Was driving past the golf course and a golf ball that was hit from the course went through my windscreen. Was fobbed off for several weeks by Jonathan Francis and Paul Murray at Trafford Leisure before finally being referred to insurers who are now ignoring me.

Even for a municipal it was in bad condition. No redeeming features at all. A shame as I learnt to play here and thought a trip down memory lane would be nice. It wasnt. Greens terrible and bunkers had better turf than most of the fairways.

Only a mile away from me , but I had never heard of the George V Pool at the South West end of Altrincham Golf Course. A great walk during the 'lockdown' and a fair bit of wildlife to see

Worst course I've ever played. The condition across all 18 holes was atrocious. This course should not have been open, but as this is a Council municipal course, the demands for revenue quite clearly dictated the decision making to open it. A picture that speaks a thousand words.

Great atmosphere, excellent course to play. Good fairways and beautifully kept greens. Thinking of becoming a monthly member.

This use to be a good course when it was looked after but now its gone right down hill no maintenance to the course at all . only that they cut the grass now and again take your money but it doesn't Go back into the facilities 20 pounds for 18 holes is good value but not on this course somebody from trafford Council are taking the money thats for sure the driving range is only the good thing about it but as for the 18 holes don't bother we will definitely not be playing altrincham again thats for sure

Although this was a municipal course, it seemed to be really lacking in a lot of areas. There was no sound in the bunkers, no rakes, divot in the greens, pitch marks everywhere and the fairways looks like recycled farmland. We saw young couples all over each other in between holes as well as dogs just wandering round on the course (not even sticking to the past). Would probably avoid go elsewhere

If you don't know the course it's difficult to navigate, no signs for next holes and not the easiest to follow. Overall the course wasn't in great shape, but importantly the greens were decent. Fairly wide open so not too challenging for the high handicapper.

Snail pace golf. 3 groups on the tee because members can’t hit the thing. Basically a big playing field with 18 fairways for greens. Garbage. Had to give up after 9, set off at breakfast and my tea was ready.

Despite the wet course from recent deluge it held up well. Even though it being a municipal good course plenty to enjoy .Others would be envious of hard work greens staff put in.

Really nice driving range. Was impressed with the software and tablets that tracked each ball with range angle of flight and height. Really useful for tracking progress. Nice and quiet no kids and perfect on a Saturday morning.

Challenging golf course. Pro shop is small but we equipped. The driving range attached is good quality and comes with Toptracer bays. Range is limited to a little over 200 yards so can't hit driver if you're a longer hitter.

Old Hall is a must when in town. Bit disappointed in staff attitude otherwise worth a vidit

Good course, fairly well maintained, let down by the huge number of people who seem to think its an extension of their back garden.

Viewed from old hall, good seeing golfers out

Have not actually played there but the outer path is nice to walk around. Leads to the adjacent king georges pond.

Altrincham isn't spectacular but it is a proper test of golf. It's almost been designed to help you find trouble. It's cheap to play, especially late in the evenings where you can pay £10 for 9 holes. You might find groups of bored teenagers wandering the fairways and loitering in the bunkers but they usually don't get in the way.

A very forgiving coarse , which is great for the Amateur Golfer 👍👌

The driving range is a good place to get some practice swings in for if you don't have good access to a golf course. The range is well covered so, as with yesterday, the rain doesn't really cause you any problems from adverse weather. People are suitably distanced from each other so they have sorted any concerns with the Covid situation and which no doubt will only get better.

Just ok for me. Nice greens and tee boxes to be fair, I just thought the course had not character, it was too plain and too open. Plus £25 was steep. Won’t be revisiting in a hurry.

Member there. Enjoyable course with plenty of character. Friendly banter. Bunkers leave something to be desired.

Great course. Nice and flat throughout and well looked after. Can get water logged after a heavy downpour and be careful of dog walkers and runners as plenty of footpaths run through the course.
