My first visit to TGIF left me unimpressed. While I enjoyed the flavorful wall-to-wall chicken, the rest of the experience fell short. The chicken burger was overcooked and the meat tough, which was disappointing. On the positive side, they offer a 2-4-1 deal on cocktails. However, the service was lacking in attentiveness, which affected the overall experience. I hope they can improve these aspects for a better dining experience in the future.

We booked here for a table of 6. Orders taken no problem so far. Got the starters and again no problems. Food was all hot and tasty. On getting our main course this is where the night went down hill. Firstly 2 of the kids meals that we ordered where wrong when they arrived at the time although they were reasonably fast to sort this out. But after eating just over half of my burger I realised that it was still raw in the middle of it as you can see from the picture. The waitress was nowhere to be seen but did come and do a check back when everyone had nearly finished. I told her about the burger, and she said that she would get her manager. She then came back to say that the manager would come over after everyone had finished eating. Not much good to resolve the matter at that point. The manager did then come over and ask rather abruptly what the problem was! I informed him I don't like to eat raw burgers, which he replied asking why I had eaten half of it then? I should have told them sooner when the check back was done, so he could have replaced it. Of course, I told him the check back was only done late on and I was never offered a new meal only that the manager would come over after everyone else had finished. He then told me “well all I can do now is take it off the bill”. Which he did as well as the wrong kid’s meals. The really disappointing part was that at no point did he apologise for the mistake and very much left me feeling like it was my fault. Even the young kid in the party commented on how rude he came across. I get mistakes can be made in the kitchen but it is then how it is dealt with after. Had the manager understood what customer service is and just said sorry and not been aggressive in his approach to me I very much doubt I would have written this review.

Never expected this place to have this kind of food! Everything was 10\10 delicious! Staff was so nice! He was so nice even when I accidentally dropped a knife on the ground he assured me that he will bring another and that there’s no need to worry about it. Anyways you definitely need to go here!

One of the worst meals myself and my family have had. My meal- I ordered chicken fajitas, the chicken was so tough, like rubber, the veg was such thin slices, had no seasoning and was limp. I had to ask for the cheese as they'd forgot that. A teaspoon of salsa, sour cream and guacamole with tiny wraps. My partners -sticky chicken burger. Stone cold. The chicken piece was about 1/4 of a chicken breast, dry and hardly any stone cold chips. Child's fish fingers- cold and forgot to bring out the finger strips of carrot, apple and cucumber which when they did were dry and the apple was brown. Grandparents- both had the chicken gujons. Again dry. We were shocked at the amount of sweet potato fries which was less than my babies portion of sweet potato fries (see attached photo). I explained to our waitor and he rushed to get more sweet potato fries for my mother in law, the cucumber carrots and apples for my daughter, the cheese for myself and a new warm chicken burger and chips for my partner. My father in law said you've forgotten the honey mustard sauce and they just said oh we've run out. At no point did a manager come over to us an apologise. When we got the bill we had been over charged for another burger that we didn't have. I wish I'd have taken more pictures as I was upset my father in law offered to pay £82 for a meal that was honestly worse than a happy meal.

AWFUL- RUINED 21ST BIRTHDAY!! Absolutely ruined my sons 21st birthday. Although we were seated quickly by the meet and greet outside the restaurant the service inside the restaurant was awful. Whilst waiting to be noticed we tried hard to fix our table as it had a significant wobble with two drinks menus but to no avail. When our waitress did finally come over she didn’t seem very happy and promptly told me that it was not her problem (I never suggested that it was!) that she had just come on shift that there was no refillable drinks, no Coke or Diet Coke and no draft beers at all as they still had a problem with the gas. We asked if they had bottled soft drinks and if they could be refilled instead and a swift nope was the answer. I asked if the waitress could give us a few minutes and watched our waitress in full view of all the customers in the restaurant relay her disgust using hand gestures about my upset at the drinks situation. When her manager came over I suggested to him that maybe if his team had a problem with customers that this should be discussed in private. The manager confirmed that there was nothing he could do even after explaining it was my sons 21st birthday and just stood staring. I’m disgusted with the lack of service, filthy restaurant and the high expectations of what used to be a great restaurant that were ruined at TGI Friday Trafford Centre.

