This is review is related to our Uber Eats order on 19/09/2022 @17:00. The staff who was attending phones from 17:30 - 19:30 was really rude and abusive!. Our order was delayed 3 hours and finally we got it around 8 PM. This review is for Taste Of India, 6 Greenwood St, Altrincham WA14 1RZ. Poor quality food and worst people on phone! They never pick up phone calls and if they do so, they speak very rudely. Staffs are very hostile.

So disappointed! I only order biryani from takeaways because I want the curry sauce that's supposed to come with it. With this order, there was none. I can just about forgive the lack of salad - there was none of that either, but no sauce? Unforgivable! Paid £6.95 for slightly flavoured vegetable rice!

This was the first time that me and my the Mrs had something from here. We just have to say this was the best curry we have had in the last couple of years. The food was absolutely delicious,hot, and plenty of. They said it was gonna be an hour it was about 45mins,but I no it won't be always early if they are busy which people's have to understand. Definatly getting from there again and again. Even the driver stayed and explained everything they will change if you want. Thanks for a top meal

Had a meal at the taste of India this weekend. Young lad at the till extremely friendly and quality of service was fantastic. Food was amazing curries tasted brilliant and the Tandoori oven food was perfect. Must try food at The taste of India well worth it.

It's a fantastic Indian restaurant with a lot to offer. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The menu at Taste of India is extensive, featuring a wide range of traditional Indian dishes. One of my favorites is their chicken tikka masala. The chicken is always tender and cooked to perfection, and the creamy tomato sauce is packed with delicious flavors. It pairs wonderfully with their fluffy basmati rice and freshly baked naan bread. My experience at the taste of india was amazing, I loved the customer Service and they were all friendly and made everyone feel welcomed, always came and checked up on me. And the food was delicious.

Terrible Experience - Don't Order Here! I had a really bad time with this restaurant . I ordered food for delivery, and guess what? They canceled my order after making me wait for 30 whole minutes! It's like they don't care at all. This place is not professional. They couldn't even deliver on time, and then they just canceled without telling me why. It's so frustrating. I suggest you find another place to order from. Don't make the same mistake I did. There are lots of other places that treat customers better and won't leave you hungry and annoyed. I won't be giving them another chance, and you shouldn't either. Awful service, really disappointing.

Took almost one and a half hours to arrive, twice as long as they said. Food was nice. They should have told us it would be late so we could have a biscuit or something. Lack of politeness to update us is mainly why the review is low. Poppadoms need a tiny 85p onion and a tiny 80p chutney for every 85p poppadom. This makes for very expensive poppadoms. Others give enough onion and chutney for the 3 poppadoms we ordered. Couldn't possibly have put the onion and chutney in smaller containers. It should say on the menu that their sides are only big enough for 1 poppadom. Otherwise, it was nice. Next time we will use our own chutney and onion and order 2 hours before we plan to eat.

Ordered food early, and have called 3 times in the last 2 and a half hours to chase it up. Just been told it has been delivered, which it hasn’t. They were bothered at all, and just said to apply for a refund through Just Eat. Absolutely unacceptable as it is now 8.45pm and we have no dinner and they don’t care in the slightest

I wrote this review on the correct restaurant. This review is meant for The Taste Of India restaurant at 6 Greenwood Street, Altrincham, WA14 1RZ. The worst take away I ever had. Placed an order for delivery within 1 hours. Received the delivery after 3 hours! People on the phone are so rude and arrogant.

Ordered here at 19:05 and had the estimated delivery for 20:00 to 20:20 and it’s currently 21:40 and it still hasn’t arrived. I called up and asked for a full refund as it was getting too late so had to order from somewhere else. Their response was “Ok” and put the phone down. Not even a sorry or anything. Terrible service

Food was ok but 1 hour late. Set meal missing poppadoms and onions etc. Said short of drivers but still kept accepting delivery orders. Lost my custom!

Absolutely shocking. Ordered via just eat and order never arrived. When I contacted the restaurant after it was about 1 hour late, I was told that all orders were out for delivery and it should be there soon. It never came so I called them again and was told that the delivery driver had delivered it so we should contact Just Eat about a refund if we were not happy. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I will never be ordering from them again and I advise others not too either.

Horrible food..chicken tikka and butter chicken taste similar. Both are too sweet like sugar syrup. Don’t meet the expectations. Not recommended. WORST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. Wasted my money

This relating to the staff on phone around 6 PM on 19/09. He was very arrogant and rough and kept the phone down! Better you advise your staff to be polite with customer on phone. Very poor food in quality and quantity. Very rude and arrogant staffs! Staffs on phone shouts at you. The member of staff I spoke on 19/09 @17:42 was so rude and unprofessional.

Ordered a curry(chicken jalfrezi) for myself with pilaw rice and a nan, my wife wanted to try on of their shashlik kebabs. The jalfrezi was below average, there was no sort of taste as you would find in other establishments, it just tasted of chilli powder, the chicken tasted like stone, it was not succulent at all, the pilaw rice was more like boiled rice(0 flavour) My wife’s shashlik kebab was just literally red colour, her fingers were red after taking a few pieces to eat, it was greasy (I know kebabs are greasy) but this looked like it was cooked in more oil as the Nan was soaked in oil. Never order from here

Food was great but not of late. The Biriyani was fantastic, but sadly something has changed lately and standards have really dropped. Same with delivery times, often well over an hour despite advertising less.

Great and fresh food , very helpful staff. Delivery was on time . Kitchen very clean and chefs are very professional.i will order from there definitely and I will suggest for everyone to try it,you won't regret it .

The food is always really nice from here. Service is very good too. Delivery is on time most days, but sometimes abit later on weekends, which is understandable because it will be busy, but worth the wait! 😊

The food was delicious as always, the curries are packed with flavour thank you chef xx Only reason for the 3 stars is i do not like the new driver, i have been using taste of India for 3 years and never could fault the curry or the service but this new driver, this is the second time he has dropped of my order and again he has asked me to leave a review if i only fine a fault in the curry, well i have never found a fault in the food its your service and tone of voice i find a fault in. Thank you to the rest of the staff for your exceptional food and service unfortunately i will not be returning until this driver has left.

Ordered a curry tonight. A few other bits too. It arrived and said it was £25.80. On the menu it came to about 18 tops . I didn't think anything of it until I counted it up . There.were.biys in the order I didn't ask for and about 20 poppadoms which I think.i paid for . I've tried calling them.to ask why the high price and they won't answer . Curry was bog standard . Don't touch this place with a barge pole they rip you off . Ill be going in the shop tomorrow to pay them a visit

Really good curry. One of the best take away curries we've had in Manchester. Big portions, good flavour, not too oily. Highly recommended.

Best Indian takeaway in Altrincham, fantastic food.

Stayed in Altrincham for the weekend and found this spot, I don’t have a single complaint, the food was outstanding in particular the butter chicken, it was creamy not to sweet full of flavour, definitely not had a bitter chicken like this before. Will definitely comeback again next time I’m in Manchester
