We came down from Derbyshire to visit pur friends who had booked a table here. What a fantastic little place. Very friendly h professional staff. Rebeka was our waitress and she was so helpful and a real delight. She gave us advice on the cocktails and was just such a pleasant young lady. The bar and the toilets were decorated to a high standard. The drinks were out of this world and very reasonably priced. We're already planning our next visit here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was let down last minute for a booking as they were “double booked” and didn’t receive so much as an apology. Rude staff members also after being so friendly for the duration of the booking. Not a great place

this place is an absolute joke, we requested to book it out for my friends birthday, which they where completely happy to do. being a place we visited often, we confirmed it every time we went in and they said they would send over an email which they never did! when the day of the booking came round, we went round to drop off some stuff to set it up and was then told we couldn’t drop it off just yet, which wasn’t an issue, but we asked if we could just leave the cake and they said that was ok, this being 3 hours before it started. We then left to go get the cake to bring back and when we arrived back is where it all went wrong. When we came back the manager came over and told us that they had doubled booked us and we couldn’t have our friends birthday there! This was 2 hours before everyone was due to arrive and completely ruined a night out we where looking forward to for ages. they need to be more prepared and get some organisation!! absolute disgrace!

After booking my birthday here, I was let down with 3 hours before people were meant to arrive. My best friend had been arranging it and she herself had been in 3 times and I had been in twice to confirm the booking and make sure all was okay. She went in the weekend before to confirm as we still had received no email or phone call but was told we are all booked in. 3 hours before she went to decorate and was told she would have to come back at 6 but could leave the cake. When she returned with the cake the manager was there and she was told we weren’t not booked in. The manager was not accommodating at all and after having this booked in for 3 months had no consideration for what we were supposed to do. Not only this but the staff members didn’t explain there was a double booking when she went to do the decorations it was only when we went back with the cake she was told. After being in a few times myself I am extremely disappointed to have been let down so last minute. I will not be returning after there was no sincere apology for what had gone on. I do not recommend booking here for birthdays etc.

Best cocktails we've had in a while, particularly the amaretto sour and espresso martini made by our mixologist Steve, a real professional and really accommodating. Couldn't recommend more, he even treated me to an aged Rye Bourbon old fashioned that surpassed my expectations of the drink and will linger with me till our next visit. Thanks you Steve for a great experience

Good place and amazing staffs. I really enjoyed the place though my first time but it was really wonderful within matured people no noise with good music. It's really amazing. I give them five stars.

Came in on a whim and found our new favourite bar! Steven's passion for cocktails makes this such a fun experience. The bartenders ask you about your drink preferences - I described mine and was served a *delicious* tequila gimlet that was one of the tastiest cocktails I have ever had. I love finding businesses that are clearly trying to go above and beyond to do something special :). We will be back! Becky and Val

Myself and my partner hired the entire bar for our joint 30th Birthday/ Engagement party and WHAT A NIGHT! The team were fantastic from start to finish and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening. Liaising with the team to plan the event was super easy and they always got back to us in good time offering us a personalised cocktail menu, DJ for the night and supervision at the door entrance. We were able to get into the bar and get set up and decorated around 2 hours before the party started whilst the staff offered their help. The bar staff were SO quick at serving all 90 of our guests non stop cocktails, beers and spirits (you were even given a fancy metallic straw for your drink vs those paper ones that fall apart instantly!), we didn’t hear one complaint about time waiting to be served/ drinks being made. We had karaoke running throughout the entire night which the DJ handled just fabulously with a handy little raised stage at the front for all Broadway/West End standard performances 😉. The venue was a perfect cosy size for us all with plenty of room for everyone to stand, sit and dance! I could not recommend Dutch Courage anymore to anyone thinking about hiring the venue for a private event or just popping in for a cocktail or two. Nothing was ever too much, the staff were all brilliant, helpful and friendly, the drinks were delicious and served perfectly each time, the decor inside is very modern and trendy. The perfect place for such a special event. Thank you to the whole DC team - you single handedly enabled us to experience a night that we will remember for the rest of our lives!

I had my baby shower at Dutch courage on Sunday 11th June 2023 & wow!! The service was second to none, the room was spotless ready for our set up, and Josh, Max & Rachel helped us with anything we needed with having balloons, table decorations & food. Throughout my baby shower the staff were so helpful & thorough with anything anyone had to ask! The room was kept spotless throughout the function, including collecting glasses and any plates used from our buffet. The team made my day so special, and I am so happy we we’re able to have our day here! Everybody had such a Fabulous experience at Dutch courage & I couldn’t recommend this place enough for a casual drink, a night out or even a function! Thank you so much!!

Decent selection of beers. Good cocktail options. Bad selection of wine. If it wasn't for the drink selection or would get 1 star. They insist on table service but then forget... our friends joined us and didn't get a drink for almost 30 minutes, so just left

Decent enough cocktails and a nice place for a quiet drink. I personally don't like the service charge as the drinks are not exactly cheap. If I managed the bar I would get rid of it as it may put people off returning.

What a gem of a bar in Sale! The staff were so friendly and we loved the Halloween get ups, great fun. Amazing cocktails and great tunes (thanks Bob!) . A really nice atmosphere.... What more could you ask for. Sale is lucky to have you 😊

Love this bar, it's exactly what Sale needs. It's also become my go to place since the hospitality industry opened back in April. Aiden is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient - everything you need from a host. The cocktails are varied and delicious and the atmosphere is a little bit of magic. Go there. Go there now. You won't regret it.

Best ever place for some proper drinks. If you love cocktails like me, well, you are going to fall in love with this place for sure!! Nice warm place with a touch of an old school bar. My Sunday out for sure even if it takes me an hour to get there.

Fantastic service - chatty, helpful and generous when the barrel ran out before we'd got our 2 pints. Great beers, nice atmosphere. Would recommend!!
