Food was ok. Good beers. Staff we're friendly enough.

It has been years since my wife & I last visited Harvester, but this time will be certainly be much much sooner to be back again. Like the title says expected nothing but came away very pleased, the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff, always smiling and very polite. The meal was very fresh and cooked excellently, and for the pricing very good. 3 course meal for £12 you can't fault that at all. We really couldn't fault anything. If Harvester could do anything to improve it would be maybe to redecorate the restaurant looks a little worn, but nevertheless the staff and meal was a lot more than expected and would fully recommend.

It's been a while since I visited The Harvester as I was really put off the last time. I have to say that this time it was much improved... The food was delicious, the server was fabulous, (thank you Jess) and the environment was very pleasant. The toilets were very clean too, a transformation from my visits previously, when I had repeatedly complained about them not being clean. I will definitely be coming back, especially since there is a choice of vegan options on the menu and the salad bar was very good. 😋

Nice place for lunch, very good deal with set menu (2 or 3 courses). We chose the set menu and there were enough options to choose from, also a few vegetarian dishes. A nice bonus was a free salad bar. Food was tasty and arrived quite quickly. Our waitress was very nice. I also really liked the decorations, felt very cosy and comfortable. Outside there's a big parking lot. I can recommend this place for a quick lunch at a good price.

We had a lovely meal and the staff where really helpful and explained that they would get the food from the sald bar for us because of covid rules nothing was to much trouble for them.. and I would definitely go again

We came for breakfast with 3 children. The kids loved their pancakes and they let us exchange chocolate for syrup on one. We ordered the steak and hash browns, which was good but the steak a little tough in parts. The server Elle, was lovely and friendly and service was quick. Overall we had a nice brunch!

The food was fine Not too many choices on the salads and the waitresses been always forgetting something . Asked for the drinks twice to get them , same for the dessert . Good value for the money .

It good place and you can help yourself to salad and they do refill soft drinks and friendly Staff. The chicken was a bit dry and the gravy was a bit watery and ribs was good but not as much taste but corn the cob was delicious.

We haven't been to this Harvester for at least 5 years and the previous experience was not good, However after a check of the reviews, all good, we booked and the four of us went for lunch. The food and service is superb, the salad bar was very good and every one loved their meals The server Jess was superb, great service with a smile, happy to talk through the menu when a choice wasn't available. Will definitely be back

First time back here in nigh on 10 years as it wasn't good at all back then... However, things have massively improved.. Food choice was so so much better this time. Staff were excellent and attentive. All round a really good meal that we both enjoyed. We shall be back again soon for sure.

Good food but same menu and still can not pick own salad. Service was great

First visit in a long time this evening! And it was great! I had the rack of ribs (as always!) this time with spicy fries which I’d never tried before! I really enjoyed the meal. All the staff were friendly but a special mention to ‘Annabelle’ who looked after myself and my friends at our table. Her service was friendly and efficient which certainly added positively to the visit. Will certainly return.

What a lovely meal we had. My daughter and I had the 2 course lunch. We had the same starters but different mains. It was all cooked beautifully and hot when it arrived. The salad bar was well stocked and staff who served it were lovely. All the staff were great. Very welcoming as we haven't been for a long time. Service excellent. Thanks for a lovely time.

Was overcharged I couldn't get back on the same day so I can't have a refund. The information wasn't passed over correctly and I did get a refund so I have changed the scoring as the food was actually very nice it was only the billing that let the experience down.

The salad bar was looking sad. I ordered baked potato which was inedible and looked like it had been baked several hours earlier.. black charred and brown in the middle. There is something wrong when a chef thinks it’s ok to serve something like that.

Just had Xmas lunch. More expensive than normal but excellent food, service and value. Staff great. Carry on the good work

Visited on my way home, safe fo say it didn't disappoint. All staff were very welcoming and friendly. Xsara was my server and the highlight off my visit. Food was presented well and out in a reasonable time, just simply amazing. Will be back soon. Thank you guys

There was a warm and friendly welcome, a nice atmosphere..and a reasonable waiting time considering there was a large party there. Our food came out piping hot! The salad bar was well stocked and our server was really friendly and helpful x

The service was very slow we arrived for 5.30 and it took over 2 .5 hours to get our food and my food was cold , everything was awful 😞 there was 8 of us and all our food came out at different times and I had a food allergy and my food didn't get prepared in a allergy free area. We won't be visiting ever again

Was served by Beth today she was a very attentive host offering excellent service and a warm smile. Really enjoyed the food. Only a couple of crying children that upset the atmosphere. Other than that very happy

Staff are friendly and professional the bar area and restaurant area are very clean the table was set lovely and it was very clean. The atmosphere in the restaurant and bar area are great the restaurant was decorated with Christmas decorations which made it all a lovely place and cosy .. The menu is great with a great selection of meals. Food was delicious and hot when served drinks were also good. Will definitely be visiting again

We arrived on time for our table and we was shown straight to our table. We was a table of 12, 6 adults and 6 children. On arrival we was informed it was table service and someone would be along shortly to take our order. Someone came to take our order about 20 past 5. Our drinks arrived 10 minutes later and we then waited for our order. A few in the party ordered starters, these arrived about 6:15pm. Once eaten the plates were cleared away and we continued to wait for meals. At 6:35pm we asked when our food would be arriving as the children where hungry and we were told there was another big table in front of us then ours would be plated. Our food was finally served at 6:55pm. This is an extremely long time to wait for food and we had young children with us. When the food arrived, one order was slightly wrong, another chicken meal was charcoal on one side, my daughter had a child's/junior meal and it came with about 6 chips on it, so I ended uo sharing some of mine with her. We didn't stay for dessert because it was now 7:30pm and the children had enough. The staff were lovely and had great customer service.

