Decent pub, friendly staff and good value food. Live sport tends to be on most days! Thursday steak deal is decent value!

The atmosphere is great, the people are wonderful. It was my first time trying an English traditional fish and chips. As an African I would have preferred a bit more spices and salt with the fish. The dessert was also really good. The staff on duty were very nice.

Nice place to have a pint or 2, took the family out for mothers day yesterday, food was the worst I've ever eaten at a pub, I honestly have had better tasting and presented food in jail. Mum and the Mrs got Sunday dinners, gravy was like water with jelly in it, the turkey and beef so undercooked, the dangerous thing is my Mrs is pregnant so I made sure she didn't eat it, my brother asked for "well done steak" on his mixed grill, it was well done alright, burnt to a crisp only bit of food that was salvaged was the burger my younger brother ate and even still it was dreadful. Like I said, nice place if you're having a beer but I'd rather nip in Iceland across the road and eat a microwave meal than the food on offer here. PS it wasn't even busy so no excuses for the shambles of the food we received

Eliza was lovely and very friendly. A beer here is very reasonable for this side of manchester with a great decor.

Super friendly staff and great food! I had booked a table as I we'd never been before. Was my partners birthday so as a surprise I drove us down to see the Frank Sidebottom statue which is just over the road from the pub. He was delighted hahaha oh and top marks for being a dog friendly pub too!

Large friendly pub situated in the heart of Timperley village. There is a garden patio area with outdoor seating and a covered area. Considerable food menu with vegetarian options and children's meals. Sports shown on two large television in different areas and friendly helpful staff. Worth a visit.

Good pub, hig let down is the poor selection of cask ales. They should have a regular Cask which is on always and then just a couple of guests.

On a day out with Flicarus. Just realised this is my first visit here in 49 years when I lived locally on Brooklands Road. ( I also learned never to gamble in a pub. I was £30 up at poker with incredible luck, about 150 pints in today's money...so they changed to a game where I did not know the rules and won most of it back...with what I soon discovered was by cheating! Still, lesson learnt.) Liked my visit. 3 real ales and CAMRA 10% discount. Lovely Greene King pub. Big beer garden at the rear. Seating in front as well. Flic likes the Christmas decorations in mid November. Ho Ho Ho.

Extremely expensive for alcohol free drinks but it is the only place (so far) that I’ve seen Guinness 0.0 in a pint can so there’s that. Would’ve cost more for an alcohol free Peroni at 330ml which is just out of touch if you ask me when they’re essentially soft drinks… also you’re deprived of privacy when it comes to the male toilets… what the heck!

The best local there is, come in here with my boyfriend and his mates and always have a pleasant experience. Food is always on point and we order the same every week. The staff are friendly and welcoming. shout out to Ashleigh and Kev who make our visits always 5* and enjoy a laugh and a chat with them.

I highly recommend The Stonemasons. The food was amazing and I have to mention Laura the hostess who went above and beyond in making sure me and my friends had a fantastic night. Great food, great staff.

Nice place, waited over an hour for food that was nice and hot, yet too much butter in mash and on veg (very greasy) and pie was dissapointingly bland inside.

Good pub, you can still use service on the apps on phones but it's almost back to normal service now 👍All in all a decent pub to grab a pint. We had some food and it was reasonable for the options and the pub food menu.

Great pub my brother in law had his 60th there and they were really accommodating saved us a large section of the pub so we could all be together food was good and hot and even made cakes for us also had a dj so we could dance the night away. Kids were also allowed until 8. Only issue no parking right out side but all in all great pub and great staff. Would recommend.

Stumbled into a 40th birthday party with a DJ belting out 80s 'classics'. Until then Pat Benatar had been a name I was happy to forget. In summary, a tattoo spotters paradise but a nice pint of Guinness

The pub hosted my 30th birthday party last minute after my other venue let me down on the day (The Bar in the Village). They couldn't have been more accommodating, made a semi-private area for me within minutes of me asking for any space they could accommodate us in, let me bring my cake, dog & pre-ordered pizzas from Pix in. Offered plates, cutlery, anything we needed and even brought a bowl of water for our dog. Bearing in mind this is a Saturday afternoon on game day. But nothing was too much trouble. My birthday could have been totally ruined, but actually it was made even better by the way we were welcomed into the pub by their incredibly lovely team. I'm so happy that this is my local! Thank you so much again!

Love this pub, and I have eaten here quite a few times. Always been lovely food, but if their Sunday Dinner doesn't improve, they need to stop doing them. Had a roast on Sunday and the only things that were "OK" was the gravy, and the yorkshire pudding. The meat was thick, but thick lines of fat running it through it. All the veg and roast potatoes were definitely out of a packet, and cooked from frozen. Really dissapointed.

Love this place, the staff are always so welcoming. The food is decent. NHS discount on food, not including any offers though bear in mind. Karaoke was great fun 😄 Updating 13 Sept 2022, another fabulous meal at the stonemasons, they must know good staff when they see them and they must be good employers to keep them too. All the crew that looked after us today were amazing, we were celebrating my mums 65th birthday and she had a fabulous time, she's vowed to return for the senior special 😉 Along with Eliza looking after us there was Michael, Ash, William all front of house serving and making us all feel welcome, making my mum feel extra special too every time they came over. And the food, the nachos and award winning pies in particular, exceptionally good value and very tasty. All thanks to Ange and Aaron in the back working hard to get all our orders out together, even though we all ordered and paid separately. I don't need to tell you we will all definitely be returning ... Update March 2023, Still love going here, recently tried dome of the small plates and they were lovely. Again, all the staff lovely and very friendly. Always love a bite to eat and few drinks in here, it's my go to after a stressful week as its only a short walk away and always a good time.
