This lake is next to TR Bazaar in Naduvattam around 30 KM from Ooty. This is very picturesque and scenic lake. There is no crowd and one can go and have small picnic. If someone is travelling to visit pine forest, 6th mile shooting point and pykara lake then can go a bit more ahead and visit this. This is not a popular spot but good if you don’t like crowd.

Loved every bit of this place. One could not simply miss this place as it is enroute to Ooty. Best time to visit this place is at break of dawn. Sunrise here is a breathtaker. Make sure not to forget your camera folks while coming here!

This lake owned by Utkarsh is really noice lake. And the Water in it is really magical when you go in dry you come out wet really wet. The green trees are real too ,he puts great effort into watering them. I'll go again

this place was such a delight to visit. I loved every moment of it, especially the views during sunset. cold breeze was the cherry on top. Overall experience was 10/10, would like to visit again.

It's so dank like as the name says DANKRUPT LAKE. Just like if we take a bath in ganga all our sins get washed away if you take a bath in this lake all your normieness I'd say that'll just wash away..

Very beautiful lake less crowded... Don't miss to stop at this place, when you are going to Ooty from Gudalur. Or when you are visiting Pykara Falls from Ooty, You can plan to visit this small lake.. Less popular. You can park the car on the road side. And also some small tea shop is available near to it... Small place but really wonderful... Free Entry

Years ago, when I was backpacking across ooty, I was just outside coimbatore , hiking in the foothills of mount nilgiri. I was at the end of this path, and I came to a clearing, and there was lake dankrupt, very secluded, and there were tall trees all around. It was dead silent. Gorgeous. And across the lake dankrupt I saw, a beautiful woman, bathing herself. but she was crying...

This is a small lake located between Ooty and Gudalur on NH-181. You can take a bus heading to Gudalur from the Ooty bus stand and get down at TR Bazar. The bus fare is Rs. 31. A few restaurants sell local food, snacks, and beverages. Since it's around 30 km from Ooty, only people driving their vehicles stop to take photos. The slope leading down to the lake from the highway is covered with grass, making it a good picnic spot. I was more interested in getting to the opposite bank and exploring the area, but I couldn't find a direct way across. I walked to a small village beside the lake and found a mud path, but it was too slushy cause of the rain. The area looks ideal for hiking as the hills around the lake are covered by forests.

If you are a nature lover then you should definitely spend some time on your way to Pine Forestillot from Ooty, it is such a beautiful place.

Lake view is good , sunset is best time to see here , do go into water , only for see and enjoy
