Cycled an hour to get here as it’s pretty much the only dedicated Gluten Free place around and I wanted to try it out. I was not disappointed! As soon as I got there, the gentlemen behind the counter got me a big jug of water because I was knackered from my cycle. Amazing service. The menu was great. I got the quiche of the week AND the focaccia pizza slice. Both delicious. And to-go, I got some lovely cakes which tasted wonderful. Definitely a must visit for any coeliac or anyone just wanting great, fresh food. p.s. I’d love chips on the menu though!

Brilliant food. Great service. Bonus that it is 100% gluten free. No risk of cross contamination. Freshly cooked food, pies, pastries, cakes and specials. The scotch egg was awesome. We had tarragon mushrooms and eggy bread with maple syrup and bacon for brunch. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back again.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with coeliac disease and it's been so hard to find places that cater to her which has resulted in her feeling seriously low at times. Heard about off the wheaten track and paid them a visit. She absolutely loved being able to have pancakes and our "grown up" food was delicious too. I wouldn't be able to tell it was gluten free. Very happy customers - we will be back!

Only discovered this place recently and have been a few times already. They sell food to take home as well as eat in. And so many cakes/treats it’s hard to choose! The owners are so lovely and friendly and clearly have a passion for what they do. This is the best place by far in Manchester for gluten free, their food is so good! Some of it also caters for some other dietary requirements too. I have visited with people who don’t require GF and each of them has loved what they’ve had, no missing out here!

Fantastic food. My mother is coeliac and this place is a dream come true for her. The owners are passionate and super friendly. For me, the food tasted as a good as gluten-containing alternatives, so everyone's a winner here! Highly recommend.

I'm so happy to have been recommended this cafe/ shop. I finally went at the weekend and purchased a selection of their pastries/ sausage rolls/ breads and I have really enjoyed them all. Also the person who served me was so knowledgeable about all the ingredients in each item that it was really reassuring. It's so hard to find good places that do gluten free so thank you. Can't wait to go back and get more

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere Hayley and Dave are so fantastic. One of my favourite lunch time treat is the spinach and feta pastries, it take me back to Greece every time I have one. Would highly recommend even if you don't have any dietary requirements. Amazing all round ☺️

Tasty food and really friendly service. We went as a small group for lunch on Saturday. One of us coeliac, one dairy free. The selection of “free-from” options was excellent and everyone found something that they liked. Would go back even if not needing gluten/dairy free meals.

Really lovely cafe, delicious food with a lot of variety - there’s truly something for everyone, the staff were really friendly and helpful too. I stopped by for lunch but also bought a sweet and savoury pie to take home and they were both incredible, there’s also ample choice for cakes, savoury bakes etc. I’d highly recommend a visit and I’ll definitely be back.

A perfect place to visit for breakfast. Delicious food and lovely, welcoming atmosphere. I also now have a OTWT pasty in the freezer to look forward to! I just wish I lived a bit nearer so I could visit more often. Hope to be returning later this month. 😊

Visited for the first time today and it was well worth the 40 minute drive. Being gluten intolerant it was amazing to have so much choice. The feta pasty and twix were both delicious , looking forward to trying my cheese and onion pie next! Service was also great, will definitely be visiting again 😊

The best Gluten Free food around! Lots of choices considering it’s gluten free food, caters to allergies and intolerances without making the food bland and boring. Very nice atmosphere in the shop and staff are very helpful and kind. They also do delivery, but the shop is so beautiful so I highly recommend visiting 😄

Great food! Girlfriend is gluten intolerant and it's great for her to be able to order anything off the menu. Been in twice now and not been disappointed. Took a pie away with us and very good, great price, and super friendly owner and chef! Always have a chat with them and dog friendly too- will definitely be back

We have bought food from the deli before and been really happy with it so we decided to ask if they could make our wedding cake. Hayley, the owner, is lovely and her attention to detail was fantastic. She listened to our dietary requirements carefully and ensured that not only was the cake aesthetically pleasing but so delicious too! We had so many compliments from our guests who couldn’t believe the cake was not made with dairy, refined sugar or gluten. The layers were amazing and Hayley dropped the cake off on the day in advance of the ceremony. We loved the chocolate layer the best (although the jam sponge layers were yummy too!) Needless to say, we ate all of the cake within a day and didn’t waste a crumb! We would definitely recommend Off the Wheaten Track to friends and family and can’t wait to find an excuse to go back in and buy something else! This place is something special, to have everything in the place Gluten Free is such a novelty. The pastry is the best I've ever had and delicious pasty filling. Can tell from speaking with the owner how much care, attention and hard work obviously goes into the place. Lovely place and will definitely be back

What a gem this place is! Hayley provided the perfect gluten free and vegan menu for a weekend staycation hen-do I was organising. Thank you SO much We also used them for a few GF/Vegan options at a first birthday party, the pasties went down a storm!

We bought gluten free cupcakes for our wedding for our guests with special dietary requirements and they went down a treat. Hayley was quick to respond to my emailenquiry, accomodating with my requests, and they looked lovely - we only bought 6 and when they disappeared before we had time to take photos! I will definately visit the cafe again when we need more gluten free products as all the food lookd delicious.

I'd been wanting to try this place for ages but unfortunately it's 40 minutes away from me. However, I can now confirm it is totally worth the drive! I'd forgotten what sausage rolls tasted like and the custard slice was absolutely out of this world. It has also been so nice to wake up this morning completely symptom free and feeling good and healthy. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing coeliac/ gluten free deli. Locally sourced products and excellent quality. Cakes are yummy, as are the pasta and bagels. Got lots more to try out yet. Donuts need a pre order of 48 hours so I’m looking forward to those on Sunday.

This gluten free deli is a godsend! They have made my birthday cake twice now, both times it was perfect and they made it dairy free too! I am gluten and dairy intolerant, so finding tasty sweet food is so difficult. So far I have tried: Brownie Sweet potato pie Bakewell tart Apple pie Pancakes Chocolate and pear cake Donuts Mocha cake (birthday cakes!) Chocolate fudge cake All of them have been incredible, and way beyond anything gluten free or otherwise that I have tried before. It is amazing to be able to eat genuinely delicious food again. Thank you for all the yummy food! ❤

I have visited the shop previously and really enjoyed the range of delicious food on offer. On 23/09/21 my husband and I went to the supper club which was an absolutely gorgeous three course meal. The food was superb, the fizz, wine and beer was yummy and Hayley and Dave made us feel so welcome it was like visiting friends. As someone with a wheat intolerance it was so great not to have to consider any food allergens. I cannot recommend this establishment enough for people who are gluten free but also for anyone who enjoys excellent food. If I could give more than five stars I would!
