Thank you Claire and your team ☺️

I drove beyond the entrance first time, as it looked like a tiny farm gate, had to circle back round up the road. My fairly wide Peugeot Boxer was a squeeze through the entrance and then I wound down a tight and curvy track overlooking the sweetest little stream/river. I parked by the house/reception and was met by a very friendly woman and a small child (her grandson, maybe?). She explained the rules of the camp and the friendly child chatted to me about helping digging up his garden in his new wellies. I'd booked the site in the morning and I hadn't yet received my confirmation email and the woman checked her computer and confirmed things for me. I drove into the top field and parked up along the left hand side of a hedge. The ground was a little tilted so I'd advise wheel wedges if you have them. There was big funny looking chickens and geese dotted around the place, which was lovely. The shortest of walks down the field lead to some steps that opened up onto an insanely beautiful view of Llyn Peninsula. Also, down the steps were a toilet and pot wash unit. Further down the path and immediately in view was the private beach. In the night there were people having fires and the sky/sunset was breath taking. After a peaceful nights sleep, I woke in the morning and headed for a shower. I walked back towards the house and down the hill only to find out it was 20p coins for the shower. Luckily I had a £1 coin, which I changed in the barn (where the washing machine is) using their change machine. The showers were fine, clean and exactly as you'd expect in a campsite. The general vibe and demographic of the people camping was a mix of families and older couples. No loud or obnoxious people, everyone friendly and would say hello when passing. There is absolutely no doubt that I would stay here again. The friendly atmosphere and beautiful location/views make this place a 'must visit'. It's not the biggest site in the world, so I'd definitely suggest booking ahead of time.

We stayed in the cottage, which was perfect for our needs. We have camped previously but my arthritis just isn't giving me the opportunity to tent. Loved the views, we had the best week weather wise, gorgeous sunshine all week. It was very quiet from Monday to Thursday so we were able to take camp chairs and sit at the front. I love this Campsite, reminds me of family holidays as a child. Just the best stay with fab hosts Claire and Hugh, we'll be back soon ❤👍

Brilliant location if you want to relax by the sea. We were able to pitch our tent right on the shore line and it was lovely to be able to pop the chairs out on an evening to watch people relaxing with their bonfires on the beach and the stars appear. Even better, swimming in the crystal clear water of a morning when the tide was in. Good toilet and wash block very close by, with showers a little further inland. My favourite site!

This was my first time visiting this campsite. We turned up unannounced for a one night stay and we were accommodated with a pitch overlooking the beach with fantastic views. Which was much better than we could have expected. The drive down to the campsite from the road was very narrow, so I wouldn't recommend taking a caravan down it, but evidently, others have managed it. We were staying in a rooftop tentbox and two tents, on a large single pitch and had ample room to ourselves. We didn't have access to electricity as we opted for a powerless pitch, and we didn't use the onside shower facilities, so I can't comment on those. The access to the beach down the steps is very convenient if you're able-bodied and there are toilets very close by. Campfires seemed to be permitted on the beach but only gas or charcoal fuelled fires were permitted on the campsite, as long as they were risen off the ground. The site was dog friendly, which is great if you have a dog. The centre of the field was also left open, so there was plenty of space for children to play in sight of their parents. Because it is a family oriented campsite, it was very quite and peaceful, especially since it is away from the road. The only sounds we could hear at night was the crashing of the waves and the whistling of the wind. There were no rowdy groups and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Overall, it was perfect for our needs and we had absolutely no complaints. The only thing I could think of to improve the site, is if it had an on site cafe that serves food at lunch and dinner time, as there arent many places in the area to have food, so you'd have to cook your own.

I found this place randomly while searching for somewhere to stay in Wales. It has quickly become my favourite place to stay with my little daughter. Location is amazing by the sea, fields for children to play in, lots of space so you are not all crammed together and very peaceful… Basically a little piece of paradise in Wales.

For location, this site is hard to beat with the sea right in front of you and the mountains forming an impressive backdrop. Get a pitch with a sea view and look forward to some beautiful sunsets. Some of the site can be exposed to the wind as a result, but sheltered pitches are available. Facilities are adequate and very clean, the shower block is situated by the site entrance, so can be quite a hike depending upon which field you're in. Toilet blocks are placed in the various fields however, and have pot washing and chemi loo/grey waste emptying points also. There is a motorhome point in the top field for you to fill with fresh water and a drive over grey waste drain. There is no site shop so bring what you need as it's about 10 miles to either Pwllheli or Carnarvon. Lastly, you will have read many reviews regarding the tight access, and yes this true but I managed with care to get a 7.5m Ducato motorhome in and out with no drama. Be sensible and take your time and you'll be ok,as long as you enter from the Pwllheli direction as the swing into the gateway is easier. If approaching from Carnarvon drive past the site for a couple of miles and use the roundabout to circle back on yourself. I'll be returning there for sure.

