A great place to spend quality time with my children well away from screens! Nerd has a huge variety of board games and staff were on hand to help us choose and get to grips with the rules. The food is healthy and tasty with a good range of options. We will definitely be back!

I attended the board gaming event at Nerd yesterday and had a fab time. Great company, great food and lovely atmosphere. It was so lovely to meet new people and to get out of my comfort zone for a while, without feeling self-conscious. I highly recommend Nerd to anyone who has even a passing interest in giving board gaming a go. You'll be met by genuinely passionate people, friendliness and a lot of memorable fun. Had a great time at Nerd Cafe’s inaugural Ultimate Game Night! We went as a group of two families - 4 in each with children ranging from 13 to 17. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and knocked up a last minute alternative meal with a smile. Our host, Luc, was brilliant at introducing us to a range of different games and it was a great way to find out what we liked and what we weren’t sure about. We will definitely go again!

I went to the games night on 30/12/22. Our 2 game hosts were great company. We had an excellent teacher host of games. The games were well chosen and great fun. The good was very nice. The atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended

What an absolute gem of a place! Beautiful, fresh healthy food, amazing cakes, great coffee and over 200 board games! We went with our 12 year old and spent ages playing games whilst eating lunch and drinking coffee. The owners were fab and showed us how to play some of the games - introduced us to new games too! Brilliant! Will definitely be back and would 100% recommend for families and grown ups alike!

This a fantastic place - great food and drinks (we had lovely coffees, hot chocolate, cakes and pastries) and a brilliant selection of excellent quality games to play. The cafe is modern with lots of plants and exposed brickwork. The lunch menu looked very inviting - we will definitely be returning when we are next in the area.

Really enjoyed my time there with my 5 year old. Loads of age appropriate games and a lovely kids menu. Servers were attentive and kind. Got some good ideas for games which I wouldn’t have otherwise found!!

The most beautiful portobello mushroom salad and I was able to add a couple of extras too! Wonderful customer service and a very relaxing sofa to sit and watch the world go by with a latte too. Will be making it a regular again now it’s getting towards summer and I adore a good salad bowl with lots of nutritional value. Thank you 🙏

Came in on a Sunday and the service was exceptional! I had an iced Chai Latte and it was one of the best i have ever had. The staff were extremely friendly and i wish i could have tipped them more. Am definitely going to be visiting again very soon. Keep up the good work! 💓

I recently went into nerd for a different work environment and the atmosphere was perfect. The staff were friendly and kindly recommended the salmon sushi bowl. Definitely my new first choice for cafés in the area!

Absolutely love this cafe! Has the most amazing atmosphere whether ur visiting by yourself or with friends. The acai bowls are to die for and the coffee is on par too!! The staff are delightful and i loved their recommendations. Definitely my new favourite brunch spot.

Hidden gem tucked away by the station in Altrincham. Staff were so lovely and very helpful. They recommended the nutella cookies and cream hot chocolate which was delicious and I also enjoyed a pesto parmesan bowl. Didn’t try the board games on this visit but I will definitely be back with friends. Would definitely recommend 👍

Brought the kids in to entertain them for a bit with the games. Kids had some smoothies which they loved, and I had an excellent coffee and too much cake! Was very busy but staff were really friendly and managed to keep on top of the many orders flying at them. Most importantly, my kids were engrossed in their gaming, and not talking into my ears incessantly, or arguing, so I got an hour's peace! Excellent little place with a nice vibe.

Great coffee but even better cakes. María is incredibly friendly and welcoming and her carrot cake is amazing! Highly recommend her bakes.

First time visiting Cafe Nerd and it certainly won't be our last. We actually spent the day working here (highly recommended co working space in Alty centre) service was fab and the salad bowls were delicious and a great sized portion.

The best latte I have ever had (and I’ve had a few!). Lovely friendly venue that have superb warm welcoming staff, great games and are really working with the local community. Park in Tesco’s and go and unwind in a really special place.

A friend and I went to Nerd for the Friday board game mixer. Jamie was very welcoming as soon as my friend and I entered the café,. I had some concerns as to how easy it would be to join other attendees to play some games. I needn’t have worried. Luke was on hand to act as a facilitator putting together a group of us and taking us through the rules of the games so we could continue playing by ourselves. His suggestions as to which games to play given our numbers and time available were spot on. We had a great time and I will definitely go back. Next time I will forgo eating my tea at home and eat at Nerd.

Fabulous place to meet downstairs for a group work chat. Emma, the owner, was lovely and made us all really welcome. The coffee was excellent and the cakes delicious - what more could you want! Would highly recommend it and we'll definitely be back!

Delicious salad/buddah bowls 😍 I had the salmon sushi bowl and it was so nutritious, delicious and filling, service was great too. I will definitely visit again!

Really enjoyed a coffee, dairy free babycino and some board games with my 6 year old. Lovely management who not only made a great mocha but helped us set up a more elaborate game and was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Good spot in Altrincham to have a chill out from the shopping. Took my partner here and played some jenga - we are both students so it was free which was good. We ordered a chai latte and a coffee - both were nice! Would come again!