Not as good as l expected. Steak was overcooked and looked like jerky. Complained about it and replaced it with a new one. However, it was still a normal steak. Chicken wings were delicious, but l would hope they give more wings. A plate with three wings doesn't look like a American restaurant.

nice decor, decent food and horrible service. no cutlery, no tissue, no plates provided and had to ask for everything. missed items from our food order, mentioned it and still were included in the bill at the end. had to revise the bill twice as they keep including stuff that never arrived to our table. paid by cash and wrong changes given, had to ask for that to rectify. while complaining about the service, their defence was too busy for a Wednesday night and we could notice merely 20% of the tables had been occupied!

The food was ok, it was a bank holiday weekend so it was a bit crowded. The service was amazing, and the environment was very neat. I enjoyed every bit of dinner with friends.

I cannot believe how much the prices have gone up! We always look forward to going to tgi as a treat and luckily we receive a 20% discount but honestly we won't be going in future. £20 for a burger and chips is ridiculous!

My kids absolutely love this place. Can’t fault the kids menu for choice, staff are always lovely every time we’ve been. Nothing seems too much effort and it’s really family friendly. Nachos are spicy but my god they’re good. The sesame seed chicken strips are my all time fave but foods nice overall for a chain restaurant. Alcoholic drinks are a bit pricey but If it’s a treat then go for it. It really is the staff that make the place here though I think massive thumbs up from us!

Visited with my partner for a birthday meal. TGI Fridays has always been one of our favourite place to eat but feel like it's started to go down hill a little lately. 😬 Was quite busy when we arrived so had to que for 5 minutes which we didn't mind at all. We was seated at an uneven table so it wobbled a lot. My partner had to wedge a piece of card underneath to level it out slightly. We felt the tables was way to close together so had to squeeze through to get out. 🙄 Ordered drinks, starters & mains. 🍹 Starters came really fast within 5 minutes or so but although the guy that served us was polite, we didn't have any cutlery on the table so had to sit waiting for a few minutes for someone to come over to ask for them. Also asked another lady for a straw but she never came back so had to ask someone else..🤦‍♀️ Plates from our starters wasn't cleared from our table so there was no room for our mains so had to shuffle plates round to clear them. Again, no cutlery so had to sit & wait for someone to walk past to ask. Seemed to be an issue all around as each group seated to the left & right of us all had to ask for cutlery numerous times. 🤔 Although there was no issues with the food, the meals was really good, just feel like they could work on the customer service a little. 🤏

I've genuinely not had an experience as nice as we had here from a restaurant that isn't high-end dining. Our waitress Taryn was very friendly and super helpful, always asking if we needed anything whilst she was at the table with drinks or plates. Even apologising just because the main course arrived as we finished our starters (will never be something I'd be complaining about, but much appreciated). Overall, exceptional service and you can tell she's committed to providing such. This time, I was trying out the vegan options, and although I do miss having their chicken and JD Sauce, the meat substitutes were very tasty in their own rights. The soft tacos were delicious and well filled, I'm not sure what the meat substitute was, but the subtle spices made it very enjoyable. For my main I had the Beyond Burger. It was a very different experience to a normal beef burger as the meat substitute was so soft, if the beef was that soft you'd be concerned. But the taste was definitely just as good. The burger was overpowered by the large mushroom, so I took that off after a few bites so that I could taste the beyond patty. This is one of the few vegan meals I've had that have actually made me feel full and satisfied. The fries here are always exceptional, perfectly salted, crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside and not too steaming hot. They always have 2-4-1 cocktails on, which is one of the best bits about TGI's, and usually they're really good. However, these fell short unfortunately. The instastoli's tasted very watered down, when they're usually full of fruit flavour, and the new Blue horizon was very sweet, it almost became sour, we couldn't finish them.

We went as a family of four yesterday 24/06/22 for dinner between 6.30pm - 7pm. We were seated upstairs so I was told by one server to leave my pram downstairs. As I did what I was instructed to do, the manager was glaring at me with a look of disgust on his face as he was telling other staff that I cannot leave my pram there. He wasn’t discreet in the slightest and offered no solutions. Lacked in professionalism he could have easily and friendly approached me to assist. Servers especially our waitress Maria were welcoming, helpful and extremely approachable. They all absolutely go above and beyond to make sure you have a nice time. The food is overpriced for what it is. It’s mediocre and it wasn’t very warm. £15 for a burger that wasn’t impressive, ouch! The cocktails were really nice. I recommend the purple rain. Going forward, we will probably return for dates or with friends for drinks but not as a family for food unfortunately.

