👍👍 Genuinely blown away - food and service absolutely brilliant. Samir and family offered help with menu choices. The fresh pitta was soft and pillowy - Hummus and the Kunafa is a must. Currently BYOB while the license application is going through - go and support this local family run business. First time eating from Samir's. I've been wanting to try the food for a while so I decided to order food to takeaway (collection) The food was REALLY good. Ive travelled through various countries in the middle east and had some amazing food but the hummus I ate from Samir's was incredible. The main course (Quzi Rice) was honestly one of the best things I've eaten in ages!! The staff were super nice and I'd 100% recommend everyone to go and try and the food.

I had my birthday meal here with family last week. The food was delicious, fabulous, and great value for money. The portions are very generous.Samir is so attentive and friendly, I’ve never known a restaurant owner to care so much about his customers. I highly recommend you visit at some point.

I seem to be the odd one out here not seeing the fuss- NB people there were lovely, very attentive etc. but the food was honestly lacking. Starters- Hummus was lovely, chicken wings had to send back to heat up which was horrible to ask for but they were half warm half cold- when reheated considering barbecue wings flavour just didn't punch through. Mains wife had chicken kebab/ rice I had lamb kebab/ rice both with pitta. Pitta was a sort of mini pizza which was a nice idea but came out a bit cold (similar to the chicken) - rice was fine, but portion for the lamb and the chicken was really poor for 12-13 pound each. 5 small cubes each. Sauce was on the side, heavy garlic a bit too much for me but that's personal preference. We got a side of chips instead of having it instead of the rice with the meal and glad - really cheap fries. The main guy there was on it, welcomed us at the door- made sure we didn't go to the table that was terrible and popped over to see how we were, waiter was polite and careful but the food quality was missing, tbf Istanbul grill casts a big shadow, we both thought our £40 would have been much better spent there. Wont return as just not great - real shame as we were hoping for a top place and they seemed nice.

Came last night and had a nice evening. It's a family run place and the hosts make you feel really welcome. The owner's son served us and gave recommendations. It's has a very homely vibe. The food itself was very tasty. Special mention to the fried Kibbeh. You can either BYOB and pay for corkage or they have beer and wine available for purchase.

Giving five stars for what I found after eating this evening with my family and what I realised that the food was cooked in an excellent way as if it was prepared at home, when I actually discovered that later on. the food was prepared by the lady with help of the whole family. Kind regards to Samir (Abu Waseem) for their kind hospitality . I am glad to visit the restaurant later, I will recommend that to anyone I know.

Tried for the 1st time early Friday evening. Gorgeous food which was fresh and tasty and at a fair price too. There was only my wife and I in until 7ish so the service was excellent. The owner was attentive without being over the top. His son (I think) was very good as front of house. The lady in the kitchen (I think was his wife) did a really nice Arabic coffee and explained what the added ingredient was that I couldn't quite place. Our only regret.....not trying it sooner. We also liked the idea of bring your own drinks, helps keep the cost down. Wishing them continued success.

Fabulous food, we were a party of four, we all ordered different food, it was all equally delicious. Wonderful, attentive service from a family business. Was great that we could bring our own wine. Would highly recommend

This place is a mess with some happy mistakes. My wife and I came in December and thought the food was ok but the waiting time was ridiculous. Staff seemed stressed but pleasant. We visited a few days ago with friends who had booked to mark a birthday. We weren't pleased to have to go back, but we did. The food was hit and miss. The starters were OK but we waited 45 minutes for them. 3 of us got ours but the last 2 came 10 minuts after everyone else's. I liked the hummus but was given someone's aubergine dish at first, which was also nice. They looked very similar but the garnish was different, supposedly so staff don't serve the wrong dish. The tabouleh was far too citric, and I like it really tart usually. The Pittas were nice but nothing like they were when we had them in December. Really nowhere as nice or as sweet. The mains came but again, we waited 45 to 50 minutes. 2 of us ordered the sharing platter, which looked anemic. We figured out the wings were missing. They came very quickly after we pointed this out to staff, but we then noticed the table next to ours were complaining about missing wings when their food arrived shortly afterwards, and they waited ages for theirs. My rice dish tasted amazing. I really liked it but then I read the menus again and saw it was supposed to have mince in it, and it didn't. My wife's kebab had chips instead of rice, we waited ages for the rice to arrive and she finished her food by then. One of our party ordered okra but it was way too salty, she couldn't eat it. I could give more details about the food but there's no point. When they get something right, it's out of this world, you just don't know what they'll get right. Everything else is normal to dismal. The long waiting time seems standard there. Its not good enough. The £1.00 beer corkage was an insult considering you can't even get a glass without waiting 15 minutes and mine had a chip in it so I didn't use it. £3.00 corkage for wine was excessive. The toilets were an insult and there were kids running up and down the stairs, in and out of the toilet and kitchen an 9pm.

Really enjoyed tonight, food was fantastic. Even without kids menu there were plenty of things the kids liked. Hoping to come back every time we visit Manchester! Definitely worth it... Family run and cooked fresh

Really warm welcome on a freezing evening and great food - all the stuff you’d expect like tasty hummus and kebabs but also some things I’d never tried before - the quzi rice in pastry was a game changer. Kibbeh and garlic sauce were the best ones I’ve tasted. Unfortunately Urmston is quite out of the way for me but I’d love to come back to try the vegan stews sometime - lots of range in a short, home-cooked menu. Portions are generous, and it’s BYOB with very reasonable corkage if you’re drinking.

Had a take out with the Family. Food is excellent. Very authentic Syrian food, huge tastes. Only criticism is the portion size is small.

First visit of what I hope will be many. Food very, very tasty, some bits like you'd expect, other bits come at you out of left field and it's the surprise that delights. Portion size is good (don't overdo the starters!) Service was first class, atmosphere very relaxed. They offer wine but as of today 15/07/23 no beer, take your own but be aware they charge £1 per bottle corkage per beer but still loads cheaper than restaurant prices and you get a beer you like!! Really worth a visit, we booked again whilst we we there!

The food was great. This was our first visit and would definitely go again. The family’s young son took our order and served the food. He was very polite and lovely to chat to. Thank you

Taste sensation! A warm welcome and amazing home cooked food. I don’t understand why this restaurant isn’t fully booked all the time. Thank you to you and family. أحب طبخك.

This is a great place to take the family. Everything is prepared to perfection and the kids love it as much as we do. The half chicken is marinated beautifully and the houmus and the aubergine dips are some of the best I have tasted. Samir is a lovely guy and his Son is very attentive and knowledgeable at front of house. Please give this place a try, you wont regret it

Best restaurant in Urmston right now. Great owners, great service, AMAZING food. I’ve now tried a lot of the dishes on the menu and not a single one disappoints. Please check this place out. We’ll definitely be back!

Food is great , service staff are very nice , but the atmosphere is not great , it was cold , old furniture, not great lighting. The food is expensive, with small portions. Not great experience

Wonderful family run restaurant, great food, fantastic value and Samir's son is just the best front of house you could hope for.

Went tonight for Middle Eastern food. We were looked after by Olli who was great, so nice, helpful and she made it more of a Special eve. My son had his favourite halloumi and hummus and the falafel was amazing. We had a lovely main. My son had kunafah with Ice-cream delicious. Thanks for a great time !!

Well, this is a tricky one to review. First of all, the food was delicious. If it were just about that, this would be at least a 4* review. However, I cannot quite forgive the dangerously slippery floor, inattentive service and the smell of cigarette smoke wafting in from the kitchen. Just no.
