I highly recommend this unique hotel to every American, at least. This hotel is the best to stay at for when your intellectual brain doesn't want to be bored. My daughter Hannah & I put down our smart phones for good reasons. The hotel is decorated beautifully inside & out. Just remember that if you have to shower in the early morning hours, tell the front desk so that they'll turn on the water heater...then let the water run for five minutes. The only letdown was that I was up at 2:30am & only had cold water, because I forgot to ask for hot.

This was a wonderful experience. I wasn’t expecting much of this hotel and it turned out to be a super cool experience, where the whole family had fun. The accommodations was a bit old school but in good shape, it has this murder hotel feel, the staff was so wonderful and helpful. The restaurant was good, NOTHING OUT OF THIS WORLD, but everything was tasty. We took a big suite and it was so worth it. The hotel had a inner garden with rabbit, my daughter had a blast feeding the rodents. The only bad this is the location, it is right in-front of a major traffic road, but you don’t hear the cars from the room. I love it

This is a truly unique experience that can only happen in the remote parts of Ecuador. I love this 300 year old ranch and it’s creaky floors. It is very well decorated and the service was spectacular.

Best hotel experience of our lives. I could write paragraphs about the beautiful rooms and grounds, or the delicious food, relaxing spa, and helpful staff. But just go. Don’t miss the opportunity!

Even though they say you can cancel 7 days before your trip, I tried and they denied it, saying I can reprogram any date in the next 3 months, I had to show them their own publicity for them to give me a refund.

Staying at Hosteria la Andaluza should be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Everything about the experience is spectacular. The grounds are lush, green and incredibly beautiful. The hotel offers a great (and complimentary) interaction with furry animals, it's a good way to explore the grounds and you get it feed the rabbits. The service is incredible and the staff anticipated our needs. When we arrived, there was already someone to take our luggage from the car and serve us warm drinks at the reception. At the restaurant, the staff was very attentive. The food was delicious and top-notch, the vegan options we requested were flavorful and beautifully presented. The rooms are decorated with charming touches. We highly recommend Hosteria La Andaluza and suggest it to anyone seeking relaxation, nature, beauty, with spectacular accommodations and service.

It is a very nice place to relax... I did spa whish was very nice and reasonable price. Breakfast was so yummy and a lot. The only 2 things in this hotel that took a star was heater in the room was not working well. Another thing was staff were not be able to communicate.

Loved this place! Great views of Chimborazo, friendly staff, great food, beautiful nature & within short distance to Riobamba & Guano. Our guide was Ivan Quinllin. The best!!

Great service, good food. Just make sure to ask your food to be really really hot because on their way to your table dishes get cold quickly. Rooms are nice big enough and you got to have a radiator to warm up the room. The best of staying here is the spectacular view of the collosal Chimborazo. The most beautiful photos I ever got to take.

A hotel, accidentally -maybe- a museum, excellent service. Great rooms and attentive staff. Well worth the stay.

Beautiful place. Food well presented. But food itself no better than other less pretentious restaurants. We would go again because it's such an interesting and beautiful place.

STILL DECIDING? Staying here should be a priority! This place is a hotel, a museum, a botanical garden, a historical landmark, a scenic view, an archive, a great dining experience, and overall a wonderful experience. . IT'S ENDLESS Literally, around every corner there is something new to discover and appreciate. . ANTIQUES AND COLLECTIBLES There are paintings, sculptures, clocks, typewriters, sewing machines, rare Catholic historical pieces dating back to the 17th century, and MUCH more! . BOTANICAL GARDENS The exterior is covered with flora that are meticulously maintained and is a striking first impression. The word "wow!" will enter your thoughts over-and-over as you walk toward the reception area -- and it has just begun. The different types of gardens, the colors, the variety of plants, and how incredibly healthy and stunningly beautiful they are will most certainly amaze even those who are far from being a green thumb. . INTERIOR DESIGN Once inside, what I will call the "wow factor" picks up where you left off. Because the campus dates back to circa 1774, the architecture and design is out of this century, and it is more than obvious. The masonry, the woodwork, the flooring, the walls, everything works together to transport you into an age that has long since passed. . TALLEST MOUNTAIN IN THE WORLD If it's not the rainy season (+/- November to April), you will be astounded by perhaps the most obvious feature of the hotel, and that is the tallest mountain in the world -- "IF" you measure from the center of the Earth. There is no escaping the view of Chimborazo, which is directly behind the facility and is essentially the Mt. Fuji of the Andes mountains. . RURAL FEELING NEAR THE BIG CITY Hosteria La Andaluza is far enough from Riobamba, Ecuador that you do not experience the big city atmosphere, save the Pan-American highway behind the hotel. The vast green fields of varied hues, the old Spanish style ranches in the distance, the classic Latin American court yards, and cobblestone driveway and walkways set the tone for a wonderful visual experience. . OBJECTIVE OPINION There should be no question as to whether you should consider staying here. After reading this objective description of fact, if you're not intrigued, then yes, stay somewhere else because it's history, wonder and beauty will all be wasted.

Not within walking distance from anything. The bathroom should be inspected for cleanliness. See pictures for the shower head and the vent. Nice place if you care to see antiques. WiFi is not strong.