Gone seriously down hill. Such a shame it used to be such a nice atmosphere and the food was lovely. Not any more. We ordered make your own wraps for the kids and they had to oudacity to serve the meal although they had ran out of wraps 😂 so just chicken bits on a plate and charged us full price. No side plates with our starter and when we asked they brought us 3, considering there was six of us. When our mains came they forgot two of them and supplied no knifes and forks. We had to ask three times. I could understand if it was busy but it just wasn't an the staff just smile and look at you like your stupid. The fully loaded sharing nachos have become no more then a bag of crisps thrown on a plate with cheese chucked on. We used to visit weekly but will not be returning. I doubt the place will last much longer running the way it is. Service terrible, food terrible, portion size terrible.

I couldn't fault the starters, enjoyed the ribs and the chicken wings as usual. The crockets were good also but my burger, was the worst burger I ever had. Its called the American burger, either the chef never had an American burger or may be he made the mistake with the name and nobody comes to ask if everything is ok with the food. The bred was hard, the meat hard and didn't taste anything couldn't eat it even if I was hungry, had to share my husbands steak. Without talking about the staff who don't know anything about the menu. Asked for garlic bread and been told there wasn't and then showing the menu to the waiter then he said oh OK cheese or garlic !! Could do better, the place was busy but not an excuse as there was plenty staff too many i would say but plenty of them not taking orders and just chatting

I think one star is too much, terrible meal in there today. 30 minutes for a table which we were happy to wait. Got our table and 45 minutes later had to chase our food, no one got back to us about what was happening. Around 20 minutes later told they had no skillet boards and the fajitas were the hold up. You can only entertain a hungry 7 year old for so long. The food came and the vegetarian fajitas were plain dry vegetables on a skillet with nothing! I had to ask where the sauces were to be shown the mustard and ketchup, I was referring to the salsa, sour cream and guacamole that is in the description on the menu??? Speaking to the staff to feel like they had an attitude is not the best customer service. To even give someone PLAIN vegetables and mainly onion at that I would be embarrassed. I only had 2 options as a vegetarian and they will certainly never be ordered again. The child’s meal had so much salt on the chips she couldn’t eat them. Appalling.

Lovely meal out, staff are always friendly. The food portions are very generous, and nice quality. The tiger fries are like a whole meal by themselves.

Very disappointing, burgers looks good in a photo but are super dry and they put a top bun in the middle 🤷‍♂️ I did let the managed know and was offered to cook it again but I’d already wait 45 minutes after taking our order and didn’t want wait another 45 mins so nothing was comped…. Should have went macdonalds

My partner and I went to this TGI's yesterday with the kids and it did not go well at all. We ordered drinks and food with our waitress (who was absolutely amazing) and waited for everything to arrive. Firstly they got two orders wrong, my partner ordered a chicken burger with no bacon, that came with bacon on it...twice! So even though we asked them to remake the whole chicken burger because we don't eat bacon whatsoever, they told us that they'd made a fresh one, when in fact, they'd just peeled it off and slapped the burger in a microwave to make it look like they made a new one, it still had a big piece of bacon stuck to the cheese and came with no salad or sauce on and the chicken was over cooked (the waitress did take this off of our bill). Secondly, one of the children asked for beans with their meal and got broccoli instead. The issue doesn't sound so bad until you get another waitress (not the one who was actually looking after our table) that was so rude about it, we actually made a complaint. The broccoli wasn't even cooked, it was still raw and when we asked for her to take it away, she rolled her eyes and walked off. The rest of the meal was relatively ok until I felt something between my teeth, it turned out to be a small piece of glass. By that point I couldn't be bothered to complain any further because the waitress that actually seated us went above and beyond and couldn't be more apologetic about our bad experience. It's a shame because we used to really like TGI's but unfortunately from this bad experience, I don't think we'll be visiting again. I can't thank our waitress enough for trying to help us out after she knew we'd had a bad experience this visit.

