I
have
used
this
branch
to
both
buy
glasses
and
have
glasses
delivered
from
another
branch.
Overall,
the
service
was
okay
....
if
very
much
like
a
production
line
...
and
for
this
reason
I've
added
an
extra
star.
Recently,
l
trod
on
my
Specsavers
glasses
squashing
one
of
the
nose
rests
and
badly
bending
one
of
the
arms.
I
straightened
them
myself,
but
wasn't
happy
that
l
had
done
it
properly.
So,
on
13
June,
made
a
special
trip
into
Altrincham
to
get
my
glasses
checked
...
I
am
a
pensioner,
just
so
we
know
where
we
are.
At
the
entrance
to
the
store,
l
was
met
by
a
young
man
who
asked
if
l
had
an
appointment.
When
I
explained
what
my
problem
was,
I
could
see
that,
as
l
wasn't
buying
anything,
his
sole
aim
was
to
get
rid
of
me.
While
keeping
me
standing
at
the
door,
he
said
that
the
staff
was
very
busy
and
that
l
would
have
to
wait
a
'long
time'.
When
I
asked
how
long,
he
said
20
minutes.
As
I
had
already
made
a
special
journey,
I
said
that
this
was
okay
...
so
he
reluctantly
let
me
in.
Once
inside,
the
young
man
asked
to
see
my
glasses
and
said
that
they
looked
okay
'to
him'.
I
said
that
they
didn't
look
okay
to
me
and
I
would
like
to
get
them
checked.
There
were
3
customers
in
the
shop,
so
l
settled
down
to
wait.
The
assistant
then
collared
one
of
the
staff
and
showed
him
my
glasses
saying
'these
are
okay,
aren't
thing?'
Talk
about
a
leading
question!
The
staff
member,
who
was
dealing
with
someone
else,
looked
at
my
glasses
hurriedly
and
said
he
could
see
that
they
were
bent,
but
that
I'd
done
a
good
job
straightening
them
(translation:
yes
they
are
bent,
but,
as
we
can't
charge
you,
I'm
not
going
to
do
anything).
In
short,
rather
than
waiting
and
receiving
proper
attention,
I
was
bum-rushed
out
of
the
shop
in
less
than
5
minutes.
Thank
you
very
much!
Do
you
think
I'm
going
back
to
you
when
l
need
new
glasses?
No!
Do
you
think
I
will
recommend
you
to
others?
No!
To
end,
I
was
walking
through
Seaford
a
couple
of
weeks
later
and,
as
l
wasn't
happy
with
my
glasses,
took
them
in
to
Specsavers
there.
The
assistant
greeted
me
in
a
friendly
why
and
said
that
she
could
see
my
glasses
were
bent
and
needed
straightening.
She
took
them
away
and
gave
them
back
in
less
than
2
minutes:
I
doubt
if
I
was
in
the
shop
for
more
that
4
minutes.
I
guess
the
moral
of
the
story
is
clear.
Altrincham
Specsavers
you
should
show
more
respect
to
(elderly)
customers,
even
when
you
aren't
selling
them
anything.
