It’s
a
fun
(and
cost
effective)
night
out.
The
hockey
is
a
decent
standard
and
even
though
the
rink
is
small
compared
to
the
other
teams
in
the
league
–
it’s
still
a
good
atmosphere.
The
crowd,
whilst
small,
is
loyal
and
loud.
You’ll
hear
them
banging
drums
their
throughout
the
entire
game.
Tickets
are
easy
to
come
by
–
just
buy
them
from
the
website
and
they
send
you
an
e-ticket.
My
advice
is
to
buy
the
cheapest
ticket
you
can
find
and
sit
anywhere
that’s
free.
Or
just
stand
around
the
perimeter
like
some
of
the
people
there.
Food
&
drink
is
reasonably
priced,
but
if
not,
bring
your
own
(even
though
you’re
not
supposed
to,
nobody
really
checks).
The
only
downsides
are
that
the
walkways
can
be
cramped
with
people
just
standing
around,
and
the
car
parking
(which
is
free
after
6:00pm,
but
otherwise
you
have
to
pay
for)
is
a
pain
to
get
in
and
out
of.
If
you’re
arriving
late,
park
at
the
Tesco
opposite
the
street,
which
gives
you
three
hours
of
free
parking
…
enough
to
get
in
and
out
of
an
ice
hockey
match
without
being
fined.
Went
to
the
New
Years’
Day
game
against
the
Nottingham
Panthers
and
the
Manchester
Storm
ran
out
4-0
winners
(including
an
empty
net
goal
with
5
minutes
left,
not
sure
why
that
happened?!).
Solid
performance
from
the
home
side
and
you’d
leave
here
happy
if
you’re
a
Storm
fan
after
seeing
them
play
like
that.
Overall,
it’s
a
fun
activity
if
you’re
itching
for
something
to
do
around
the
Altrincham
area,
or
if
you’re
an
ice
hockey
fan
that
fancies
some
live
action.