First walked over with a lady stood at the server stand and completely ignored us, then another lad walked near her eating crisps chatting away to his mates (he was wearing a uniform) Finally seated , first choice of chicken pasta wasn’t available ( we were the second people in of the day) . Ordered a burger as did my other half and it was shockingly bad. I would have expected better at McDonald’s but not paying £16 for 1 at TGI Fridays. It was nearly warm, beef burger itself felt like I was chewing a tyre . They person serving us was very nice and kind , absolutely no issue with them at all. But with the price of the food , I would expect it to be a hell of a lot better!

Brilliant visit to TGI Fridays at the Trafford Centre. We had initially booked for 12.30 however arrived at 12 and were seated as soon as they opened, which I'm glad we did as it got very busy shortly afterwards! The food was delicious, they brought our order slightly wrong but it was sorted out immediately. Our server Mel was exceptional - very friendly and attentive. Would always recommend the sesame chicken strips they are amazing!

We booked our table for 5.30. didn't get seated until 5.50. had to flag someone to take our order. The drinks came at three points. 6.15. 6.25 then 6.35. we had to chase for final lot. Not acceptable for two cordials, a coke, a lager, an orange juice and some lime and soda. Asked for high chair didn't get one. My kid fell under the table and she came back up and said the tables are disgusting mum. There is lots of gum underneath. My kid's hamburger was more than flame grilled. I think it was on fire. They did come over to ask if it was ok but by then we just wanted to go. Sad ending to a lovely day at the Trafford centre. Also those toilets were absolutely horrendous. For an upmarket establishment, totally shocking. Sadly, this is not the tgi I remember from when I used to frequent the one in Sale!! Never again.

Busy Saturday but after a slight wait to take up our booking due to the queue being a mix of walk ins and bookings which could have been a bit better (seperate queues for bookings to walk ins?), we were sat and ordering our food and drink pretty quickly. The orders came out quickly too and the staff got our drink refills sorted for us in good time. A good meal and quick service despite the busy period.

Lovely atmosphere and great staff. I ate the Louisiana Hot Mess and it was quite nice, however it was hard to eat due to the amount of hot sauce that was on it. My partner had the California Chicken Burger and loved it.

Very poor value for money. We both had the ultimate ribs, I wouldn’t like to se the classic ribs as the supposedly large ultimate ribs were small as was the small portion of fries and the portion of slaw was about one mouthful. Fries and slaw must be so cheap, so why can’t you increase portion size to give some perceived value for money. Left £65 worse off and still hungry. Staff were lovely though - professional, friendly and attentive.

Went yesterday with 2 of my friends. We were told that there will be a 30 minute wait, so I asked a manager beforehand if it's safe for me, as someone who has an allergy to sesame, to eat there, and they said yes. So we get seated to our table and as usual, the manager has to come and take my order. I ask for what I wanted, and a different manager said there is a risk of cross-contamination, and that they are unable to use different utensils to cook food for me and they can't cater to my needs as there is a high risk. I fail to see how a popular restaurant can't cater to someone with allergies in this day and age (like Wagamamas). It was awful how they made my friends and I wait for over 30 minutes only to be told that I can't eat there when I was first told (by the 1st manager) that it was safe. No apologies given to us either. Awful experience.

Trish is without a doubt one of the nicest servers in there. Family of 5! She helped so so much. Keeping the youngest occupied & ensuring we constantly had a top up of drinks & everything we needed! As a mum I can’t describe the level of helpful!!! If your booking ask to be put in Trish’s area. I promise you’ll be well looked after!

TGI were really accommodating when we turned up at 4pm requesting a table for nine people. Service was a little bit slow for a short while but it picked up and the staff were kind, attentive and helpful. I don’t stay somewhere for dessert if the service is poor, but we were all satisfied and only didn’t stay because we were full from starters and mains! We had a good night.

Took the family here and was absolutely stunned at how poor the food was, dare I say even seemed reheated and redistributed. I ordered a Wagu Burger and it was extremely over cooked , dry and tasted just plain old. What made all of this worse was that this place was incredibly overpriced. The staff was actually very nice but that just couldn't help how poor their food was. Stay away.

