This place by all means doesn’t resemble a restaurant! On the table they don’t even serve napkins! No one actually cleaned the table before serving the food! Salt and pepper is probably an extinct “species” they don’t put it on the table!! They place reminds me some old fashioned fast food places which stay open all night on major motorways! No comments that they actually prepare the food and they don’t wear any gloves at all! Not the best place to be! You are highly recommended to keep away!

Walked into a rather empty pizza express on Friday evening. A member of staff wanders over to us and says "have you made a booking?" We said no, I mean, who seriously makes a booking at pizza express? To which the member of staff says, "every customer needs to make a booking." We look around at the sea of empty tables, flabbergasted, without any offer of further assistance from the staff to make the requisite booking. We open our phones to look in the website and could see that there were indeed tables showing as available later that evening, but we choose to spend our money at a much more deserving establishment. And guess what? No booking was needed! Funny that.

I love Pizza Express, I've been to their restaurants all over the country. I've found the first one that was absolutely terrible. We were seated at a table in the corner by the window, I say seated but rammed in was more appropriate as there was barely enough room between the tables to get in and out. The we spotted the aged cobwebs on the dirty windows and peeling and drawn on decor. Our orders were taken, but when they arrived my partner and daughter were served but I was informed there was a few minutes delay on mine. Fine, no problem. After 5 minutes my pizza arrived, with a 3 in burn ring around the bottom edge. I sent this abomination, which should never have been served, back. There was a further 10 minute delay to my order by which time my partner and daughter finished there's. At no point were we asked how our meals were, nor were we offered the usual "would you like black pepper or chilli oil" So disappointing that we cancelled a further booking we had there and wouldn't go back. The worst Pizza Express in the UK. Avoid avoid avoid.

Now then, firstly the location of the restaurant overlooking the Lowry, Salford Quays and the Irwell is top. Food was delicious and toppings on my vegan padana were plentiful also. Waitress was friendly and helpful; I swear down that this has been the only Pizza Express which has been consistently decent.

Good pizza express. Staff really helpful even though it was super busy. Busy before a united game or before a show at the Lowry. Good place to go before both though but would advise booking in advance.

Came with a friend, ordered the chilli prawns which did not taste great at all with the dough balls. The dynamite dough balls were also not all that. Ordered a pizza on the waiter’s recommendation it’s came like warm it’s wasn’t all bad, my mate ordered a pasta dish let’s say we would’ve be coming back in a hurry. We was hungry so we ate what we had.

Since we had had a good experience in the other branch of Pizza Express, we had high expectations for this one. However, we were disappointed by the TERIBLE customer service we experienced from the moment we entered until we left the restaurant. Can you believe that you asked for dessert after your main course, and they coldly replied that it might take a long time because there were a lot of customers with big parties?

My calamari was burnt, served charred and visibly not how anyone would expect it to look. Wasn't tasty or pleasant. Pizza wasn't sliced and I had real issue cutting it with a knife. Asked for a pizza cutter as the dough was as tough as old boots. My server was very pleasant but the time taken to serve my meal was slow. The restaurant was extremely quiet except for the constant flow of delivery pizzas going out the door. I've never had such an overpriced, unenjoyable pizza experience before :(

Lovely waitress who let me borrow a fork to eat my takeaway pasta. I returned the fork next day. Again no complaints with the food. Spot on. Great service. Please keep the biscoff cheesecake on the menu dont get rid. As that is the only pudding I eat at pizza express.

After a last minute decision to eat out, me and 6 others decided to take a trip to pizza express. Maria managed to squeeze us in ands was absolutely brilliant all night, accommodating our every needs and making sure we were having a brilliant time. The food was impeccable and I will likely be returning to this pizza place. Thanks to everyone on last night!

As pizza Express is one of my favourite pizza chain I was really disappointed by this branch. The restaurant was just dirty, there were maybe a few tables occupied and twice as many dirty ones with still plates and leftovers on it. Our table was dirty and full of breadcrumbs as well, it looked like someone put clean napkins and cutlery without wiping it. The place looks like a canteen not a restaurant and the food was below average, but at least the staff was really friendly.

Located within walking distance of Old Trafford, so ideal for a pre match Pizza. We were asked if we had booked, but then offered us a seat with at least a 45 minute wait for food…in reality we had our drinks and dough balls, and pizzas in 20 minutes! Decent service too, so would recommend this outlet.

