This long standing family run pub has an Irish atmosphere welcoming young and old, locals and visitors alike. Has been one of my regular family favourites nearly 30years and will be for many other families for another 30years if not longer. The owners Alan and Ian are always around to keep everyone aware of local events and forever giving helpful golf and football anecdotes. Still one of the best pubs in the area for all.

Great place, always seems to be busy with great atmosphere. A real mix of customers, which makes it welcoming and you do not feel out of place. Outdoor seating is great addition with heating.

Amazing staff, it's a proper pub with great beer showing sports on many of their entertainment screens

Good beer and a traditional pub environment. If you don't like football and a City or United match is on, unfortunately the TV is on too loud and spoils a conversation.

It was packed for St Patrick’s Day and the singer was great. Had real atmosphere. The manager made me rebuy a drink someone else had spilt and that was a bit miserable of him I thought.

This pub as a great vibe, bar service is spot on, there's no waiting here for a pint. An eclectic mixture of people, young and old, all having a great time. When there's footy on its a fantastic place to be, no hassle just everybody chilling.

Great quirky pub, I used to come here many years ago as captain of The Bridge in Sale's darts team, we were rubbish but always got a good welcome. Pub has great woodwork furnishings and different rooms, and it looks like there's a good old-fashioned snug. The small garden at the back was nice to sit in, and you could shelter when the imminent rain fell. All in all, a great pub in a village that is sadly lacking in real good old-fashioned boozers. Sat in the snug today watching the rugby, there were screens all over the pub, ideal for the sports fans amongst us.

Best pub in Hale. Always busy but everyone's in a good mood, and great for watching the footie.

Traditional pub with friendly staff. We reserved a room and had a buffet made for a funeral party It was reasonably priced and a good selection of food. Would go there again.

Good, traditional, locals pub. Most of Hale's establishments have gone for the top end of the market, to cater for the Range Rover crowd.😄 The Railway is a breath of fresh air. Friendly staff and inviting.

Very nice place to eat and drink. I had a sirloin steak, which was excellent. Lovely decorated inside and Fireplace already heated. Very friendly staff, always happy to help and open for a chat.

Lively local Robinsons pub which has football and rugby on TV screens in every room. Locals are friendly and the pub is very well patronised. The Dizzy Blonde is well kept and the Guinness was on form too

The Railway has been our Friday night early doors spot for years. There's always a good selection of beers. The staff are always friendly. Alan has done a great job of keeping The Railway as a good old fashioned boozer.

👍 Almost always a good experience. Every now again it can take a while to get drinks ordered through the Greene King app. But sometimes they can be busy. Food is always good. Great steak and found out tonight the curry is also nice. Good choice of drink. I tend to have a coke normally but now and aga...
