The
Bears
Paw,
originally
a
17th
century
farmhouse
with
a
not
so
common
name
and
who’s
origin
comes
in
many
forms,
a
type
of
Snow-Shoe,
the
shell
of
an
East
Indian
Clam,
a
soup
(which
is
outlawed
in
many
countries)
or
a
type
of
popular
pastry,
with
the
latter
being
more
apt
for
this
lovely
British
Inn
pub
cum
restaurant.
Though
this
is
my
first
visit
my
foodie
partner
for
the
evening
is
well
acquainted
with
both
Knutsford
and
The
Bear
Paw,
which
is
surprising
to
some
as
she
lives
on
the
south
coast.
We
could
have
opted
for
the
lovely
setting
of
the
courtyard,
but
as
evening
approached
the
cooler
breeze
was
building
a
tad
too
much.
So
inside
and
the
lovely
ambiance
awaited
us
as
did
the
staff.
I
have
to
say
we
were
greeted
with
lovely
warm
smiles
and
assistance,
now
whether
this
was
due
to
the
recognition
of
my
partner
I
wasn’t
too
sure,
until
a
another
customer
came
in
shortly
after
and
was
given
the
same
treatment.
That’s
nice
and
what
a
lovely
way
to
start
the
evening.

We
both
agreed
that
both
the
service
and
the
food
could
be
not
faulted,
and
I
would
certainly
enjoy
giving
this
place
another
visit.
