I stopped here for a coffee whilst on a bike ride with a friend last week. Firstly I was very impressed with the Sheffield standard bicycle parking located next to the main entrance and the CCTV covering the bicycle stand! The provisions made by this small business to accommodate cyclists is refreshing to see. Moving on to other important matters though... the coffee. The guys at the hive use two brothers coffee which is roasted in Cheshire. The latte consisted of a perfectly pulled espresso shot and well textured milk. It was a little hotter than I usually have it, but it just meant I got to enjoy the courtyard seating for a bit longer! I did stay in to drink the coffee but it was served in a paper cup still. The guys did mention about looking in to buying ceramic cups in the next few months though, which would be better for the environment. I never knew the shop existed and I was very surprised to see such a big space. The shop was filled with lots of stock and looks like a great place to shop for gifts. Admittedly I didn’t spend too much time in the shop on this visit, but I will be back with the family over the next week or so to stock up on eco friendly hardwares and beeswax candles. The hive is a hidden gem and I will be a regular at the coffee trailer from now on.

I came across The Hive through a local small business in Altrincham and at the time in December when I needed a top quality Christmas tree! I rang and Steven was so helpful on the phone, making sure I got a tree size fitting my home. Home delivery was a bonus as I don't drive. The tree was of superb quality (just like home in Sweden) and lasted in perfect condition throughout the festive period. The warmth and service is outstanding. I am very lucky to live here in Altrincham with such wonderful independent business The Hive by @vh_interiors down the road. Thank you both so much! Nina x

Hidden gem between Navigation Road and Altrincham tram stops. Great hot drinks - I love the chai latte - and amazing hospitality. Always feel welcome and the sweet treats are highly recommend. Came with a double pram and even got a Baby Chino on the house for my toddler. There is outdoor seating a water bowl for dogs and a beautifully curated store. No wonder they won 2 awards recently 🥳 if you haven't been, give the Honey Nut Crunch a try, delicious 😋

I love The Hive - it’s quirky and just perfect if you are looking for something that little bit different/special. Steven & Gareth are so warm and welcoming and have done a fantastic Job - the best cafe in Altrincham! Have a coffee/cake and then meander around the shop, you won’t be disappointed - it’s a wonderful little gem!

I found this beat haven quiet unexpectedly but I was extremely pleased with it... lovely quirky shop sticking the most useful and practical well made home essentials!!! Every shopper is treated to warm fire heat from the shop floor and I could resist a special coffee served from the catering van right on the premises... very cute funky place to shop or drop ! I gave bought a few unique items from this shop and have been really happy with everything. Great bird feeders and garden features. Love ,love the coffee and the milkshakes are to die for. Very friendly and well worth a visit.

Our first visit to the Hive. We had a lovely welcome from Steven and Gareth. Enjoyed browsing in the shop, bought a few items and a couple of Rusty Mushrooms (!), then sat outside for coffee/hot chocolate and a tray bake. We will definitely be back.

Mint little General Store, they've got all sorts of gems tucked away in this place. Particularly love all the eco products and of course I had to leave with these 2 pots. Didn't have time to stop for a coffee but will do next time!!

We had a lovely time visiting the hive! All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. There were so many good cakes and drinks to choose from on the menu, what we chose (latte, not-hot chocolate and Portuguese tarts) were all delicious. On top of this, the place itself is very nicely done, with a very thought out seating area and a lovely shop at the back.The shop would be perfect for buying gifts and cute bits for the house. We will definitely be returning soon :)

Yet another fab visit to this gem of Altrincham. Such a friendly welcome time and time again. This time I found copper cookware by Ruffoni, something I've been wanting for years and will now add even more Love to my dishes!

A true hidden gem of a place. Well worth seeking out for some interesting homewares, gardening items and advice. Very quirky with decent coffee and cakes. A first time visit for my wife and me but definitely a place we will visit many times.

Gaz and Ste are a delight! They have the most wonderful vintage interiors shop, and if you’re wanting a pit stop to fuel you for your day, they do THEE most delicious ice latte (this has also been verified by people from other countries), they do hot coffees, hot chocolate and also nice frappe ice berry drinks too! They’re so welcoming and friendly, and really put everything they’ve got into growing this gem of a place. Would most definitely recommend a visit to the Hive if you’re in Altrincham! Or even if you’re not!

I absolutely love this place. Gareth and Steven are super friendly. Recently we stopped by when it was closed and Gareth still served us coffee and cake! The service is second to none! I've filled my kitchen shelf with lots of their fabulous homewares. Weekly visit for fresh flowers too. I cannot fault. If you haven't visited this hidden gem already, I would highly recommend you do so. Looking forward to the new deli/coffee shop opening soon.

Both Steven and Gaz clearly have a massive passion for what they do and this comes across in the products they sell, the great aesthetic they have created and the flawless customer service they always provide. The business has helped to create a bigger sense of community in the area and getting a coffee or browsing the shop has become an essential part of many local’s day. Excellent little getaway in Altrincham, little treasure of a find. Great drinks from coffee, chai tea to milkshakes. Fantastic little cakes and pastries as well. Also a shop that sells unique items from local businesses and artist. Staff are amazing too. Can't rate higher enough 🥰.

A hidden treasure - I stopped by for a hot drink. Not being a coffee fan, I asked for hot chocolate. Steve, one of the proprietors, was barista whilst his partner was busy dressing the seating area for Christmas. Steve talked me through different options, explaining that real chocolate was used. I decided to try a white chocolate topped with cream - absolutely delicious and smooth. Definitely the best I've had. I had a wander around the shop whilst waiting for my drink to be prepared. The stock was interesting and 'artisan', great gift items for all occasions. Definitely worth a visit if you want a drink, lunch or looking for something a little different as a gift. Worth a mention, they have a 'library' with books available for swap, borrow or maybe read whilst enjoying your visit.

Steven and Gareth not only provide the warmest of welcomes; they have an absolutely beautiful space stocked with stylish unique vintage and sustainable pieces. Every time I visit I want to buy everything! And it doesn’t stop at shopping, Steven and Gareth make the tastiest frappes, milkshakes and coffees all served in their cafe area attached to the shop. An absolute gem of a place run by the loveliest people!

Purchased a couple of lovely items from The Hive online General Store, excellent quality very, very pleased. Packaging was fantastic and I regularly check in to look for anything else I may be tempted by. Sadly, I live too far away to be able to have a browse....but never say never !! 😁

Lovely store and cafe spot only a short stroll away from the city centre. Really nice to see tastefully curated and carefully selected wares whilst being greeted and served by lovely staff (assuming owners!) Brought a lovely hand made, berry bowl today! I look forward to seeing more items!

What can I say…. we LOVE the hive! We love the drinks and treats from for beverage bar, we love buying gifts in the shop and most of all we love Gareth and Steven! They always give us such a warm welcome and we love the fact that all the items in the shop are so thoughtfully chosen ….. it really is a hidden gem! I highly recommend the pink tea if you like something different or a fruit Frappuccino on a hot day 😁

My house has become the equivalent of Rachel and Phoebes apartment looking like a miniature version of Pottery Barn, except mine is filled with all the unique treasures you can find at The Hive. They really do source the most fantastic pieces and the store itself is such a wonderful inspiring space. The guys are really lovely, genuine people as well and really bring a community energy. I always have a brilliant experience when I shop here and look forward to my next visit.

A great little shop and good coffee. We visit weekly having recently moved to the area, Steven and Gareth have been very welcoming. Especially to our dog. Dogs will be spoilt and fussed over!
