Booths Hale Barns is a really a gem of a place. The beer selection really is second to none - it really is almost comparable to an independent merchant. The cafe is well worth a visit too. The afternoon tea is particularly good value and there is a light and airy atmosphere. Keep up the great work Booths!!

I love to come here for the cafe which serve a reliably good vegetarian breakfast! 🌱 I also like to shop in the main supermarket too albeit the stock can sometimes be unreliable, it’s a really good shop, and one of my favourites for more obscure items, and none-alcoholic drinks

The most wonderful shopping weekend I think it's possible to have. Beautiful pastries and fresh bread, a deli counter just how they used to be and a fantastic restaurant with great food and even better service. Why can't all supermarkets be like this?

Really enjoyed our visit, this wasn't a planned trip and on arrival the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. The shop was clean, spacious and well stocked. The whole shopping experience was delightful. I would highly recommend to all.

Came into this cafe hungry and decided that I was going to have the posh fish finger butty. The lass in the kitchen was called Megan. This fish finger butty was by far one of the greatest I've ever had. I will definitely be back for more!!

Nice little cafe within Booths itself. Good quality food at a really good price. Eg. English Breakfast, Greek Salad and a Large Pot of Tea for 2 .....£11. Don't tell everyone though as the staff are new and are training, so be kind :-)

Nipped in for breakfast in the cafe. It was busy but got seated no problem. A short wait for our cooked food but it arrived fresh and hot. Quality ingredients well cooked and at a very reasonable price. Will return for sure.

I grew up near here and remember the original little shopping centre being built. Its nice now but the car park is a very busy place so take care and have your wits about you or a Cheshire SUV's might run you over. Why do folk need to drive fast in a car park. Booths is a nice place to shop with unusual foods products not the usual. Prices do reflect the area.

Well, they know that I'm poor as soon as I walk in, and the approach usually recognises this. Then again, the clientele here are quite damnding and I would probably be as hard-faced too.

Small car park but just right by the shops. Very friendly team with a great selection of fresh, baked or prepared food.

Enjoyed my recent visit with my sister. Lovely store with very helpful staff, reasonable prices.

Large selection of top quality food products, slightly pricey but there is value for money to be found.

Can't really fault this excellent and quality stocked supermarket. Plenty of the day to day products most shops along with a great selection of produce that's more niche and independently sourced. It would be difficult to leave empty handed as I feel all pallets are catered for. My only criticism, and hence a 4 star rating, is its pricing, this is not a cheap place to shop, however definitely worth the visit.

Always enjoy browsing Booths. Lots of fresh produce, fruit and vegetables too. Bought a 'pinkie' pork pie to eat 'on the hoof'. Very disappointing. Dry with no jelly. Pork pies should always have jelly in my opinion. Staff always friendly and helpdul

The shop looks nice, but the food is not. Literally all produce I bought, and yes I check my fruit and veg as much as possible, was not fresh to downright ancient. My white potatoes were already sprouting significantly and my baked potatoes went green, never seen anything like it on freshly bought stuff. The expensive black netted sweetclems, are very rarely fresh, more often than not they are shriffled and taste old and chewy. I used to go to Booths for my fruit and veg because I don't trust Aldi and especially Lidl, as the latter rarely has dates on their produce, but I cannot really trust Booths anymore after this yet another ordeal. Fyi; this does not just apply to this store, it happens in the Garstang store just as much, the latter store looks and feels great, bigger than Hale Barns. As to the staff in Hale Barns, they were all gathering and chatting around the potatoes and seemed quite annoyed when I wanted to carry on with my shopping, in hindsight I should have left the store instead because I wasted a lot of money on the potatoes I had to bin straight away

Good quality products with prices that match. Quite like the orange juicing machine. Worth a look if you want something a bit different

I called in the cafe with my brother for a bite to eat on Thursday 11th May. I was served by Vicky at the counter. She was a super friendly young lady, very efficient checking all we had ordered. We entered into a short fun conversation which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whilst collecting the plates and cups later we asked if she did a jug of tap water. She promptly went to the kitchen area to get us two cups which was so sweet of her. She is such a helpful courteous member of the team Thanks Vicky’ Kind regards Jean Burns

Over priced and poorly stocked with a very limited range of products. The place to go if you've more money than sense. The only saving grace is that some (though not much) of the produce was locally sourced.

Lovely supermarket, staff are very helpful. I only visit when I am going to the deli across the road. If I lived near I would frequent the store often.

I have not been here before but it was not one of my favourite stories. We went late afternoon so quite a bit of the fresh food was sold out. I didn't feel that it had that extra special something that I usually feel in a Booths store. I was trying to find items for a Chinese meal for a birthday treat. Struggling to find anything I fancied. I won't be returning to this store but still love some of the others.

Great store, nicer than Waitrose! Love Booths! Always think it's very 'Deli led' focussing on fresh local produce, supporting regional bakers, pie makers, meat suppliers etc Don't fall into the expensive trap....you get what you pay for and their quality always shines through Super staff, knowledgeable and friendly. Always come away with a nice unusual treat.

I try not to give negative reviews, but hopefully they will act on my comments, as this is a nice bright cafe, with friendly staff. Would hate to see it go down any further. Because this time it let itself down. My breakfast was served without Hash Brown's, when I mentioned this I was told they didn't have any. That's fine, it happens, but I would have preferred to have been told on ordering. The teaspoon was cheap and handle all bent, on top of this the spoon was filthy! They really need to up their game.

Quality range of products and that's reflected in the prices. Good layout. You'll see items here that other supermarkets don't stock. Car parking is free.

Nice enough toasted sandwich in the cafe. Alas, they had a reduced service which meant limited menu. This meant they couldn't serve chips, which was mightily weird since they served them 20 feet away on the takeaway counter.

I love shopping here. I can always get what I need. They have a great selection of cheeses and soups that you can't get anywhere else.

This place is the marks and spencers of waitrose it's brilliant. The gin selection is brilliant. There's all sorts of cheeses and it's full of snobs. The best bit is the cafe where Ben runs the show. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I enjoyed mine 😊

Nearest Booths to Oldham. Went to get some nice local produce for a Christmas hamper. We got everything we needed. Nice store with enough parking. No cafe.

Medium sized supermarket a little more expensive than the bigger stores. Delicatessen looks good. I shopped very early but car park looks like it may get full at peak times.

Brilliant. Lovely big spacious cafe with a variety of different tables and chairs. Waiter / waitress service to tables. Very clean, great menue for breakfast and lunch times meals ( breakfast available all day), hot and cold drinks, with prices very reasonable. When in area will deffo go again.
