Gusto is a popular Italian in Didsbury Village with an intimate ambiance supplied by the simple decor of foolish with twinkling lights. Ample booths and seating make you feel like your meal is private, whilst being in a huge open space. There is a huge choice and the menu caters for a wide variety Pizza, burgers, fresh pasta, and carefully selected Gusto favourites are worth experiencing. If your interested in the Gusto petals ( a pleated doughy bread) or a salmon main then check out the photos The choice of drinks here is impressive Whether it’s non alcoholic, cocktails or wine your after the choice and presentation is amazing

Waiting service was ok at best, they could have been both quicker and friendlier. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we were a table of 10. Food was good and enjoyed by all. Lunch menu is reasonably priced.

So, I went here to celebrate with my daughter for her 21st. Lovely environment with a nice atmosphere. Little bit disappointed they didn't come out with a small birthday cake as I did put birthday when I booked. A bit expensive but worth a visit if its a special occasion.

Great atmosphere, the calamari was perfect and a great start to the evening, the steak was cooked well, finished off the evening with tiramisu which like the starter was perfect. Overall I would highly recommend Gusto in Didsbury

Great experience overall! Very friendly service and great ambience. The food is also good. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but I have to admit that Gusto exceeded my expectations; food was actually quite decent. We went for lunch on a Saturday, 3 people. We sat on the outdoor area, which is very cute and spacious - ideal for those with baby prams like us!. We tried pasta carbonara, roasted vegetables salad, and the burger. We also had some starters. Everything was tasty and very well presented.

We were a group of 11 to have boxing lunch here and it was amazing for all of us. The food was great in favor and value. The service was spot on and the servers were so attentive. We can't wait to visit again!

I visit here regularly. It's a good place with good food. On this occasion it was busy and service was slower than usual and it was incredibly noisy...but lively and fun!

Booked for a table of 12 and the restaurant were really accommodating where other places have not been. The staff are delightfully cheerful and willing to assist with any requests - including helping with taking photos for us! The food and drinks all arrived really promptly and everything looked delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant - we had a wonderful time and will be back again very soon.

Pretty disappointed with our visit to Gusto. We went as a party of 4 for my Gran's 80th birthday. Despite the online reservation explicitly asking if it was a special occasion, no attempt was made to make it so. I don't expect freebies, but some decoration to our table or even a "happy birthday" would have gone a long way. Additionally, we were sat far away from the accessible toilets despite also listing this on the reservation. The wait for our starters was fine, and they were really tasty and reasonably sized. Unfortunately the wait for our mains was pretty long (despite us ordering around 18:30 on a not too busy Thursday), to the point where we had to ask how much longer our food would be. When they finally arrived, the main portion sizes were on the smaller side and I wasn't stunned by the quality - especially for the price. We all left feeling a bit deflated, and we won't be coming back. There was a 12.5% service charge added automatically to the bill, which we paid.

Shocking service and the place wasn’t even full. 20 minutes before they even asked us what we wanted to drink and that only because we called them and wait wait wait to order and wait again for food. When asked if everything alright I said no, very lacking in chicken on my salad. Said he’d bring me some more. Eventually did but only after reminding him and then he actually put the extra on the bill. Refused to pay for it and for service charge. Shocking. Will never go there again. Rip off.

The guy at the desk was extremely rude and off hand, we arrived and had not booked although for the previous weeks we had not booked and had been greeted by very friendly, this particular staff member needs to learn some customer service skills. On arrival we were told the kitchen was too busy to take orders and we would need to wait 30 minutes. The restaurant was not even full to capacity, not sure why we the order couldn’t be taken as we were happy to wait 30 mins for food to arrive at table,. We waited and then asked another staff member to take our order when we were the ‘told off’ because we had been told food orders would take 30 minutes! Left shortly after that, terrible customer experience

Gusto Didsbury has always been my reliable, delicious local Italian restaurant. I've been going there for years as a happy customer. Today, I visited with a friend. My pasta dish was served (fresh parmesan grated on top by the waiter) but after one or two forkfuls I realised it was too salty to eat. I made the waiter aware (I think his name was Anthony), who apologised and took the dish back to be replaced as quickly as possible. He returned with a beautifully seasoned replacement, and offered to comp our first round of drinks to make up for it. I was so surprised and grateful for the great service, that of course I had to leave a review! Would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant for great food and excellent service!

Food was great.Ordered scallop starter - highly recommend, prawns with fennel- lovely, ceasar salad starter with chicken - needed extra dressing- polenta croutons are sinfully good. Quiet Tuesday evening , only 2 staff on, they closed off 75% of restaurant to condense customers. There were a couple of times I had to go to the staff to make requests, other than that no issues. Will return!

Just popped into Gusto's about 6.00pm on a Saturday evening. Hadn't booked but were greeted very warmly and got a table straight away, even the restaurant and Didsbury in general were very busy. Service was quick and very friendly and the food was lovely. Would definitely go again.

Loved our first visit there on Tuesday, we were served by the lovely Jessica, she's an absolute credit to the establishment, made sure we were well looked after and even helped interpret some confusing art! Made extra care to cater to my Son with an egg allergy too, even checking over the ice cream options. The food was amazing, I'll definitely return.

