We have visited this place twice during our stay in Amed and tried many items on the menu, everything worth recommending. Large selection of vegetarian/vegan options.

We ate here multiple times while staying at a nearby villa for a week. It’s a fabulous restaurant with lots of options for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Be sure to get the appetizer sampler platter and save room for dessert. Thank you for being consistently fantastic!

During our stay in Amed my husband and I went to Galanga at least 3 times and enjoyed it every time; it was our local favourite. It has a lovely, peaceful setting and interesting and delicious food, even the dessert and beverages!

I have no prior experience with this dish and I'm already scared to try it anywhere else. The Jackfruit nuggets as appetizers were nice with a delicious tomato sauce. I don't eat vegan very often, but I would advise anyone with doubts on vegan food to try this restaurant.(don't worry they have prawns and meat as well)

I went during lunch during off-season and sat in one of the cute little cabanas with low tables (above-the-knee length sundress was not my best outfit choice but it was fine lol)- it was divine and private. They offered an amuse-bouche which was heavenly. There was a fan and call button for the server. 10/10 recommend!

We visited for dinner, they were very busy but kindly fitted us in. Many others were turned away. Please book to avoid being disappointed. Food was amazing as per other reviews. The starter selection platter (choose between classic or vegetarian) is a must try! My husband had the fish of the day, which was tuna (Ikan a la Galanga) and I had the chicken curry (Ayam Opor) with Yellow Rice as the side dishes. Both meals were delicious. The homemade Kombucha (there are a choice of flavours) in Jamu was also yummy.

Went from a recommendation by Didi from Bali Diversity and it didn't disappoint. Had the fish of the day (tuna) for Ikan Ala Galanga that was cooked at medium based on their recommendation, and it was one of the best dish I have had in Bali. If you're in Amed, I would recommend checking this place out for good food.

We got lucky and were able to share a table with another tourist as we didn’t know reservations were needed. After eating there we know why! The food was delicious with a good variety. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was great too. We were definitely glad we visited.

And the lemongrass ice cream is out of this world! I don't know if I haven't already posted a review, but this was one of the most wonderful places (restaurants) we went to during our honeymoon in Bali in 2017! We had some bad experience with our other hotel (Amed Sari Beach when cockroaches size of a male fist would run in our room) and the staff from Taman Padi came to rescue us. They even took us on motorbikes to one of the nicest restaurant in Bali where the food was very tasty and conditions were very "European".(Galanga garden restaurant)

We don't understand why this place is always packed, we heard things about it so we gave it a try however we found that the portions are very small, and the meals are pricey and nothing out of the ordinary. We left the place quite hungry so we had to go for a second dinner somewhere else. We must say that the appetizer and goodbye sweet one gets on the house are a nice touch.

This place was founded by a Balinese Fisherman and French Cook, so it's a great fusion concept with a creative take on dishes that you wont find anywhere else in the world, literally. The seafood is locally caught, the poultry is free range, the oils, herbs and spices are sourced locally whenever possible. Every dish is well presented and delicious, with the aesthetic decor and ambience of the restaurant to match. When you walk in they ask if you want a garden seat or regular table. Sit in the garden bungalow, take in the view, and enjoy a special meal that's not Indonesian, not western, but a special fusion that only exists at Galanga. Its worth it.

This restaurant is awesome. The menu is great. You get a fancy welcome drink and the main dishes come with salad and soup. I tried the fish cakes and they were great. They also have fresh fish and homemade icecream as well as a great selection of desserts.

One of the best resto in Amed, service is excellent, the staff are so nice. My recommendation is Galanga Fish with Mahi mahi and Dessert Wingko Babat.

I was very impressed by this place. The vegan options where World class although still not enough choice but still the best in the area. I really enjoyed the authenticity, complexity especially off the main course( 14 main ingredients not including spices) . Clearly a very proud chef behind the scenes.

Touted by a local and fellow foodie friend as the best place in Amed - we almost left within the first 15 minutes do to utter disrespect, laziness and apathy of the staff (and owner). However wonderful the food is, which it was, I cannot support a restaurant gorging its patrons with top-prices while providing atrocious service and not even caring when shown their multiple mistakes. We informed of a gluten allergy - we were advised and brought a starter containing gluten. Each time she approached, the server would shout the dishes or ask questions right in the middle of conversation. Basic logic, etiquette, and customer-service skills are non-existent. And when the owner read our detailed review (while we were awaiting an overcharged scooter ride arranged by them), she didn't even bother approaching. Demonstrating at best a lack of courage to learn from mistakes and at worst, total apathy in how customers are treated. The kitchen talent will not sustain this place until serious staff overhaul and attitude change happens.

The food we had was superb - the quality of a French restaurant with Indonesian food as this restaurant is a fusion between French & Indonesian with classic Indonesian dishes with a French twist. First time coming to this resto cos they mentioned Belayag, a dish originally from Karangasem area. I am sure it is tailored a bit to foreign visitors palette but overall still authentic. Tried their starter platter as well and the corn fritter was a star. Gyoza can be improved as the dough is too thick. Cocktails can be made stronger I think. Homemade Ice cream was quite a highlight. It has a nice milky taste although it is a bit too sweet. I tried lemongrass ice cream and coconut ones.