Great campsite with its own beach. Beautiful views and a lovely base to explore the local area. Good hot and powerful showers (cost 20p for three minutes) and clean toilets and washing up facilities. It can get quite windy so maybe better to go for a more sheltered spot if you’re in a tent. Helpful and responsive owners. Definitely highly recommended.

Stayed here Easter weekend, contactless check in meant we could get on with setting up as soon as we arrived. Amazing location for this campsite with breathtaking views. The sunsets on the beach are magical! The only negative about this place would be the shower curtains however the facilities are spotlessly clean and everything else about this place makes up for the slight negative

Amazing views and access to a quiet, pebbly beach. The saturday food truck was awesome. Facilities let it down a tad but still deserves 5 stars for the location, layout, sunsets, beach bonfires etc.

There’s no doubt the location of this site is phenomenal, but can’t give five stars as the showers are so poor. 3M and 3F for the whole site isn’t a lot and they’re located right at the entrance, so require a walk across the site. They’re 20p for three minutes and they’re not powerful. If you’re looking for an open water swim be aware there’s a lot of seaweed, so if that freaks you out, you might be better staying near one of the Snowdonia lakes. There’s only cardboard recycling on site, not sure why there’s no facility for plastic or cans? Laundry facilities are good; £2 for a wash and £1 per 20 mins drying. It’s a lovely location, and hearing the sea lapping the shore whilst looking at the mountains is special.

Great place on the beach. Boat ramp. food vans. They sell logs for fires on the beach. Family has been going here for years since I was a baby, and now I'm taking my family here. They had a pool table a few years back it would be good if they set that back up. Also would benefit from a small shop.

We had a lovely long weekend at Aberafon. Super location, right on the beach but most pitches are sheltered (there are pitches right behind the beach if you want the view and are prepared to gamble on the weather!). The site is in the valley of a little river, all very green, lined with trees, very peaceful other than the sounds of birdsong, the tinkling river and the lapping waves. There are loos and washing up facilities in or next to each field, but the main wash block with the showers is right by the site entrance, so a bit of a walk from those fields closer to the beach. There are laundry facilities and a freezer for your chiller blocks, plus mobile phone charging lockers. All the facilities were in good condition and seemed to be cleaned multiple times each day. We found the couple who own and run the site to be very friendly and helpful. Raised BBQs are allowed on pitches but wood burning is not allowed, and if you want to have a camp fire you will need to head for the beach. The beach itself has some sand but is mostly pebbles. Great for swimming and exploring rock pools and building fires, but if you want to build sandcastles or go for a run you will have to travel a little further down the coast. There is no shop on site but it's only a couple of miles to Trefor in one direction or Clynnog Fawr in the other - there's a segregated walking/cycling path beside the main road so you don't have to drive. There is a pizza/chicken/chips van on site on certain evenings in season, and a Waffles and Crepes van on certain mornings too.

A lovely place to camp, we have had some fantastic camps at this site, would highly recommend. Friendly and helpful owners. Can get windy, but still a great place to be.

A well set out site which instead of 1 big field the area is spilt across several smaller ones with a steam running around and throughout the lower sites. There are pitches with shelter from the wind and others which are exposed but offer fantastic views. The grass is kept short making pitching easy. Pitch sizes are good too which includes both electric and and those without. The ground is easy to hammer pegs into but solid enough to secure them. Our pitch had a 10amp supply which is enough for 2300 watts. We used a plug in portable 2000 watt induction hob to cook and heat water without issue. Access to the pebble beach is directly from the campsite. Each night people sit around campfires on the beach whilst watching the sunset. The toilets and showers are kept clean throughout the day. The main block is next to the first camping spots as you drive in and there are supplementary toilets near the beach which is also where you will find the washing up facilities and chemical toilet disposal. Rubbish is left in a large skip near reception with cardboard and paper recycling next to it. Access is via a narrow road once you leave the main road. A few passing points but be prepared to reverse and give way, there is a helpful mirror on the worst bend to give an indication of it's clear or not. You can see rabbits running around the site which is lovely to see. At night you can watch the bats fly past as they eat their fill of insects. The night sky during a clear spell is amazing. The milky way is easily visible as are deep sky objects. I'll certainly be taking my telescope next time!

Love this Camping, comming here every ear at least one time. You have different field with acceptable commodities, however shower is located at the entrance of the camping and it can be some walk to do. Shower is payed as well 20p for 3 min. Sometime it can be very windy. But this in rest it is a magival place where you will enjoy the views, walk on the beach and just relaxing at the fire on the beach. Just try it.