It was a lovely mid week day off. we fancied something different than our go to places. From the moment you pull the door open there is an outdoor themed seating which looked lovely, delicate and warm. For some reason that warmth reminded me of the time you’d be outside on a cold raining day, you’d run home and as soon as you’re home, it’s warm, comforting and a sense of belonging - like the feeling of your loved ones waiting for you to be home. Then you into the restaurant and greeted with a lovely smile. It’s rather overwhelming in a good way. My wife loved the vibe and energy whilst it made me love people. It sounds crazy but we as humans have become to distant in human interaction at times, these small little things gives us all little moments of hope. pasta was soft delicate and the flavours were like a firework display full of vibrant joy. The pan grilled salmon was lovely and the green complimented the fillet like how the stars illuminate the sky at night. The potato's should have been a little more soft though. The pizza was almost perfect. I couldn’t help but compare it to the greatest pizza I have ever had which in the Middle East. The staff were also very friendly and very engaging but not too intrusive. Thank you.

Great food, especially the Chateaubriand and friendly staff. Booked because they allow dogs in the 'conservatory' area but this is actually just the front outside area of the restaurant. It is covered and enclosed but it doesn't have the same atmosphere as the indoor seating area

Love Gusto's, been going to this restaurant for years, I never get bored of the food, and the selection of Spanish and Italian bottles are on point, add this to the best fish dishes and you can'tgo wrong. 5 stars from me every time.

Good food a good service. It's never absolutely amazing but it is definitely good enoufhr for a quiet weeknight or relaxed evening. We always find that the service is quite intense... everyone seems really wired or a bit edgy lol

The internal area is very noisy, difficult to have a conversation. The women's restroom had no toilet paper, was dirty and had vomit everywhere. As a starter we ordered the bruschetta, which besides being expensive, came in very small quantity. Vegan options are basic, all with arrabiata sauce (spicy) meaning that all vegan dishes have the same flavour, changing only the type of pasta. Positive point: all wines on the menu have an indication of being vegan or not. The dessert (banoffee tart) was sour. Overpriced place.

Lovely environment, very clean, nice background music, extremely attentive staff and lots of choice on the menu. Only downside was the food was a little overpriced for the quality and portions I thought. However the breads were amongst the best I’ve tasted…particularly the rosemary focaccia

Had a brilliant night catching up with friends. The meal was delicious. I had the Chicken Supreme with Mushroom & Tarragon. Service was excellent and the staff catered to our needs. The tables were nicely spaced out. Parking was easy to find down the side streets and outside the restaurant.

Gusto is always lovely, the setting is plush and clean, the atmosphere refined and the staff attentive. We had a couple of glitches though and this would have been 3⭐ but the waitress saved them. Focaccia and meatballs to start the bread was fantastic but the meatballs were stone cold.... and when they returned warm, it had taken so long that the focaccia was gone... yes we ate it but if we hadn't then it would've been cold. Would have been nicer together. Then the main course came and I had the Carnivoro.... it completely lacked flavour almost to the point of bland. Not only that but we were not offered condiments, it took about 5 minutes to attract anyone's attention to get parmesan and pepper. We mentioned all this when the bill came and the price of the meatball starter was deducted. Hence 4 not 3 stars. It is still lovely in here and we will be back to take advantage of half price January. Fingers crossed for next time to be back up to standard.

We went to catch up with a dear friend and celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday. Have been to the Albert Docks's branch years ago. Gorgeous setting. Delicious food - scallops, shared platter, calamari and mushroom fettucini - all great choices Great! Super service - thanks Francesca and have a lovely birthday on Saturday! An Italian Gem in Disbury👏😊

Didn’t feel very welcomed or taken care of during our visit today. We didn’t wait too long for our order to be taken or for our food to come out but interactions with staff members felt frosty and we felt quite ignored. As we were leaving, we walked past the staff member (host/manager) who seated us and he stared at us and offered no goodbye. Our initial interaction with him wasn’t very warm either. The restaurant is very loud due to both music and people (the latter obviously can’t be controlled) and it made it very hard to have an enjoyable date night and talk to each other. The food was absolutely delicious though and the decor is lovely. The chicken and mushroom pasta and the pork gnocchi were great. We did end up paying the 12.5% service charge but wish we hadn’t.

Had to send all 3 dishes back to the kitchen. Ordered from the Christmas menu.: The soup was cold, it was served in a bowl, no plate underneath it, no accompanying slice of bread. The main meal was also cold in temperature. sent this back..reheated in the microwave. The waiter brought dishes to us in his hands without a tray...not the best etiquette...I've not been to Gusto for at least 3 months, I will take a break from them again.

Unfortunately this was a really stressful dinner - we had to chase waiters to order, chase the food once ordered, chase to order additional items and the same to pay the bill. Not at all the fault of the staff who were perfectly pleasant. Massively under staffed. The food was nice but overall it was expensive and there was no feeling that we were being looked after in any way. If we hadn’t gone to the effort to keep trying to grab attention, I don’t think our order would have been taken for a very long time.
