Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception is a minor basilica in Batangas City. It was made an independent parish in 1614 under the advocation of the Immaculate Conception. The paintings were restored by Rex Papasin, a Batangueño artist. One of the oldest church in the Province. There is a huge parking space for parishioners.

I always find time to visit local churches when i travel. Minor Basilica was one of the old and stunning structures with magnificent architectural design inside out. Thanks God for this beautiful house of worship.

A beautiful historic church, and I was grateful to hear it was repaired after some environmental damages in 2017. A very peaceful and quiet place.

Very historic place with a great past. This place is the mother church of our Vicariate in Batangas City. The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception is the center of Catholic faith in Batangas City, the province’s capital. It is not difficult at all to reach this place as anyone in Batangas knows where it is and how to get there.

All churches are beautiful especially if it holds part of our cultural and heritage. The recent earthquake created some major damaged at it's dome. Hopefully it will be restored to it's original form.

The place is still under construction. Be wary of limited parking as well.

The church has been here since 1574. But the current building wasn't built until 1847. (I need to check the year). The recent renovations aren't great. In fact, it was disappointing. Wrong materials, wrong techniques, bad paintings to name a few. The most horrible one is the wrong paint material (acrylic over adobe rather than lime based) for the external walls. The second horrible aspect of the renovation is using cement to fill holes in adobe walls. The third is bad or added paintings. If bad renovations are punishable crime, those who are involved should be persecuted especially if they receive payments for this.

I feel so much blessed while attending anticipated mass. The inside and out is so overwhelming. It's heavenly and will surely take you back in time.

One of the oldest church in batangas province. Located in the heart of batangas city, it is a must place to visit, this remarkable church is founded since birth of the batangas city. This landmark is filled with priceless frescoes, antique chandeliers, and rich history of batangeñeos that make us proud!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🇻🇦🇻🇦🇻🇦

👍👍 Mabini Park is well maintained and spacious. It could be greener, but provide enough shade to be a suitable place to chill as one explores the old downtown of Batangas City. From there you can view the giant Monte Maria. Entrance is ₱100 and you can rent a cottage for ₱300. Went there early morning on a Frid...

👍👍 If you're going on a motorcycle, make sure everything is in tip top shape. Personally, I wouldn't recommend you go up if you're on a scooter or something with brake drums. Your trip down will be a nightmare
