came here to stock up on food for our villa shortly after arriving in albufeira. you can tell you’re in a more upmarket place than an everyday supermarket and prices reflect that but so does the quality of the food. the fresh produce is gorgeous!

Supermarket had an amazing variety especially in fresh fruit and alcohol. As well as good prices. However there was only one checkout where you could get medication. This made it really slow and inconvenient to get simple over the counter medication like antihistamines.

This is probably the nicest supermarket I have seen in Algarve. They have a wide range of produce and items. Found some items here that I couldn't find it other nearby shops. The fresh fish and meat section is extensive along with the wine selection. Price is not so high if I compare with Lidl. Plus they have a large parking space for cats.

So many gluten free products! It was amazing, actually. 7 types of gluten free beer! Lots of other top shelf items. Amazing selection of cheeses. All other grocery stores should look to this one as the model. We're eating well tonight.

I could spend all day and my monthly salary here. This is the best quality supermarket in the area. Similar to a nice Waitrose in the UK. The fish, meat, cheese and deli counter is great and I highly recommend getting your fresh foods from there.

A really nice upscale grocery store serving a variety of domestic and international products. Their bakery and butcher are top quality but be warned the prices are not the lowest.

The best grocery store in the area! Their fresh coconuts are amazing! Good variety of food, fruit and veg section is heavenly. The wine tasting is a nice touch too.

Recently open Apolonia is a upmarket grocery. Overall I think they have done very well. Shelves were well stocked with a nice assortment. Deli was top notch and the bread selection was good. Staff was very helpful which is a big plus. Can’t comment on the prices as I’m not a local.

Just what you’d want from a supermarket when you’re away on holiday. Stocked with goods that are a suitable treat for a vacation. Extensive wine choices, fresh bakery goods (the egg tarts were amazing!) all your usual household necessities and much more.

Only place in Albufeira where I found artichokes and fennel! Supermarket with good quality products. Wide choice of cheeses and cold cuts. The prices decidedly high compared to the average of other supermarkets. This provided they have many good import products and try to maintain a high standard of quality

Very nice and tidy shop with extensive selection of different products BUT be aware of the prices!! Ridiculous!! Caffe near by is a real bargain with great espresso and freshly made orange juice.

12/17/23. The best supermarket I've been 2. immaculate, everything in order. They carry wall converters to $500 whiskey. There alcohol selection is extensive. Apolonia even carry cigars, Frozen foods, Indian spices, fruits, cereal and milk. My best supermarket Ever! Enjoy!

Lovely shopping experience. Can get all essentials and more. Deffo on the pricy side of things. Our UK version of M&S. Fresh foods everywhere you look. Recommended for sure

Great grocery store for the foreign traveller as they will have all the condiments that you may recognize from home including white milk! Hot table for quick take home lunches or dinners and great tasting bread made on site.

Apolonia is really a SUPER market, let's say Delhaize with a plus. Most of the time not cheap, but always excellent quality. That said, never had such a good fresh salmon at an unbelievable low price. Great choice of wine. A few years ago, they even had Chateau Petrus, far above my budget. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous supermarket. Clean and well organised with a ton of fresh foods as well as regular products. There’s a bakery butchers and fish monger plus a fromagerie. The fruit selection was great and the quality blew me away

Great for shopping, well organised and brilliant product range with lots of friendly staff. Recommend the bakery and butchers for the lovely fresh produce. It's not the cheapest supermarket but bargains and quality can be found.

Very clean ride and generally well stocked with a wide choice of items and an extensive deli/hot meals section. The only downside was the higher prices than other local supermarkets.

One of a kind store for Portugal. They have anything you could be missing from home and the deli/bakery/hot food section is bursting with delicious and high quality options for any occasion.

Pharmacist was super helpful on our visit here. The shop itself is quite expensive but it's clean and very neat, has everything you need and a lovely little coffee shop next door.

Expensive but great. The choice of products is really amazing, great wines, great cheeses, great sardines, many bio products. And the cashiers speak English. The perfect supermarket when you are on a holiday (but not on a budget)

Sorry but I'm old school , that said , if your good lady has energy left after a pleasant day of sunshine , she can purchase all necessary ingredients for a knock out meal or takeaway at this 5 star location. Love you 😚

Smallish store with higher end foodstuffs, suited to US & UK shoppers. If you do not mind spending 20% or more than Pingo Doce, for similar products, then it's fine. I did find a bottle of green Tabasco which I love, especially on pork chili Verde. So I bought two bottles! Then I had to deal with a snippy cashier. Otherwise would have been 4 stars.

A great supermarket, clean with well presented produce. They have a good selection of groceries, lovely fresh fruit amd veg. It is in the heart of the tourist area and prices reflect this.

Great supermarket with a superb selection of products. Bread cheese and charcuterie counters are particularly good. There is a sushi counter with a few ready made trays (larger options have to be ordered ahead), always fresh. There are many international brands rarely, if at all, seen in other supermarkets. Also, prices match quality and one easily end up spending more than planned. Service is friendly and helpful. Conveniently parking just outside. Acessible.

I must say that one of the things I enjoy the most when I visit the Algarve is doing groceries, and it’s all because of Apolónia. Galé store is for sure my favorite one! First of all, all staff is super friendly and helpful, specially in the café. Food there is amazing, breakfast or lunch there is a must for me when I go. The variety of products they have is just outstanding compared to other supermarkets and their bakery is just amazing. Tip: try the olives bread, figs and nuts bread or their bolinhas and nata pasteis. You won’t regret it!
