    PART 1 I have had to break this down into 3 parts because of the size of the text so please scroll further to find other parts. If you like being let down like a slow releasing birthday ballon then come here, if not I would totally avoid. I first looked to purchase my car in late April this year. I saw the car online and set off from Rotherham to Inchcape Altrincham, a some 100 round trip and 4 hours of my time. When I arrived I was created by a salesman who I now know to be called Jordan. Jordan was superb and promised me the world on the car that I wanted to purchase and I felt reassured and happy that I had chosen the right company. However, Jordan’s PROMISES are to be taken with a pinch of salt to say the least. I was let down three times by Jordan and this company no one seems to care?

    Received fantastic service from Mark Hobson and Tony Kelly. They both worked really hard for me, answered all my questions and actually made buying a car from them fun. At no point did I feel pressured to make the purchase, and the whole process was very smooth. I was able to part-ex my existing vehicle for a good competitive price. They turned everything round for me quickly and efficiently and I had my new car in just a matter of days. They even wrapped it up with a big pink ribbon! Thanks guys for the all effort you put in for me, its really appreciated. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Inchcape, my experience has been excellent.

    I bought a used car from this Inchcape VW branch. The salesman who sold us the car was friendly and so was the saleswoman who dealt with us when we came to collect the car. Upon driving the car out of the forecourt, I came to the realisation that the car was given to me with one of the front headlights out. So I brought it back and they did rectify the issue for me on the spot however they also mentioned that they inflated the tires for me as well whilst fixing the bulb as the tire pressures were low. This makes me think that the promised ‘142 point check’ was not conducted at all on the car as these are the first two things that would have been flagged up. Another point I want to make is that I felt as if the manager emotionally blackmailed us into giving a 5 store review whilst we were still in the dealership, as when we responded to a paper review from him with a 4 star rating (which we thought was a positive and fair rating), he said to us that we may as well have given him a one star review, which made us feel obliged to change this to 5-star.

    Used a main dealer to avoid poor service or issues . But got them all from this Volkswagen Main Dealer! Everything the sales team tell you will be a complete lie and just a way of getting a sale. All dints and scratches promised would be dealt with but pictures are on collection day. Cup holder full of a old baby milk spillage and last owner’s private paperwork still in it too. Avoid buying from these guys

    I have been a customer at Inchcape VW Altrincham for over 15 years. I have recently exchanged my Golf for a T Roc which I collected on Friday last week. The customer service especially on this occasion has been excellent from my initial visit to collection. I dealt with Anthony Kelly at the dealership who has been fantastic and extremely helpful throughout the whole process. I never felt under pressure or rushed into making a decision and nothing was too much trouble for him. I hope he's there when it's time to change my car next time! Many thanks, Clare

    Steve was very helpful from start to finish. Answering any questions I had and putting my mind at ease. He talked through all the financials alongside the branch manager to help understand all costs and was transparent throughout. From the moment I enquired about the vehicle the process was very easy and as buying a car was something I was quite intimidated by, I felt at ease and the experience was enjoyable.     Fantastic service! I cannot thank them enough. I had a small and minor issue of my own making that required fixing, without repair would have meant the car would have been limited to 50mph for a 6 hour journey, it was a small fix but would have required booking in and a few days wait for a spot. Unfortunately I did not have this time available as my onward journey was critical and with no alternative, so was in an absolute bind. Inchcape VW Altrincham were utterly fantastic and found time at the end of the day to sort it quickly, with no bother. I am truly thankful for your kindness and great service, I just regret I didnt catch the name of the two individuals that helped me so much....a case of cider has been dispatched by way of thanks to the front desk! 5 stars all the way.

    Really knowledgeable, checked everything I asked them to check. Warned me that next time car tyre tread and break pads might need switching - as legal currently - in 6 months won't be. That sort of information is powerful right now as no one wants surprises. He also approached it in the right way and made us aware of pay later scheme. Really good service & customer service! 100% a returning customer.

    After a rocky start with a member of staff who has now left, Jordan and Mark really turned my experience around. Jordan was friendly, prompt, and couldn’t have been more helpful making sure everything ran smoothly for me when he took over. Jordan even went the extra mile and came in on his day off so that I could collect my new car on the day that was suitable for me. Mark was very friendly and organised he made sure that he kept me up to date and that I was happy with how things were going. It is nice to know that you are more than just a sale to someone and I could even go as far as saying mark has made me feel like a friend, there is no doubt that any car I buy in the future will be from VW Altrincham and hopefully both Mark and Jordan will be there to sort it out for me.     We recently bought a Sharan from this dealership. The whole experience was really positive and Jordan Ellenthorpe was excellent. We have recently had a third child so needed a bigger car. It was easy to book the initial appointment and test drive. Jordan was great at keeping us informed beforehand and then giving us info etc when we arrived, with the baby, to have a look. We wanted to buy the car relatively quickly because of various family commitments and Jordan was really Helpful allowing this to happen. Everything was pretty smooth and made the process enjoyable and easy which is great especially when you’re juggling kids and life! Thanks to the team.

