My favourite restaurant in the area. It's cosy, the owners make you feel at home, like you were in an Alentejo house. This is the best place to taste great and traditional Alentejo food. It's a small place so you must book it first.

There are 2 things that are exceptional about this restaurant. 1) Regional cuisine executed with perfection: I am no expert on Alentejo cuisine, yet I can appreciate any food when it is cooked right . Gazpacho with figs and pears was very smart, fresh, and matched with fried sardine very well. Pork feet with coriander was ridiculously good. 2) Service and hospitality culture: This is something I enjoyed and appreciated throughout all my trip, since I found hospitality in Lisbon very genuine and personal. However, the hospitality in Lugar ao Sul manages to stand out even in Lisbon. We felt like we were at an old friend's house. Overall it was probably the best meal of 2022 for me.

really good food from the region. been only once and I think the menu changes daily. the owner is incredibly friendly, and proud of what he’s cooking :). is a small place with around 10 tables so worth booking ahead

Excelent food of traditional dishes of Alentejo, a special region above below river. Alentejo gastronomy uses pork, lamb, goat and it has very good and tastly wines. Many people emigrated from Alentejo to this village near Lisbon, Amadora. Some of them opened restaurants of this traditional food. Metro of Amadora-Este is near.

Small place, very friendly, very good food, simple and tasty. Strong recommendation to visit.

Tiny tiny little restaurant, but completely full. The food is typical Alentejo style. Good portions, just not quite things I like. I was part of a group and ate what they ordered.

Great small restaurant. I have been here a few times, and I have never been disappointed. Recomendation.
