The place is beautiful! The rooms are comfortable and clean. The spa area is great, very large and with several options for different 'therapies' such as sauna, steam room, salt sauna etc etc. The breakfast was delicious but the food we had for dinner was a bit disappointing, not very good…

Got a Groupon voucher and it was excellent value for money. All staff really friendly and welcoming especially the ladies who performed our treatments in the spa. Afternoon tea was gorgeous, lovely fresh sandwiches and a variety of cakes. Only thing I would say is the spa itself is starting to look a bit rundown and could do with a refurb. Wouldn’t hesitate to return though!

Couldn’t recommend this place enough!! The staff at reception were very welcoming and kind. We were giving the most beautiful room to stay in which was very comfortable and luxurious. They decorated the room for my anniversary which was stunning and lovely of them to do! The food quality was also impeccable. Lastly the spa and the treatments were very relaxing and clean! Thank you so much for making my stay so special! Will definitely be returning here 😊

Visited for afternoon tea for my elderly mother's birthday and enjoyed a walk with views of the mere after. Service was impeccable. The staff were polite and the buildings and setting are incomparable. When the concierge was aware that this was for a birthday celebration she arranged for a glass of champagne and a slateboard with birthday greetings and chocolates which wasn't expected and made for a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this venue when want something that little bit special and perhaps a little extravagant. Thank you to all the staff who made this a memorable birthday.

Becoming really poor in there now. The workers come over and take up the gym from 6:30pm onwards. They take up all the equipment and just stand around chatting with no etiquette. The females actually take the floor space and took our workstation and Matt’s without asking. We pay a fortune to be members and it’s turning into Knutsford Leisure Centre. Obviously lacking management.

Had such a lovely spa day here, with the Autumn Forest Therapy Package. Facilities were lovely, service was welcoming and helpful. The forest therapy massage is a must have, one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Afternoon could be better in regards to quality but with the package value, I didn’t mind!

We stayed for afternoon tea/dinner/breakfast for a hen party. Lovely hotel, lovely food and lovely drinks, but it’s the top notch staff that really make it. We held a murder mystery at dinner as well as other games and surprises for the party, and all of the staff bent over backwards to help everything run smoothly. A massive shout out to Pam, Andrea and Will, they’re all such a huge credit to their team. And Will, we’re sorry we scared you half to death when the bride suddenly “died” half way through the murder mystery!

I was a little worried about coming here as it looks so posh and upmarket, and I am not at all! However the staff were absolutely wonderful to our entire group, they were so lovely and helpful and just a total highlight of our trip. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and polite, and we had Pam, Andrea and Will assisting our group - I cannot emphasise how brilliant the three of them were. From finding us some emergency drawing pins to joining in our mad dancing, taking photos and whatever else we asked, they went above and beyond. Whatever awards Mere offer to staff, the three of them deserve the highest! The resort is not local to me, but I would absolutely travel back to stay here. It’s beautifully decorated, food was lovely, rooms luxurious and clean. Top tier stay.

Amazing venue, excellent for afternoon tea, great place for meetings. Good selection on the menu, brilliant service too - Rehan at breakfast; Becky, Issy, Liv, Eisha & George afternoon/evening - all did a fantastic job, thank you.

Simon and the team were absolutely amazing during our stay. Everyone was very welcoming from the moment we checked in, which they went above and beyond for my girlfriend’s birthday. We were both completely blown away with the amazing service we received from everyone. It was so thoughtful for the complementary Champagne and the additional touches for such a special occasion. This made our stay very memorable. The spa and pool facilities were fantastic and the food and drinks were incredible. I would definitely recommend the Mere Hotel to anyone and we will definitely be back again soon.

Outstanding service received from Becky, in The Club Lounge. Went out her way to accommodate our last minute request and made a celebratory lunch a very memorable one! Nothing was too much trouble. Outstanding setting and amazing food. Thank you !

It was a surprise for my 60th birthday. I absolutely loved it. The afternoon tea was fabulous. The evening meal was excellent, and I had breakfast with all the choices. It just finished off my stay perfectly, and the rooms were lovely. I felt very spoilt and would definitely stay again. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

We went to The Mere golf resort and spa for afternoon tea yesterday 12/05/23 which was bought for us as a gift by our daughter. I can honestly say that it was the best afternoon tea we have ever had . It was all top quality ingredients and delicious and all the cakes were home made by the Chef. The staff were lovely and very attentive especially Laurent who looked after us . He was lovely and friendly and kept checking if we needed anything else. He explained everything that was on the presentation stand and we were very impressed with everything. Thank you for looking after us Laurent and thank you to the Mere resort for such a lovely experience and thank you to " Chef " who made such a delicious afternoon tea and is truly talented. We shall definitely be coming again. Thank you , kind regards Shirley and Alan Lindop.

A little mixed experience here. We had a delightful stay overall, the rooms are great and the view is lovely, the whole area is very picturesque. The spa has incredible facilities. The only issues we had were driving l service related. Being constantly stopped for our dog, despite it being an active service dog. Including the middle of the night. The lady who gave the massages didn't seem to know what she was doing also and didn't react to feedback we gave. Overall it's a good hotel and great amenities but requires a little more attention on the service and staffing front.

Great location with friendly helpful staff. We ate in Browns and the food was first class. I have lowered the rating on the room due to its location (room 100). It's next to the lift and the entrance to hotel rooms, so was quite noisy. Also was awakened at 4.00am due to the laundry van parked right outside our window, rolling cages in and out of the truck for a good 20 minutes. However the room was clean and the bed very comfortable with good tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast has everything you could want and again was first class. All in all I would thoroughly recommend but don't get put in room 100!

