Really beautiful and peaceful place for great walks and just relaxing on the beach. First time I've been here, but will definitely return.

Lovely dog friendly beach. It's absolutely huge when the tide is out, so much sand! Fascinating to see just how far in the sea comes as well. Went on a weekend mid July and it wasn't very busy. There's a little cafe, a children's play area and some toilets. Car park is small but free.

Lovely area for relaxing and walking. You can park looking out to sea , only about 10 foot above beach.Tide comes in very quickly so beware. On longish but flat walk there is lovely secluded beach, access down a narrow, twisty, sandy slope. Not suitable for anyone that might have severe mobility issues, but there is a bench to sit on and look down on beach, enjoying views. When tide out, the boat in picture one , is out of the water and care needed when walking as very wet and sinking sand in places. I believe the tide comes in and out within an hour, so you could get caught out if not careful.

Beautiful beaches you can take your dog on as long as on a lead. It's part sand part pebble beach.

We visited on a rather gloomy day and the tide happened to be out as well, so perhaps we didn't get to see Haverigg at it's best, but the beach itself starts out as shingly and stretches out to a wide expanse of sandy beach. Unfortunately we found the parts of the beach a bit too boggy for our footwear so chose not to go on to the more sandy parts. There is a car park which appears to be free but I'm not sure how busy it gets during peak times as it's not very big. There are toilets too and a little cafe opposite the car park but we tried neither so I cannot comment on either of those. Haverigg itself looks like a fairly okish seaside place, with a better mobile signal than some other places in the Western Lake District. It's nice for a gentle afternoon stroll if you're at a loss for something to do.

Lovely small beach that's somehow still unspoilt by too many people or too much tat. Absolutely lovely place.

Nice little sandy beach area, although the tide goes out a long way and doesn't always come up high on its return. Playground for children and cafe. Free parking

No sea it had gone well out. This area because of past glaciation has limited beaches. Beautiful views but from a swimming , beach point of view not the best. St Bees I do know to be beach where you can swim and see the sea. So if wanting family day out etc best to avoid this.

Haverigg itself isn't the most picturesque place (although some of the residents have made a real effort to make their properties look cheerful and colourful), and the beach was covered in green/blue algae. The whole area had an atmosphere of neglect, and there was an abandoned boat with graffiti on that didn't help, coupled with the fact that it was a gloomy day. We found a small carpark with a cafe and toilets nearby (can't comment on these as we didn't use them), as well as a play park for small kids. I'd imagine it looks a whole lot better on a sunny day and when the algae is gone, but we're not in a hurry to return.

Stunning beautiful little beach, a nice place to just sit and enjoy the view. The beach has lots of different walks in different directions. Lots to see and keep you busy.

Beautiful beach for viewing the coastline and wildlife. The tide goes out a long way but comes in very quickly. Advise you stick to the shore line and paths as there is a lot of mud from the river. Fee parking nearby and a lovely cafΓ©. Decent kids playground near the car park and toilets nearby too. Well worth a visit

Great for a blast of fresh air. Pebble/stone beach. Be cautious as the tide comes right up to the sea bank/wall.

Sun was shining and a great walk along the coast line. You can see for miles. Some caravan parks but all look clean and tidy sites. Lovely little cafe with homemade cake. Free parking

Whether the tide was in, or out, the sea didn't reach us. We had to wade our way through muddy sand to get to some sort of water. πŸ˜‚ There was an abandoned little ship we got to climb and it was very fun. There seemed to be some inside access, too. πŸ‘€ There is an ice cream van on the coast, too, with some vegan flavours that were banging!! Definitely recommend this beach just to play around and have a nice day out :)

For a stretch of beach with a difference this is the place to go. A mix of sand, stones and dune like areas walking across the wide stretch when the tide is out is not just the same ole beach walking. Great for dog walkers but just remember to pick up poos 😁 There is also a lovely small cafe run entirely by locals so check timings as the can change but great for supplying a good cuppa and slab of cake πŸ˜‹

Lovely clean beach with a free car park, decent play area and well priced cafe. We went at low tide so sea was a long way out but kids enjoyed the sand. Hardly anyone around.

πŸ‘ Free RSPB site. Very limited parking spaces, about 10, on rough ground at side of access road. No facilities such as toilets. Birdwatching hide a long walk from car parking area. The birdwatching is very good, lots of scrub for small birds and a lagoon with islands that are used by terns and others...
