We had a fabulous afternoon making macarons with Marie & Emma! They were great hosts and showed us how to make the fool-proof French delights! We were given a demonstration of the steps and they imparted some great tips on how to get it right. Then we had the chance to make them ourselves! We were also shown the recipes to make the fillings and also samples some of the flavours from theirs pre-made macarons. They taught the workshop from this lovely cake shop (the name escapes me!) but their business is in central Manchester. We had such a great time and now feel confident in making our own ones! Thank you for such a lovely day!!

After spending a large part of the lock down trying unsuccessfully to perfect the art of macrons I went to one of Emma’s macaron classes. The 3 ½ hour course took us through the various stages of preparation, highlighting the important points to note, and pitfalls to avoid. Then it was our chance to try and amazingly we all succeeded under the watchful guidance of Emma. You also get the chance to fill, decorate and then sample the macarons. Great fun and very educational plus you get to take home boxes of macarons. Highly recommended.

I can't thank Marie and Emma enough. They made the most beautiful macaroon tower and cake for my wedding day. The colours were all so vibrant which is exactly what I wanted and the taste of each flavour was incredible! Everyone raved about them, especially the white chocolate ones!

We ordered macarons for my niece's birthday, and they were phenomenal! Best macarons I've had in Manchester by far. Highly recommend the lemon flavor especially, the perfect balance of tart and sweet.

What a fabulous session making Macarons. We came to celebrate a friends impending 40th. We left with not only lovely Macarons but having had 4 hrs of fun and learning of new skills. Would recommend for so many celebrations or just to learn. Great atmosphere and knowledge shared in such a way that even the most experienced cook would learn something new. Thank you !

What a lovely business this is! I had a French guest coming to stay and wanted a 'Welcome to Manchester' gift. The ladies made me a gift box of macarons decorated with the Manchester Bee. They were presented beautifully and with such lovely detail on the bees. My guest really loved them. The communication here was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. So pleased with the macaron stack that was made for my daughters birthday. We got to chose 5 flavours. All of which were delicious. So helpful from start to finish. We changed our ideas and nothing was too much trouble. We ended up with the perfect birthday 'cake' for a girl who doesn't like cake. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

My Husband purchased a Macaron Masterclass for us to do together, as I’ve always wanted to master the French macaron after all of my previous attempts have failed. Emma was a perfect host and teacher. She was so lovely and patient and really clearly explained everything. She supervised us making our own batch and we got to decorate some pre-made shells. The atmosphere for the whole day was so relaxed and friendly. There are copious amounts of tea/coffee if you want them, and the facilities are very clean. We had a fabulous time, it was more than worth the drive from Yorkshire! I would recommend this class to anyone who wanted to learn a foolproof method for macaron making! Thank you so much, Emma!

I bought the macaron masterclass so that I could learn more about making macarons. Marie was amazing, she's a natural people person and was lovely to have as a teacher. She was incredibly knowledgeable, and answered everyone's questions. The course was fab, we had so much fun and ate way too many macarons, with lots to take home aswell which my husband was pleased about! This course would be the perfect present for anyone who loves eating macarons and wants to learn how to make them!

Best ‘regular’ macarons north of Lyon that I’ve tried. Vegan macarons are the best, most consistent I’ve come across anywhere. Their other offerings are spectacularly put together, I’ve had a celebration cake that tasted better than it looked-which was amazing as it was a triumph on the eyes-which most places that do cakes like that fall down on. Customer service from Marie and Emma encapsulates a small business mentality perfectly. I’m smitten.

Took part in a private macaron masterclass today and it was FABULOUS! Along with 2 friends, I learnt how to make the shells, how to fill and decorate and brought away loads of macarons. Emma was fantastic at explaining the process and sharing hints and tips. There's a good mix of demonstration and hands on/practical work. A lovely space to work in, with all equipment, ingredients etc provided plus recipes and information to take away. A really lovely experience which comes highly recommended. Thank you!

I ordered a vegan macaron tower for my wedding and I was overwhelmed with how amazing they were. I had vegan and non-vegan guests and they went down so well with everyone. The non-vegans were amazed! The order arrived exactly when it was supposed to and everything was beautifully packaged. My only complaint is that I only got three for myself! Thank you so much English Rose Bakery!

We used The English Rose Bakery to make our wedding Cake/Macaron tower and it was absolutely perfect. The colours were sensational and matched our decor and colour scheme perfectly. Our guests comments about the tower have been amazing, saying it was so original and they have never seen a ‘cake’ like it, such a good idea and absolutely delicious 😋 every single macaron was eaten before the end of the evening, sadly I was late getting to them and I only had 1!!!! 🙈😄 The cake was also gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Emma and Marie were a pleasure to work with very accommodating and helpful. They made decisions so easy to make and completely stress free. I will definitely use them again!!!! (Flowers were added to the cake by our chosen wedding decor company Oh So Boho.)

THANK YOU Emma for teaching us how to decorate a drip cake yesterday. I’ve waited quite a while to get on this course and was definitely not disappointed. The group was small enabling the very, very talented Emma to give individual tuition when needed. The relaxed atmosphere with friendly, like minded people giving each other encouragement was a lovely way to spend a Sunday. The results pretty amazing for a first attempt thanks to Emma and much praise given back home. Excellent day THANK YOU!

I was fortunate to be given the macaron masterclass as a birthday gift. Emma who led the class was extremely friendly and helpful throughout making sure we were all able to pick up on her helpful tips and advice. I'm not an expert Baker by any means but now have a lot more confidence to take forward making macarons in the future and was able to take several boxes home which were appreciated by my family. It was also in a small class covid safe setting. We were not rushed and had opportunity to ask plenty of questions. I would really recommend this to other bakers and its a really unique gift. Wow just Wow. What an amazing cake, the team went above and beyond to create a beautiful cake for our sons 1st birthday. It not only looked amazing but tasted incredible too. The macarons are insanely delicious and we loved the real foliage used to decorate. Highly recommend if you want a show stopping piece for someone special 😍

The macaron masterclass ran by Marie was fantastic! It was a really fun afternoon and we learnt how to make different coloured macaroons with lots of different fillings. We got to take home lots of yummy macarons with us! I would definitely recommend this class.
