😐 Dark dingy, may aswell not have a roof with the amount of water dripping down, not sure if this is intentional to simulate a storm. The team deserves better, maybe they would play better if they didn't have to worry about packing a raincoat and umbrella. People often mention game, hockey, Storm, storm, night,

So my partner used to watch Manchester storm as a child and really wanted to take the kids. I am so glad we did, we had one of the best family days out in ages. The atmosphere is fabulous. The game it’s self was a joy to watch and we were on the edges of seats most the time. We can’t wait to return. Bringing our own snacks cos the ques for food was v long.

It’s a fun (and cost effective) night out. The hockey is a decent standard and even though the rink is small compared to the other teams in the league – it’s still a good atmosphere. The crowd, whilst small, is loyal and loud. You’ll hear them banging drums their throughout the entire game. Tickets are easy to come by – just buy them from the website and they send you an e-ticket. My advice is to buy the cheapest ticket you can find and sit anywhere that’s free. Or just stand around the perimeter like some of the people there. Food & drink is reasonably priced, but if not, bring your own (even though you’re not supposed to, nobody really checks). The only downsides are that the walkways can be cramped with people just standing around, and the car parking (which is free after 6:00pm, but otherwise you have to pay for) is a pain to get in and out of. If you’re arriving late, park at the Tesco opposite the street, which gives you three hours of free parking … enough to get in and out of an ice hockey match without being fined. Went to the New Years’ Day game against the Nottingham Panthers and the Manchester Storm ran out 4-0 winners (including an empty net goal with 5 minutes left, not sure why that happened?!). Solid performance from the home side and you’d leave here happy if you’re a Storm fan after seeing them play like that. Overall, it’s a fun activity if you’re itching for something to do around the Altrincham area, or if you’re an ice hockey fan that fancies some live action.

If you have never been then a trip to the Manchester Storm is a good night out. The rink is past its best but in some respects that adds a little to its appeal. While Storm are usually among the lower clubs in the league you will get a better than average chance of seeing them win while they at home as they have mastered overcoming what is one of the smaller rinks in the league. Food and drink is available at the rink as well as a shop should you want to pick up some Storm merchandise.

My first live ice hockey match, organised by me as a surprise for two German guests, who are avid ice hockey fans. I was amazed at the speed of the game in such a seemingly tight playing area. A wonderful experience.

Having returned to watching ice hockey after many years we've loved going back and the kids have really got into it. Large car park which face off time depending is generally free ( just make sure you check and make sure you park within the lines). Lots of food and drink to choose from all reasonably priced. The is a storm shop selling ice hockey mercy, and also a bar. Highly recommend!!

Come on you storm!!!!! What a game, what a win! The stadium has good parking and is easily accessible from main routes into Altrincham. The atmosphere in the stadium is amazing, there are no fans like storm fans! I had a hot dog which wasn't massively hot but it is sort of what you expect from stadium food and is the reason why I have gone for four stars. Beer is sold by the pint or by pitcher full and there are nachos, hot dogs, burgers and pizzas between £4 and £9 each. When the stadium is full it is difficult to get food and drinks or visit the toilet due to queues but it is worth the wait for the great hockey action. Any one thinking of going should make the trip and soak up the atmosphere!! You are able to buy raffle tickets for 50% of the gate tickets, a player's shirt and players stick from the game at £1 each. There is also a "chuck a puck" game where you can buy some foam pucks and chuck them at targets in between period 2 and 3. You can win some good prizes - fun for all the family. Children are very welcome and swearing in the bleachers is very limited and is frowned upon by the stadium staff.

What a night out. Watching a fantastic sport with fantastic entertainment. Beers, pizza etc all available. Right next to Altrincham centre so the night can continue after the storm have won! Parking is easy. Everyone needs to try watching a game!

Right by the tram stop so it's easy to find. Pretty basic place but it does fulfil it's purpose.

We love it here after getting into the sport attending a Maple Leafs game in Toronto. However, the smell of urine from the main home stand toilets between periods is offensive. This surely has to be rectified for 19/20

Friendly club. Venue is not the best but as the club don't own not sure what they can do to make it better. They do have a freaky looking mascot.