Visited as a family of 4 for our son’s birthday. Served by Tia who was simply wonderful - what a lovely lady. Service from her was ten out of ten. Portions were a bit smaller than we’ve had at other branches but everything was tasty and drinks were regularly refilled. Staff were welcoming and friendly. No issues whatsoever, and some other reviews state it’s “grubby” but not from what I saw (and I’m a right picky cow). Tables were cleaned between visitors, crockery clean and toilets were fresh. I’ve only knocked one star off for the skimpy portions and the deserts were VERY pricey.

  • 2/5 Gareth A. 2 years ago on Google
Food was overpriced and not freshly made, the rib I had was £24 and although it alright tasting, it was surprisingly small for the price, and I got the impression it had been microwaved rather than cooked on the day. It was missing the parsnip crisps, when I realised that they offered to replace them with onion rings which is hardly a substitute. They didn't mention it when ordering either which I thought was careless. The other mains were fine, but again portion sizes were on the small size. For dessert I noticed that the sundaes were described as for sharing, and to ask a server for single dessert options. We specifically asked for single portion options for the sundaes, but were charged full price regardless. If we had decided to share one of the sundaes it would have been laughably small for 2. All in all pretty rubbish really. Service was good though, friendly staff, but there are much much better options at the Trafford Centre. Will not be returning any time soon.

Over priced tasteless food. TGI Fridays has gone down hill big time. I ordered half ultimate rack of ribs but received what looked like baby back ribs. When asked about it was told that is the ultimate ribs. They were dry and tasted less. Paying over £20 for that. I would go to Aldi and buy their ribs and cook them at home much better taste.

Good atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The manager was very accommodating and organised a vegan burger for my little nephew even though it wasn’t on the child’s menu. Chicken and classic burger was delicious and all the food was hot when it arrived at our table.

Requested a filthy rich with chicken instead of beef (as I did last time) and received a plain chicken burger with no sauce or salad inside. At the end of the meal, we received the bill and found out that they charged for a lousiana hotmess which was more expensive that we ordered initially. After we paid we realised a mistake in the bill and challenged the waitress that we received a plain chicken burger 'why have you charged us £15 for it' and she just said 'I'm sorry there is nothing we can do once you have paid'. Basically the worst experience I've ever had at a TGI restaurant. Not only that we had to ask for forks and knives so we could start eating and it's basic restaurant service that the cutlery is given to us prior to receiving the meal. Absolutely diabolical!! Also we had ordered onion rings and were given salad instead and thankfully we were allowed to take that off the bill. The caesar salad that we received was just simply lettuce and rockets thrown on the plate. We have visited TGI Fridays on several occasions and we won't be visiting again.

If I could leave a zero I would. How is this place still open? Visited with my husband and 2 children. Was seated in the outside area on a dirty table, no menus nothing, just pointed at a table and then the girl walked off. I went inside to speak to someone and was told I had to go wait at the desk. I explained I'd already been seated. I was told there was no space inside even though there was lots of space and we were one of the last tables in so not like they were reserved. We then had to wait while two young girls who had no idea what was wrong with the sticky table, lack of cutlery and rubbish all over the seats and floor. They then were clearly making comments about us. Once seated we ordered drinks and then food. Starters came and they were absolutely fine however then mains arrived. Both my children's dishes were wrong, one was completely missing all sides and the other the sides were wrong. The fries on my husbands plate were cold and my salad was nothing like described on the menu and was topped with over cooked rubber chicken. They eventually replaced the fries and most of the children's sides arrived. The replaced my salad which still wasn't right but the staff were so difficult I couldn't be bothered. They knocked my salad off but in fairness the whole experience was shocking. Whilst there all the other tables around us had gone and remained dirty with rubbish everywhere while the girl that originally seated us brought in a large McDonalds order for staff. Perhaps given the state of the restaurant this could have waited 10 minutes to make the restaurant visibly acceptable. I genuinely do not know how this place survives. I get you don't expect much from a chain but this was appalling in terms of service, cleanliness and food.

Possibly the worst place I've ever been for tea. We booked upstairs due to reviews saying it's more child free up there. How wrong were we. The family across from us were pretty much having a full blown food fight. Food was everywhere. I got hit by a bottle of water twice along with an onion ring. No apologies from them or the staff. Once we had finished our meal it took 25mins to clear our plate or ask if we wanted anything else. We would have liked another round of drinks. I could understand the wait if the restaurant was busy, bit it wasn't even 1/4 full. A urinal was blocked, a sink was blocked and a toilet seat was on the floor in the gents. Disappointed in my visit. Probably won't go again. Food was okay.