Went on 4th jun at 17.39. Wanted to sit outside where all tables were already occupied. There was space to put a small table for 3. When I asked the manager whether she could move a small table outside she said no, it was a long day . I asked if I could give her a hand. Again "no". I even offered to move it myself, she said no again. The table position wasn't in the way of a fire exit etc. She just didn't want to make the extra effort for the customer. Ashame as I have had good experience of the other staff here. Apparently she's called "cat" . We would have appreciated it if she could be arsed about customer service. After all we even offered to move furniture back for her once finished.

Me and my family went to pizza express yesterday evening before we went to see a show. We experienced outstanding service from the moment we walked into the door, we hadn’t booked and were in quite a rush and they were so accommodating. The food came really quickly and tasted delicious. I have quite specific dietary requirements but they accommodated so well. And special thanks to our wonderful waiter Ethan who was so kind and helpful for the duration of our evening. Thank you Ethan and to the rest of the staff at pizza express.

Visited last week during my stay in Manchester. Had a lovely meal, the facilities were clean and tidy. We were served by an amazing young man I believed called Ethan(?) apologies if I got his name wrong!! He was very welcoming and had very interesting chat, also very knowledgeable of the local area of which helped us later in the day.

Visited after watching a show at the Lowry. It was very busy however we were quickly seated and our orders taken straight away. Food was delicious, and beer nice and cold. Highly recommend.

Pizza Express is one of my favourite pizza places. The pizza was lovely, however despite booking a table for 4pm due to going to the theatre after our food only arrived at 6.15pm after an enquiry as to what had happened to our order! Very busy and the chefs were struggling to meet demand.

Been several times and it doesn't disappoint . The food and the staff are very good. The menu has changed since the last visit but that keeps it fresh. The price is very good. 3 courses worked out around £24.

I had a take away: Gluten Free Margarita. It did NOT taste good and the base was toooo thin! I don't know what flour they used but it tasted like rubber. I regretted ordering from them to be honest and I will never visit again, it was very disappointing. Also a bit too pricey and was just not worth it. Customer service: not the best as I was left waiting on the side while customers who were eating in were prioritized.

Pizza was yum, but the building was freezing cold. Customers eating with coats and hats on. Beware if you pay via the QR code - they automatically add a £6 gratuity on. Quite a lot for serving 2 pizzas. Wine okish but £8 a glass. Very cagey about offers too. 🤔

Just average on this occasion. Some of the food was good, some didn't arrive, some was like warm. And the service was slow. Disappointed and probably won't be returning to this franchise unfortunately. Could be so much better. Wasn't even that busy and we went on a Wednesday evening. Not worth the money on this occasion and it wasn't cheap. £122 for two adults and two children although the kids had adult pizzas but we still hungry for puddings (which were good to be fair)

Good service, friendly staff, nice location. It can't have 5 stars because Saturday night is pizza night and we make the best home made pizzas.

Visited here after other places were booked up. Arrived here and waiting in line for 15 minutes for staff to realise there was a cue. Lots of areas were free. We were put to a table where it was literally connected to three other tables it was that tight. We asked to sit in the area that was open but she said it wasn't available. So the seating area for everyone was just a small rectangle size. We sat down at the table and it wasn't comfortable at all. To compact and too close to other tables and no breathing space, so we left. Not tried the food, maybe try a different pizza express at a later date...Update pending....

The food wasn't as good as other pizza expresses. Top my pizza was very slightly burnt while underneath was slightly undercooked. It was still nice thouguh

There is always a table available here, which makes it sound not very good. But that isn't true! Just as good as any Pizza Express, service is always good and the food is great. Much better than Prezzo round the corner

The food is great, the service is good and staff are friendly. It’s located in the heart of Media City, next to the cinema. There is parking available and it is easily accessed.

Lots of space, nice and light inside with a great view of the quays. I tried the new Hot honey pizza with the super thin crispy base and I wont lie... it was pretty badass. So the base itself could have been crisper, I did struggle to cut it a little but I got there in the end! The topping was to die for however. Slightly hot with the sweetness of the honey, it was epic. I will put it out there though that the chunks of sausage on my pizza.... well... they were thick. Meaty and glorious... and impossible to stop nose diving off my pizza. This is not a pizza for those who aren't afraid to get a little messy! The staff were lovely, polite and chilled. I sat and chatted with my friend after we had finished the meal and werent kicked out. So that was much appreciated! The atmosphere was very relaxed. The pay by app situation was very straight forward also. I'd come back for sure.
