Went to have the chatty choor and it was great. The flavours were authentic and even though the quantity looks less. There was good quantity of rice and curries and they even serve more if need. Will highly recommend this place

I do not give low rating to most of the places. But this place is just over hyped. The food is good for nothing. The waiters are non malayalam and non English understanding folks. Not sure how to communicate with them. The atmosphere is okay. But still I can’t give them more than 1 star. I choose this restaurant after seeing so many YouTube videos and Insta reels. But in reality this place sucks.

The ambience is too good with live music and lights. The place is a bit crowded and the seats are a little closer to another table. I felt kind of tightly packed. We have tried Beef Mandi and Octopus Tawa fry. Beef mandi was good enough for 5 people and very tasty. The meat was properly cooked and didn't feel any hardness. Octopus however didn't meet the expectations. It tastes like squid and was small in size. But it was properly cooked and tasty . I would definitely visit again to try another items from the menu

The best dining experience in Eranakulam with live band music, great food and service, lots of seating and parking facilities and above all absolute value for money! In fact with all the above facilities and exquisite location near by the river , the prices could be even higher and still people would be ready to pay for it! Loved it!

Had been here to have Mandi Biriyani and tasted good. It was very crowd during my visit and the staffs were very polite. Nice ambience located just near to river and they got seats near river to enjoy the beauty of river. They do not have proper parking facility to cover all their guests. The location is nice with the view of river, but mosquitoes trouble a bit in the riverside seats at dinner. The place is very crowded during weekends , and it is better to go early , but it is worth the wait. The parking is very good with additional space in the near by auditorium. On Nov 15th 2020, My family had the food Tapioca chicken mix from Alsaj. After having this, we have got food poison. I ordered the food via Zomato and we made them aware about this. But they didn't do anything. I am requesting all of the foodies to not have this food from Alsaj as it brought the problem to us. Paneer butter masala and shawarma we had was fine. My parents also had this, had no any health issue. They didn't have this Tapioca chicken mix as we had and got the food poison.

Specialized in Arabian dishes. They have varieties in them. Amble car parking space for cars and bikes. The location is nearby Aluva river, you can sit by riverside and have food. Its always busy. Overall a festive ambience. Sometimes you can see people fishing from the steps of the restaurant.

Everything was just awesome. One thing to note is that parking is jam packed so you better come early or have a late lunch around 2 to 2:30PM. Better to call in advance and have a booking done or for done in you will have to wait 20 minutes for a table to be available. They will call out your name. Service is good. Nice attitude of staffs. Baby seat they just have 2 and there are many people there so don't expect to have one free. But they will make it available and give it to you once it is free. Will definitely be visiting again to try other things in their menu.

Ordered a medium platter. The quantity was more than sufficient for 5 people who are not very foody. Their staff helped us to choose this option. The has a variety of food options including octopus as an appetizer.

Yesterday (07/11/2020) i had visit this place..I had come here with my friends to have kuzhi manthi but kuzhi manthi have finished..So we order for alfam manthi...The chicken taste sweety..Seems like they are adding sweet chilly sauce in alfam and it is not cooked properly...The rice is not at all good..It taste like geera rice and rice is little bit overcooked...We didn't even order the rice for the 2nd time...I think they have finished their kuzhi mandi rice and re-prepared the rice (which they had given to us) in an alternative way..That's why it taste different and we can't eat it properly..I won't recommend this place to anyone because of this incident happen to me yesterday..One alfam mandi cost around 180rs..

We had a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant & the live music were very welcoming. Although we got seated immediately, we had to wait almost 15 minutes to place our order as the restaurant was jam-packed. We ordered chicken Alfaham Mandhi, grilled fish, appam, & chicken fry. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the food. The food taste was good, service was a bit slow, but the staff was very accomodating & courteous.

The selling point of the restaurant is its riverside location with the tables on the far side just a few metres from the water and with a great view as well. We had the chattichoru with seafood and there was nothing great about it; not sure if the hype about the place is worth it, but based on this single visit, it didn't feel it is. Soup - okay Chatti choru - a must try from Al Saj. It had rice, fish curry, fish fry, meen peera, kakka erachi, koonthal roast, chicken fry, beef roast, pappadam, pickle. Rice is unlimited. An average eater may not be able to complete the whole thing. Beef ribs is served with mandi rice, again the rice is unlimited. The spices used in the beef ribs was unique and I loved this one ❤️ Chicken biryani - mildly flavored, not spicy at all. Fried rice - average. Honey glazed chicken was yummy. Finally washed all this down with lime soda and black tea. Portion size above average. Only thing I found lacking is that the food was not served hot. Staff very friendly and do guide you on their specialties. Mohammed Waskuruni who was waiting on us was doing a great job 👍 Happened to meet Shiyas ikka, a very humble person who is the man behind the show, but you can find him doing all kinds of job in the restaurant...WOW 👏 Great work Team Al Saj Kitchen 👍 They are open from lunch time and the place gets really crowded. There is ample parking space. There is also a small open play area for kids on the banks.

It wasn’t much crowded however we could get a river view table. We order hope famous fish chatti choru which was best. Every element in the chatti was nice, opportunity to taste a variety of seafood. We ordered octopus 🐙, which to our surprise was great. We have fasted at many places but never had such tender meat cooked aptly with great spices and dips. Ambience was good.But.... Below average food. Won't recommend to others. We had Kuzhimanthi, Porotta, Beef roast & Beef ulliyum mulakumittathu. Nothing special about manthi. It was very normal. Porotta was very cold, not a crispy one. Never buy beef ulliyum mulakum, very pathetic, very spicy with lots of dry chilli. Hardly we can find beef in it.