We stayed for a last minute midweek night and it was excellent. The room with a lake view was lovely, the toiletries and beds were really nice and we paid to go to the spa/gym which was very well equipped and managed to play tennis too which was great. The breakfast at Browns restaurant was high quality with a good range for veggies. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. It felt like they were adding little touches to make the stay extra special which was amazing.

This hotel is fabulous but the best thing about it is the staff. From the moment we entered the door we were greeted with friendly, professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable people. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff on the main reception (Emily and Andrea) answered all questions with skill and helped with all enquiries. We used the spa and had afternoon tea, once again all staff were super friendly - especially Charlie and James who really were service with a smile. So warm and friendly, yet professional and accommodating.

I have just enjoyed a three day golf break at the Mere with 20 friends and we all had a wonderful time. The rooms are delightful, clean and well designed, the food is excellent, and most importantly, the staff are all friendly and helpful. One morning, I heard cleaning staff singing to themselves - happy workers is always a sign of a good company. Thanks to all those who made our three days memorable.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The setting is beautiful. We had room 5 on the lower floor which opened out onto a terrace just below the putting green, so you had privacy and also easy access to the 1st tee. The room was nicely decorated and in very good order. One thing I noticed was the phone next to our bed was very bright when the lights were turned off, I put my mobile phone over the display and that resolved our issue. The breakfast I would say is one of the best we've ever had. There were lots to choose from, infact you think of what you wanted they had it. I highly recommend that. We didn't have lunch or dinner there so can't give a revue regarding menu or quality of food. The staff were very attentive. I give this 5 out of 5.

Great night away, had booked a couples massage and unfortunately the times had been changed by staff so we had to have it at separate times, definitely did spoil it a little. We ordered our dinner to the room as we were in the suite. Came quickly but unfortunately it was like warm, not covered with anything which put us off. The spa was nice and breakfast was ok. Hopefully next time it will be 5 stars

What a wonderful place to visit to unwind. All the staff very friendly, helpful, professional and nothing felt like it was too much . My friend and I had 2 amazing treatments each , a delicious afternoon tea. While spending a number of hours relaxing by the pool with waiter service available if you wanted a drink . I can’t wait to book again . It’s the best spa I have ever had the pleasure to visit.

I've stayed in lots of hotels over the years but this has to be the best ever. From check in to check out everything was perfect. Afternoon tea was served promptly by friendly staff and was very tasty. The evening meal was chosen from a wide selection and cooked fresh and again served by polite friendly staff. The restaurant manager (think he was) had heard me wish my wife a happy birthday and after we had eaten our mains presented her with a slate plate with Happy Birthday done in white chocolate sauce with berries, small meringue and chocolate pieces, this was unexpected and she was over the moon to say the least. The dessert of lemon meringue was out of this world and presented so well. Breakfast today was how can i put it, well there is so much to choose from and all cooked fresh. The room itself was huge as was the bed and so comfy. All in all it was a perfect experience and i hope we can return one day in the not too distant future.

Attended the James braid suite for a wedding. It was a fabulous spacious venue. All staff were all super friendly and happy. It was perfectly clean including the bathrooms. Outside seating. The room for the wedding ceremony and meal were beautifully dressed. Only wished I'd of stopped the night at the hotel.

Just had a golfing trip here, 45 ladies, and would like to thank all the staff there for ensuring our trip was enjoyable. Without exception they were welcoming, helpful, friendly, nothing too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended. My golf needed a bit to be desired, but guess the lovely, hard working staff can't help with that!!

Lovely hotel and friendly staff, breakfast staff very helpful, great variety for buffet breakfast or choose from paid extras. Beds were fairly comfortable but I'm very fussy when it comes to beds, rooms spacious and clean with amenities like iron, coffee machine. Use of pool and sauna etc costs £15 per person even if your staying at hotel, and if you want to use spa make sure you don't book out first otherwise your not allowed to use, so if you arrive like we did, late around 7pm you can't really use facilities so thought I'd use spa after checkout at 11 whilst waiting for husband to finish work. Your not allowed to do this as no longer a hotel guest. Thankfully staff were very helpful, but just bear this in mind if wanting to use spa. I would definitely use the hotel again

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. The grounds are very pretty. The food is also very good. Staff are helpful and friendly. They also offer free car charging (with a 3 hour limit), but disappointingly some guests just leave their cars plugged in all day. I saw some people arguing about this and it probably needs a bit of management which is a shame. The beds are really, super soft. If that’s your thing, then you should be happy. Baths are kinda high. Can imagine that would be a tricky showering scenario for those with limited mobility. The gym and spa is lovely and there seem to be good golf facilities too. Overall👌👌

Went for a spa break. The rooms are a good size, clean, bright, and comfortable - only down side was the bed was beds pushed together. The spa was lovely, staff were friendly and the treatments professional. The swimming pool was warm and large - great for relaxing and having fun. Breakfast was well run, with a big selection of buffet food to choose from... Pastries, cereal, full English etc.

We recently stayed in one of the suites at The Mere and the whole experience was excellent. The room was big enough for 3 of us to do some business planning whilst looking out on to The Mere and the golf course from our balcony. It was very hot but we had a fully air conditioned room which made the stay comfortable. We also had afternoon tea which was very good. The surroundings are very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were also attentive and friendly. I will be returning for a a more leisurely break in the future.

We (7 friends) had a fabulous day here on a spa break. We were welcomed by James and Chris on reception, who couldn't have been more accommodating. We chose which treatments we were having and went to the pool area to wait our times. We had brilliant treatments, performed by knowledgeable beauticians. Well worth it. We then had a delicious afternoon tea, followed by further relaxing by the pool and rooms (steam, sauna, caldarium etc) before leaving. We had a great day and have planned to return next year. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