    Probably the worst experience of buying an ‘approved used’ car. Contacted VW Altrincham wanting to buy a car and the next day Adam got back to me with a vehicle. On the surface everything looked great and I went ahead in buying the car, a 2015 automatic polo for 10,039.01, I should mention that the car apparently comes with 2 years warranty, MOT & roadside assistance as standard however you receive no email/paperwork confirming this. Once I picked the car up I had nothing but issues, the car only came with 3 footwell mats, I was told these are not included and it was a bonus that I had 3 to begin with. Lots of stone chips on the bonnet of the car that took a lot of chasing for me to have fixed, it only came with 1 key even though I’d been told it came with 2 as standard, again, I had to chase them up for weeks to get my spare key. Meanwhile, the battery went, they told me it wasn’t included in the warranty however I did not end up paying for a new one as I had only had the car 3 weeks when this happened. Then I received the car back, the engine management light then came on and I was accused of putting diesel into my petrol car, and told I would be charged to have it fixed, I told them this was impossible and they apparently fixed the car as a good will gesture. Only to have the car back in the workshop 2 days later as the same light would not go off on the car. By this point I was feeling unsafe to drive the car as I had been assured it had been through extensive checks and there was nothing at all wrong with the car. I demanded they look harder and all along there was a problem with the timing belt and it needed a new one. After I had been told before I bought the car that it had recently had a new timing belt. I expressed my concerns with this car and requested to give it back, to the manager, Gavin who said was anything else to go wrong on the car he would happily take it back and give me a refund. Since then the car constantly has different warning lights popping up for no apparent reason, I sent an email to Gavin on 5/11/22 outlining the current problems with the car after failed attempts of getting through to him via telephone, however I have received no reply. I have called up multiple times regarding this issue and Louise the receptionist, who is a great help, has told me that Gavin would be in touch. However this was well before Christmas and I am now lost for words for the disregard for customers this company has. I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but I’m completely shocked at how my complaints have been completely ignored by management. I was also asked to leave a 5 star review when I bought the car, glad I waited to review my experience is all I can say.

    The team were outstanding. Gareth (Sales Manager) however was just on a different level, what an asset to your business he is. Nothing was too much trouble, he did everything he said he would which I find rare these days. Kept checking in to make sure everything was going to plan, made sure all my needs were met. I can't believe you have any unhappy customers with Gareth sorting things out behind the scenes. I think he is probably the most effective sales manager I have ever come across.

    It was very easy to book my Golf in for a service, quick online check-in and the car (cleaned too!) was back within 2 hours. The staff were friendly and informative at all stages of the process. They took the hassle out of part-exchanging my old vehicle and the 5-day drive away insurance meant I could drive away without the worry of insurance for a few days.     I Came in on the day I passed my driving test, didn’t really know a lot about buying a car or the process - Jordan greeted me with a smile and was very professional throughout the interaction explaining everything in detail and kept it simple so I could understand everything.     Finally, a good experience buying a second hand car. I live locally, saw the car online, and decided to call in to look at it. Jordan was directed to help me and show me the car even allowing me a test drive. In short Jordan excelled. I felt confident and reassured throughout the whole process.     Really great buying experience from Inchcape Altrincham. I would recommend them all day long! Anthony was fantastic from start to finish. I haven’t bought a new car for various reasons for 15 years so was nervous about change plus sad at saying goodbye to my 19 year old faithful Golf! Anthony went over and above to alleviate any concerns. All the team are extremely friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend them.

    I went to visit this car over a week ago. The auto trader price is £10773 which is why I travelled about 45 mins to see it. Got there, the car stank of smoke and they said it was over £10900 and wouldn't honor the auto trader price. They said maybe it just took a bit of time to update but the auto trader price is still wrong over a week later. They said the car had recently been put on the market so they hadn't had time to sort the smell out. This was a lie as I'd seen it on auto trader at least a week before. They said they could get the smoke smell out if I put my deposit down and that it was a quick 10 min job. I said, well if I don't buy it but come to see it next week, will the smell have been sorted? They said they weren't sure because they were busy (obviously indicating the smell was impossible to get out). If it's was a 10 min job it would have already been sorted, and certainly be sorted within the next week for any potential buyers. £10000 is a lot of cash to depart with. Considering the sales person was full of lies, doesn't exactly make you want to part with that much money.

    Booked in to have the cam belt changed and it all went very smoothly and on time. Additional stuff was needed to be done and I was contacted to agree this was okay to do. While the car took two days, waiting for parts to arrive, it was worth the wait. My car is a diesel and now doesn't sound like an old bus any more. Collection of my car also went smoothly. the clean and polish of my car almost made it feel brand new.

    I came in for a browse and ended up with a Golf GTE! Testament to James' customer service, he offered me test drives of a polo and golf automatic, I spent ages in there but he was very patient, relaxed and made the whole experience enjoyable. Nothing was too much, they were all really attentive, I definitely worked my way through half their coffee menu. The car I picked was transported up and test drove that too and I'm so pleased with it. They offered me a courtesy car for a couple days which I appreciated due to some delays with finance. James then explained everything in my new car before I drove it away. I even got a follow up call to see how I was getting on with it. Thank you!!
