I recently bought an engagement ring for my girlfriend at Steven Stone in Hale and I couldn't recommend them enough. I was nervous and slightly overwhelmed by the process of selecting a ring but the staff member talked me through the process clearly and gave some really useful advice. They made it painless! I also appreciated their honesty and I didn't feel pressured to spend more than I could afford, indeed the staff member actually encouraged me to spend a bit less to get the right diamond for the setting. The aftercare had also been exceptional with regards to resizing and engraving. The ring is perfect as well.

We haven't received the ring yet but felt compelled to write a review about one of the most amazing experiences at Steven Stone Hale. We thought we had made an online booking but unfortunately their system had made an error once we arrived. It was no issue for the lovely staff there however who managed to fit us in within an hour even though they were fully booked - they then welcomed us back with a glass of champagne each. I would definitely recommend Steven Stone in Hale. An initial consultation with David by my fiancée and myself for an engagement ring was extremely helpful, and comfortable that we were in the right place. Importantly, we felt no obligation to buy and left after that first consultation not having done so. We called back a few days later with that decision. Hannah took us through that process (since only now could we select the specific diamond for the ring). Having been very happy with the engagement ring, yesterday we went back to purchase wedding rings. As with our previous visits the whole experience was very good. Could not have asked for a better experience choosing our engagement ring, the service these guys offered is fantastic, from helping me choose the perfect ring to getting the ring to my doorstep a few days before we were meant to travel to Ireland. From start to finish the general manager at the Steven Stone Hale store, David Eagleton, made the process of designing a bespoke engagement ring very simple and stress free. David talked me through the process and pit falls of choosing not only a ring but the diamonds themselves. I knew I want a platinum diamond trilogy ring but didn’t have a clue what to look for in terms of grading, colour, finish, fluorescent etc etc. There are so many things to think about and traps to avoid but David described what to look for in choosing the correct diamond(s) and ultimately getting value for money. We compared diamonds, both virtually and in the store, discussed setting arrangements, financial budget, what my future fiancé liked; all to get a comprehensive understanding of what I wanted. I am confident that if I hadn’t found Steve Stone Jewellers and David, I would have simply purchased an off the shelf ring and probably paid more than it was truly worth. Having the ring made just for me/my future wife, choosing each individual diamond and being involved right the way through the process I/we have created something truly beautiful and the best that it could possibly be. David has always been available either by telephone or email, discussing different diamonds I had seen, giving his expert opinion, and guiding me through the process and advising where he felt the stone wasn’t worth the additional costs and never pushing or trying to persuade me to spend extra, David has always gone above and beyond to ensure the process ran smoothly; I even have photographs of the ring in the workshop being made – above and beyond. The ring came in an elegant display box with all the diamond certificates and paperwork necessary for insurance purposes, they even shipped the ring special delivery free of charge as I wasn’t available to pick up in person.
