The best view on terminal 1 if you can get the right table.

Great menu and plenty in it for vegans 🙌🏻 Highly recommend. Staff were friendly and the service was really quick. Great location in T1, good drinks too. T1 isn’t great for vegan options but this place has catered nicely for this.

Nothing plain about this place! ✈️ The time just flew by while sipping on a pint! Which was lucky because our flight was delayed, unlike the punctual service. I almost skipped my hols to stay here as it's a great venue to spread my wings. Pretty much a local now. 🍻 Thanks Joe & Joel

Higher standard than the typical airport restaurant. Good selection of food (you can see the menu in the pictures) and friendly personnel. When it comes to price, normal for an airport... yo can also see it in the menu pictures. Good variety of drinks and coctails and also several draught beers

Lots of places to sit, we enjoyed a fair few drinks here along side some chips. Good selection and bar staff incredibly helpful! Definitely the best bar in terminal 1! 😁

Loads of empty tables but not a single one that has been cleared since previous customers. Also, £4.50 for horrible chips to accompany a burger is really taking the Micky... avoid!

Manu provided excellent service - fast, helpful, and with a lovely meal. The drink options were great too. Perfect for passing time in Terminal 1.

Esmee made us THE BEST COFEEE’S ever! I literally had to order another two.

Food quality not the best, also no service at tables, pay and they will serve you, even half way though the meal if you anything extra you pay first

Sack the chef. If he doesn't know the difference between medium rare and well done then he shouldn't be in the kitchen. I don’t really mean that but I was tired and annoyed due to traveling. See picture attached to see my medium rare steak. Sorry the review was solely about the steak but when you are at an airport you are usually pushed for time and want a decent meal when the restaurant is doubling the price of the food anyway

One of the few places that offers coffee in proper crockery cups and the capuccino was lovely. Calamari fresh and they even had tabasco sauce. Atmosphere chilled. Stay as long as you want. Big window to watch the planes.

Got a nice hot chocolate. Staffs are very friendly especially Vishnu and Jobin at Cafe Balzar consistently deliver exceptional service. Their attentiveness, friendly approach, and dedication to customer satisfaction greatly enhance the dining experience. Their efforts make Cafe Balzar a welcoming and enjoyable place to visit. Highly recommended for their excellent service.

Was a great experience after our flight was delayed for 2 hours. Thanks to Faye who was great with the service and kept us happy for the stay which made it feel less longer than it was

Best spot in T1 for café stop off before lift off especially from Gates 1-15. Great coffee and pastries, lovely staff, comfy seats and best runway views.

I’ve been twice to Cafe Balzar. Fast and stress free orders at the bar and very nice atmosphere offered by the staff. Manu today offered a very good service beyond airport standards.

while waiting for our flight that was delayed we sat in the restaurant and we never felt rushed or pressured to move, the staff was very pleasant food and drink great and reasonably priced

Moody bar staff. The place was quiet but there were lots of tables with dirty plates etc left on there. Best off going to the other large bar at the other side of the terminal

What a great bunch of people and we were amazed at the quality of the food. Definitely worth a visit if you need a good quality good priced pre flight meal. BUT ALSO I left my cardigan there and not only did they keep it for me but met me in arrivals when I got back so it wouldn't get lost. Organised by the amazingly helpful Faye. Top customer service above and beyond. THANK YOU

Was served today at the bar by Aaron, he was chatty as he made our drinks and was really fast and efficient, thanks to him our stressful early airport trip was calmer! We will be happy to use cafe balzar again. Atmosphere is as expected for an airport restaurant.

Joe was friendly and we had really quick service. It is refreshing not to have table only service at the airport and be able to go to the bar for drinks. We will definitely use this bar in future 😊

12 noon on a Friday. Attempted to grab a drink with my girlfriend before our flight...only to be told by an unfriendly and disinterested staff member (while the cafe was half full of people) that they were closed. I cannot comprehend how or why an airport Cafe bar would close at noon on a Friday.

I had the granola. It was actually really nice, well presented and fresh. Staff helpful. Americano passable. A brighter moment in another grim grind through Manchester Airport, who just seem to make it harder than it needs to be.

I was traveling with my family and we stopped here for lunch. Before our food arrive, our flight started boarding and we had to rush. The manager was great. I don't remember her name, but she asked the chef to hurry our food and also put everything on boxes so we could take it on board. She even included some forks, knifes and napkins. We made it in time and, despite of all the rush, the food was delicious! We didn't plan for it, but we ended up having the best tasting (and smelling) food on that plane! Great staff, great food, I'd go back there in the future again.

These places are about doing the basics right at least. It's gonna be pricey it's gonna be straight forward and so it was. Bit the breakfast a little small on the size was good for that time of the day.

Can normally find a table even when busy. Food and drink not badly priced for an airport and pretty good!

Lovely staff…. No, really! But a café that doesn’t have coffee is a new experience. Nice and quiet spot in the lounge area to unwind.

This has to be the worst Full Monty Breakfast on British Shores. £10.25 for 2 slices of raw fatty bacon, a sausage that could be brought back to life by a good vet, mushrooms bizarrely cooked with onions and scrambled eggs mixed with red pepper's. Just awful. Please just cook it normally and stop trying to pretend to be something you can't carry off.

G&T served in a glass with massive and obvious lipstick smudge on it (pointed this out and received no apology or comment), no lemon available (is a slice of lemon too much to ask for at a bar?), was asked my choice of gin but was given something else. Service with a scowl... just really dire. How hard can it be to serve an okay G&T? Used to be an okay place to relax pre departure, but it's worth avoiding now. Prices high enough too.

lovely food though i did expect chips to come with my burger but i didn’t mind that there weren’t any as the burger on its own was quite filling service was really quick and staff are lovely people

Breakfast was great but it was very busy in the morning at around 5am as to be expected. 2x breakfast a coffee and a orange came to £30 so typical airport prices.

Friendly and helpful staff, a little more relaxed and quiet than the other restaurants due to its location, and has excellent views out over the airport.

Arrived a little early so decided to relax for my birthday, the staff Joe & Ellie were amazing, friendly efficient and professional, will definitely visit again when at terminal 1.

Nice atmospheric place to have a pint before setting off for our weekend away. Nice music and nicer pints. San Miguel went down a treat to kick off what is sure to be a class weekend. I was served by Fay who was really friendly and chatty, excellent service!

The bar is absolutely lovely with a perfect view, staff are efficient and helpful. would definitely recommend coming if you’ve got the opportunity. Joe and Ellie are very friendly, with a lovely atmosphere to add to it :)

Wonderful service, excellent salad (please try the salad)!!! And nice spacious sitting with view of outside. Great place to grab breakfast before all-day travel.
