Booked for 4 nights, sadly not for me, left after 2. Booked because of the amazing reviews, which I think are misleading. Cons Main issue for me was the bed, possibly the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in, and I've travelled a lot. Felt like lying on a saggy bag of laundry. The toilet is so cramped between the wall and shower its very difficult to use/squeeze into (im not fat either!). Also no food of an evening and not allowed takeaways in your room, which meant that as I worked late in the evening It was very inconvenient. Last main issue was the WiFi, kept cutting in and out, which made work meetings difficult. The other issues I had (which normally i would overlook) were no room service (over a 4 night stay), carpets in rooms are old and tired, one of the walls was decorated with brown parcel paper which just looked horrible! Pros. It's quite clean overall (extractors in bathroom need cleaning) lovely garden and the gent who greeted me was fairly pleasant, but I never saw him again until I left, didn't even bother to enquire as to why I was leaving early, or ask how my stay was, possibly used to people leaving early?! Also, free WiFi (but cons as above). As I said, wasn't for me, and no idea what the other hotels in the area are like, but I wouldn't score this above a 6-7 average compared to other hotels/guest houses I've stayed at. I checked out early and booked into the hilton instead.

Very welcoming bed very comfortable No toilet in room, on landing. Too much brown furniture in room and black wallpaper bit dark. Dressing table 90° to wall odd. Nice owners. Not bad position in Sale.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The rooms are spacious and very stylish and the owner was very welcoming. The breakfast was very good, came with a freshly made fruit salad and parking is provided.

A really beautiful house and the twin room I stayed in for two nights with my Mam was lovely. We loved the dining room, which is filled with plants and decorated in a quirky but classy way. Very convenient location too! Sale is a short walk (by the canal) away and has lots of places to eat. The metro stop to go into Manchester or Altrincham is also very nearby. Breakfast was really delicious! Tony is very welcoming and friendly and has a wealth of knowledge about the area. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Tony! 😊

Beautiful guest house of about 9 rooms with a lovely host and free parking (accessible via the back). Very reasonably priced with a range of room options - don't be worried by the 'shared bathroom' for these are very clean and looked after. Well decorated throughout, shared lounge and dining area looked comfortable and inviting. Good location with short walks into Sale centre and to Brooklands Tram stop. Convenient with a small Morrison's across the road. Very comfortable bed, clean room and soft bedding.

Outstanding, from start to finish, the whole experience was fantastic. Arrived an hr before check in, Tony welcomed me early and allowed me to check in. Booked room No 2 with en-suite. Loved the room, modern touches within a victorian house. Room was spacious, clean & warm. No hot food allowed in the rooms, but dining room on ground floor was free to use, if you fancied a take-away. Separate living room adjacent to the dining area, if you are with a larger party wanting to relax. Even though its located on a busy main road, you couldn't hear any traffic. Free parking located at the rear, access via garden at side of property to the front. Town center a short walk away, with multiple stores, pubs & restaurants. Fully recommend the stay. Excellent host, running a wonderful guest house.

Great location, close to local shops and tram stop so Manchester centre close by. Great room in a beautiful building, and host was really accommodating and friendly. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful, quiet place which gives you a very homely feel. Very clean and well maintained. Great service and everyone was very friendly. Not that expensive too. Offers breakfast for 11 pounds. Has a bus stop nearby and the nearest tram station is about 10 mins away by walk. Check in time is 5pm, which is a bit late but otherwise it's a very nice place to stay. Recommended, would visit again

We recieved a fantastic welcome at this guest house. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a great nights sleep. We would definately recommend booking here. Location for the city centre was perfect, easy to drive to with parking and only 15min on the tram to piccadilly (short easy walk to the tram stop). The house itself was clean, welcoming and tastefully decorated.

Lovely guest house in a central location with parking. Close to the tram stop and an easy canal walk into Sale for choice of bars and eateries. The owner is very friendly and efficient and gave us useful tips for our stay in the area. The whole house is tastefully decorated with attention to detail and has lovely landscaped gardens that screen any traffic noise from the road. Breakfast is very good and any requests are welcomed. Room was light, airy and the bed comfortable with lovely crisp bedding. We would definitely recommend and return with pleasure.

A very cozy and lovely hotel. Perfectly decorated with lounge, dining room and vintage-style stairs. Excellent service by the host Tony. Comfortable room and tranquil environment. Pristine and dirt free. Simply beautiful. Transportation is great too. I will definitely stay there again if I visit Manchester one day. Thank you Tony. I wish you all the best.

A charming b&b, friendly and welcoming. Lovely and warm despite the cold weather outside! The room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. A short stroll from Brooklands Metrolink stop and an easy 10 min walk into Sale. We look forward to staying again in the future.

I cannot praise this stay enough, from our welcome from Tony, the lovely clean and comfortable room, the breakfast.... everything was excellent. The decor and cleanliness of the whole hotel was superb. One tip - Parking entry is not from main road but Harboro Road Many thanks Tony

Incredible service and location. Host was very friendly and the house was beautiful inside and out. Very conveniently placed near a bus stop and a tram station only an 8 minute walk away. For such a reasonable price as well, would highly recommend!

A lovely place to stay. Quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's on a main road so there are good public transport links to Manchester, Altrincham and Sale. Tony was a great host, very welcoming and professional. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Cornerstones for an excellent short break.

We had a excellent stay in Cornerstone guest house! Thanks to Tony who made even our stay better. In less then 10 minutes walking you can reach the tram/metro station to Manchester center. Public transport was very easy to reach all destinations. If I go one day again to Manchetser I will definitely stay in Cornestone. It was a charming hotel!

My son and I spent two nights at this beautiful guesthouse when watching the test match at Old Trafford. It was very clean and tidy, the room was immaculate the beds were comfortable and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was delicious. We'll certainly book again if we're in the area.

I love this place. The host is a very pleasant gentleman and the rooms are large and also quite quirky but in a nice way. There are plenty of amenities very close by and a couple of good friendly pubs also. Parking is very easy and I slept very well in a very comfortable bed.

Super clean and fresh. Very helpful and nice owner. Cool old house. Tip: if you want a shower rent the en-suite rooms. The budget rooms have a cool bathroom , but no shower ( just bath) . Breakfast good - Fresh squeezed OJ as well. I’m sure he would accommodate reasonable food request. I would go back again.

Great stay at the Cornerstones guest house. Spotlessly clean room - nice decor and loads of space. Had all the comforts I needed including a hairdryer. Lovely big bathroom, excellent shower and loads of space to put all my bits and pieces out. Free parking included. Lovely welcome and top notch host. Excellent vale for money.