Great food as always. Just a little bit rushed as they seemed to want to keep the turnover going

With the covid situation. TGI seem to have your safety under control as well as a fast service, also not to forget the lovely food and drink

So I have been to TGI Fridays a few times over the years and everytime I leave I have always been excited to visit again in the future. Unfortunately when my fiance and I visited on Tuesday the food was not what it use to be. The garlic bread starter was quite floury and dry, the warrior burger was again quite dry and lacked flavour, The mozzarella sticks were too stringy and the steak burger was again quite bland so could have been better seasoned. I would however recommend the sesame chicken starter! For the price we paid it just all seemed a bit bland and underwhelming unfortunately.

We were looking forward to try this branch. Sadly, the vegan burger ( daughter decided to eat here and she's the vegan ) was out of stock so she was not a happy camper. Charlotte our server was amazing!

Busy and not exactly what you would deem value for money . Food is tasty enough and would return for birthday treat etc but would certainly not be a regular as a family of 4 with 2 growing kids with good appetites it can be a little on the expensive side

Ate at lunchtime on a week day. Had a mocktail which just tasted of pineapple. Not worth £4. Husband ordered refillable coke, kept being brought diet coke which he was sending back. Portions were small. A slither of coleslaw in a condiments bowl. The burger and steak sandwich were very nice. Childs meal not brought with vegetables sticks. When paying the bill was wrong. Waiter became irritated when this was pointed out. Glad to leave. Not worth the money. Won't return.

Lots of people, but fast service. Wonderful burgers especially triple and double, good chicken wings, but portions for chicken breasts are small for the price. After all, great place to go on Friday evening

Huge portions! The size of a starter can be a main for a lady.. the lunch deal is a bargain! £15.95 for 2 course meal! Really tasty chicken wings, very crispy but not too dry. The full rack pork ribs is also tender and juicy! Recommend! 👍 The steak is slightly overcooked though, and it's a bit tough.

I meet friends in this nice place from time to time! This is my favorite spot to pass a nice evening. I go to this spot frequently. The food is great, the staff members are polite and the rates are good. I enjoy going in this place for a decent meal.

Thank you so much for finding a quiet booth as our son has autism. We all had a lovely time. Our daughter's 18th birthday so cocktail went down well!

Never seem to have a bad experience here. Consistently good food and service and plesant decor and atmosphere. Menu choices very good even has some vegan and vegetarian options wich I think is very progresive for a mainly steak/meat restraunt. Not been for a year or two but was there september 2020 and served by Mark. Very attentive and helpfull and jolly. Near perfect high end service and food from a large chain eatery. Well done TGI's.

The food way great and waiter was very helpful and nice, however the person greeting us at the door was less than helpful when trying to get a table, he stated he did not have any tables free any time soon but when I went onto the website there was one available straight away... Otherwise a pleasant experience

Arrived with a confirmed booking and had to wait while people who had not booked were seated first. Front of house were not welcoming in the expected fashion of TGI's The waiter was attentive (Mark) and was able to advise on the menu. The menu is online and needs QR reader to access it. If your not good with this forget it as the staff are usless at helping you and just hand you a paper menu. You cannot read the paper menu as the text is so small and the restaurant lighting is like a mine. The starter was good value for money and of ample size. The main courses were ordered and when served were not upto scrathch. The steak sandwich was small and very bland and came with 6 hashbrown chips - thats not a mistype there were only 6. The other main arrived "The Warrior" burger and it looked the part but when tasted it lacked the warrior content. It was dry and lacked taste the cheese slice was just scraped on the burger and if it was not for the peppercorn sauce taken from the steak sandwich being poured over the burgers it would have been inedible for me. The venue does not have a washroom.available on the ground floor other than a babychange room so as a disabled person I had to leave the restaurant and use the trafford centre toilets as I cannot use stairs due to my disability. Having paid over £25 a head for a lunchtime meal I feel hard pressed to recommend TGI Fridays TG there are other establishments to choose from - maybe we were just unlucky but for us its no return to TGI's

Never so disappoint with a chain restaurant , I guess they not even pay 10% time on food , the mild-raw steak is almost all raw and the bacon in burger is seared. It’s not Fridays food you image.
