Small time cook has been our favourite place during our 1 month stay in Amed. Everything they sell is fantastic 🥗 1- pesto corn salad is always done with fresh salad and ingredients 🍟 2- the fries are the best in town. Homemade of course 🍔 3- the BEST BURGER IN AMED. Any burger, fish beef or chicken. 4- the fish and chip is fantastic and a very big portion 5- the bao buns are huge and awesome Small restaurant with only 5 tables and it is usually pretty full. ♻️They sell eco friendly stuff also! Looove that. This is the amed’d’s hidden gem restaurant. Oh and the service is always super nice with a beautiful smile. Tome to get the food is a little long, but all is made fresh. It is Bali style! ☺️😉 this time is so worth waiting. What are you waiting for!? You have to go and try them. 😉

Had high hopes for this burger place as the reviews are mostly good online. But was quite disappointed. Both the "original" and "tropical" burgers were not very tasty. Very greasy and not great meat. Also there were flies EVERYWHERE, so we eventually had no choice but to take away the rest of our food and finish it at home. On the plus side, the mixed sweet potato and regular fries with garlic mayo were good. And the staff were friendly enough.

We came here after I found burgers mentioned online but hadn’t checked the reviews. We sat down and I ordered a beef burger with extra patty. While waiting, I checked the reviews (probably never should do that) and found myself greeted by a very scathing review - and I just ordered a double!! Expecting the worst, the burger came and it looked, to my pleasant surprise like a well ground beef burger. I took a big bite and honestly, it was absolutely great. Juicy, not over done, a decent fresh beef taste, everything you want and need. Complimented nicely with a soft bun and some side dill pickles I had found exactly what I needed and was really impressed. The skin on rustic fries were crunchy and super tasty too. The Other half had the Bao buns which had a great dressing and tasty fresh coriander. No complaints here at all, great work team! 🤤

As a vegetarian, I really recommend this place. Their veggie burger is homemade with black beans and sweet potatoes. They also have delicious tofu bao buns which I have been looking for everywhere in Bali. You can order any burger or bao bun with your choice of patty/ filling. Also not too expensive.

This place absolutely rocks! It was nowhere near our villa but we'd brave the streets of Amed by bike for the 3-mile trek for lunch after diving. When you need a break from Indonesian food and are disappointed by mediocre Italian, go to Small Time Cooks. And then return just because it's so good. Innovative burger toppings on choice of beef, chicken, veggie, or tempeh patties. (The Australian sounds odd but really works.) The fries are killer: go for the spicy-cheese basket. +1 for bring your own water fill.

The most glorious burgers I’ve tasted in Bali. You can’t beat the classic beef burger, in my opinion; but all of them are delightful and juicy. I’m a HUGE fan of the house made pickles & always order extra spears on the side. The bao are magnificent and the fries & aoli .. chef’s kiss 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 a firm favourite restaurant and on regular rotation for us. To top it off, the staff are lovely and always serve with a smile.

Amazing little cosy, road side spot. Each burger you can choose between beef, chicken, veggie or vegan. We ordered an original chicken burger 50k and a tropical burger (pineapple) 60k both were incredible!! Great flavours, really nice homemade pickle on the side. We also ordered a plate of sweet potato fries 18k which were really tasty! I would order the 'basket' of fries for two people, as the normal portion was perfect for one person. They also do salads, juices and a wide range of delicious sounding fries with toppings.

This burgers surprise me, mainly because of the veggie patty which is made out of red rice, Bren’s and sweet potato, beside that one they have one made out of Tempe (soya beans) The fries 🍟 are just amazing, I recommend you the mix between regular fries and sweet potato fries they came with a magnificent sauce. Burgers are between 40k - 55k rupees and you can add, cheese, eggs, extra patty. They have other options in the menu, check it out.

Ate here a couple of times whilst in Amed, such incredible fusion food. The vegan chilli they make is probably one of the best chillis I've ever had and I really didn't expect to say that about a little Bali restaurant. Would highly recommend!
