OK, it's the 2nd day HEB has been open. I decided to get BBQ and ordered 20 mins before on the True Texas BBQ app. When I got there I waited in confusion while the chaulk board let me know there was at least a 15-18 min wait. I went to the window after 4 mins and the employee politely apologized (waited 24 minutes at this point) which I understood since again, it's their 2nd day open. Having gotten my order, I am glad to report that the brisket is amazingly tender and juicy as I expect, even better than some well established TX BBQ restaurants in Houston. Smoke ring was present and taste was great. Only thing here is that I was not given any house BBQ sauce in the bag which I only realized when I got home...other than that I appreciate HEB for bringing this to Manvel and hopefully they may get approvals to create a sit down restaurant at some point.

The food was very tasty especially the brisket and the turkey both very moist. The burnt ends were tasty as well but I only got two small pieces and I wasn’t a fan of the beans but my husband enjoyed them. My only con was that the ribs were not ready as they took my order then after 15 minutes I was informed they would not be ready til later. This could be a great investment to the community but we definitely want a decent portion and hope all is ready prior to opening. Again I feel this is going ton be something great for the community.

My daughter is shopping at HEB, asked her to pick up a sliced brisket sandwich, haven't received it yet but I would like to make mention of the true BBQ app. I was trying to order on the app so my daughter wouldn't have to stand in line after shopping but I have an Android phone and you can only download their app if you have an Iphone.Why? You are limiting your company from orders and money. People are user friendly and don't want to stand in line, esp when it's long and you have to wait at least 15 min for your order.There are just as many Android users in this city, why not make it available to the Google play store..i have never seen this before. Will do a food review after I eat..well just been informed that you guys were out of sliced brisket, had to get chopped beef sandwich instead, hmmm, was looking forward to the fatty brisket, guess I'll try again soon.So I tasted the chopped beef leftovers bc they ran out of sliced beef, received a baby bun sandwich with one big onion and meat just thrown on the bun, pic posted. Had I been there, I would've given this sloppy sandwich right back to them. Doesn't taste good at all, will not return ..

I ordered food at the kiosk and when I got home I discovered that I didn't get what I ordered and was overcharged .I don't live locally and to make matters worse the phone number that's listed on the website doesn't work. I called several times and it just rings a few times and nothing, silence. No one answers. I even called inside the store and asked an associate if they had a number to contact them and they said no. HEB or whomever owns this establishment needs to do better.

As a BBQ lover I have to say that my experience with this one has been amazing! Great flavor, service on time and very kind personnel made my meal just perfect!

Was eager to try this place. Very happy with quality of the food. Two things I didn’t agree with, they only accept card payment and you have to order at kiosk. Would really love it if this was an option, and there was an actual person taking orders. Ok that’s my take.

To-go version of true Texas bbq. Love it!

Order has been wrong on 2 different occasions. Have them a chance and then gave them another shot and they still messed up. After waiting over 45 minutes after ordering on the app and asking 4 times at the window if my order was ready , they finally told me "it had already been picked up", which wasn't by me lol. After waiting for it to be remade , they gave me 2 hunks of meat for the half lb brisket instead of thin slices as they have done on the quarter lb orders.
