Breathtaking, year round.. and I've lived here my whole life. Great food, drink and coffee options too. Please don't park on the main road through here, that's not what it's for. I don't want to hate you but I will if you do.. Have a lovely visit!

Lymm is a quiet and antique town not far away from the busy Warrington business centre (15 minutes driving time ). You will definitely enjoy the aroma of the bread, the songs of the birds … Remember to meet the librarian of the Lymm Library, she is really friendly and helpful to share with you the story of Lymm.

It's a lovely little village which takes you back in time which was nice. There are strong upper middle class royalist undertones here which I didn't care for. An observation I made was at the local shops, ie the bakery, there were no prices labels on products. It was almost taken for granted that anyone visiting there didn't need to know as money wasn't an obstacle. Class distinction.

Call in the cafes and shops. Nice easy walk around the village. If more energetic then walk from lower to upper Lymm Dam.

A lovely little village, nice for a leisurely stroll and something to eat after a walk around Lymm Dam. You can take a walk up the canal too and it's a great location for photographers being such a picturesque place all round.

Lymm Village have nice Lymm dam and canal across village. All year here is something interesting. Veterans cars shows, boats on the canal, steam engines....duck race. Nice small shops and restaurants. Walk around church and dam down to village all year is good, specially autumn with full of colours...

Just moored up on the Bridgewater canal and had a short wandering around this beautiful village. They had lots of bunting ready for the jubilee so it looked extra special. Quite a few different shops and everything you would need. Well worth a visit.

Nice village with a great bakery but not a huge amount to do. But the walk around the reservoir is beautiful

Pretty little old English village with a homely feel. A good place to get your 10,000 steps in.

Grew up in this village it's great coming back to see the locals and the people are so friendly and the most best place to try is Saxton's bakery. You will not be disappointed

A lovely Cheshire village. I am biased as I live in Lymm, but it's a friendly place with lots of pubs and restaurants. The local beauty spot is Lymm Dam which is great for families.

It was a great day out, the classic car and steam engine show made the day even more special. And there were four classic buses to ferry people from the rugby club carpark to Lymm village centre. Brilliant.

Lovely winter walk in beautiful surroundings. Parking past the the dam on the right. Walk around the dam and then a tea and cake at the deli in the village. Relaxed and friendly.

We like Lymm very much, some good shopping (the very yummy cheese shop come cafe) and good hostelries the one we like the most is the very inviting Brewers Tap, right next to the canal, lovely cask beers especially the darks, they don't do food as such but have wonderful pork pies, but you have to be quick, they disappear like hotcakes.

A beautiful village with lots of great pubs and restaurants however it was spoiled by teenage revellers who jumped on our boat at 12.30am rocking it tremendously waking us up and knocking things over on the boat breaking a glass then they returned at 3.30am and 5am shouting up and down the street and throwing things into the canal

A very quiet and quaint little town, lovely little spot to feed the ducks and see some of the big fish in the little pond. Parking is free for the 1st hour.

Lymm village is a lovely place, very "old world" in style. There are number of excellent eating and drinking establishments. However, nice as it is, our 2nd overnight visit was spoiled by a small group of youths who decided to board our canal boat and rock it to the point that everything fell over in the bathrooms. This happened at midnight and woke us up. Annoyingly, but perhaps a good thing, I was unable to locate the culprits but I did report it to the police who appeared uninterested. With a heightened sensitivity, we were woken three more times by loud voices of small groups passing by on the road. Despite this incident, it would not prevent me visiting again but I might consider mooring in a different location.

Love this village. So many places to explore, walk, eat, drink and relax. Vibrant community with lots of events throughout the year. Can be busy at weekend but very much worth at least one visit. PS. I live here. Ace.