Been here today with a friend and My mum. Food was really nice! Tasha was exceptional. A real role model of what customer service should be. She was happy and very polite and acted as though she couldn't do enough for us. Was lovely to see a nice happy face and a very helpful girl. Made our trip even more pleasant. Thank you Tasha x

Had an excellent dinner here, Food was well presented and very good, Service was excellent our waiter was Aran. Great Value for money and will be going back. The 2/3 courses midweek menu had plenty of choice something for everyone

Booked a table for lunch last minute, there was no problem fitting my party in. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table. We didn't have to wait too long for our drink and food order to be taken and the food arrived quickly. The salad bar was fully stocked, the food we requested was all available and drinks were brought quickly. Food was really nice and we also ordered dessert. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Came for lunch whilst shopping and realised Sainsburys cafe was shut. Lots of parking spaces close by. Two adults and a toddler. We were seated quickly, restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. Small portions for kids (pictured below) was well more than enough for my 2 year old! I was very impressed. Food was nice, only downside for me was that there wasn’t as much salad as pre Covid but we still enjoyed it a lot.

Come here quit often Withy my family when visiting. Love the unlimited salad option with all the condiments. However more recently they don’t have full selection and would like more variety. Great choice of food and menus spoilt for choice. Ordered from the festive menu but unfortunately the vegan option was not available which was really disappointing. Food was generally good. They were very accommodating giving us time to arrange ours as and take this family photograph. I ordered an expression martini which tasted awful and when I checked it was correct but a pre made one, definitely don’t recommend. They did replace it with an alternative. The other complaint I have was that it was freezing and half of us had to sit in our coats and took away from the experience. Would have been 4 star but this took it to 3 The profiterole dessert was absolutely delicious 😋

Bit of a let down for a massive pub! Good food! Brilliant staff! Very overpriced and very untidy pub but most all satisfactory.

Had a meal and drink. Social distancing measures are in place. We were seated and told who would be waiting on us. Waited more than 10 minutes to give our order, even though the place was fairly quiet. I had the chilly non carne. It was nice, but the rice was dry and the chilly was served in a small bowl within the main bowl, I really do not like that. The portion size was meagre for £10.49 We were going to order some deserts, but again we waited a little too long so we just paid the bill and left. We have had better service at the harvester, so this was a little disappointing.

Staff went the extra mile during the covid thing. Absolutely brilliant service. Food was ace but the front of house team really did an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend it. But remember the self serve stuff is now done by the staff so decide what you want and don't mess them about. Some of the best service I've ever had and I e been to some "posh" places. The staff were absolutely brilliant, working their arses off, to keep people happy and safe. I hope they're all proud of themselves because they should be.

Look out was OK, food was edible but it won't win any awards. Quality was low but plenty of it, which seems to be the order of the day with all eateries like these. Won't be returning in a hurry.

They offer an awesome variety of fresh food. I loved dining here. Employees are always welcoming, pricing is fair and the spot is always neat.

Gone really downhill. The steak barm with pan fried onions was awful, steak was cooked fine, however was very tough and could not be eaten on the barm, onions were also burnt. £5 for 4 small slices of garlic bread that was burnt. Awful. Both items were comped but shouldn't have even come out the kitchen in the state they were. Will not be returning.

Lovely lunch made all the better for the service. Not many staff on but didn't feel that we waited very long. Job well done under the circumstances.

If I choose the restaurant and everyone in my family is available we go here. Most often for the breakfast, this is the most important meal of the day and only meal of the day when we go. Huge breakfast with great food, attentive staff a wide variety of continental breakfast items with breads fruit yogurt, juices lovely filter coffee. I cannot recommend this place enough for breakfast. Excellent value, Excellent Quality, Excellent Service.

I've been here a few times and never been disappointed. Good service and the food was really good each time, with a free salad bar while you wait for your meals. Nice place.

Went here for breakfast this morning with my wife and enjoyed a very pleasant experience. Server was very polite, efficient and informative. Food variety more than met our needs. Food quality of the cooked food was excellent. Service time was very good giving us time to decide what we wanted, time to chat before food arrived without it being ages. Overall very pleased and will definitely go here again. Well that was disappointing went for breakfast 1st time since reopening after lockdown, and wasnt great. Slow service, staff way out of their depth in terms of being able to cope with the level of customers. Cooked breakfast was still good but because staff now bring drinks and toast rather than self service it meamt we waited 20mins for drink and toast i had to remind them and turned up after my wife amd i both finished our main breakfast. Also the strawberry on my wifes pancakes was an absolute disgrace. Looked like 1 strawberry really thinnly sliced and looked like it had been left out for some time as really dry. Not happy.

Food was good, even though the order was total wrong. Food came out way to quick. Hadn't finished the salad and the starter was there. Then hadn't even started the starters and the mains was there. So we had salad, the starter and the main all on the table. Didn't know what to eat first!!

Easy, family dining available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Large car park available. Seating within the bar area for drinks if you're not dining. Large dining room. Main menu includes wraps, burgers, tapas type dishes etc. Refillable soft drinks are available. Service is good, usually friendly staff. At busy times service can be a little slow. This is because of the Coronavirus- the team have to take orders, deliver food, serve drink refills and salads (things that are usually self service). We regularly visit because it's an easy option to eat out as a family!
