We had a lovely evening at Sails, the perfect location to watch the full moon rise behind Lombok. The fish wrapped in banana leaves was the best I’ve had in Bali, so much flavour and the fish was cooked to perfection. Treat yourself and try the Marmalade Martini with garlic bread, both were delicious! We will definitely be back next time we visit Amed.

Beautiful restaurant with view the sea, we eat Mai Mai fish and perfectly cooked pork ribs, all very good and reasonably priced. I recommend the two island Wine very good especially the Pinot Grigio. We tried good local restaurants, but we feel confident in recommending it to everyone. Definitely one of the 2 best places to eat fish.

Went on the recommendation of the villas we are staying at. Based on other reviews here, my wife had the fish wrapped in banana leaves and I had the beef tenderloin. Tasting both dishes, she definitely had the better of the two. The mahi mahi was amazing! It was wrapped in the leaf with sauce and large pieces of ginger and onions. The tenderloin was good. Moist and tender throughout and was a great cut of beef. I just felt it was lacking in the taste department, like it hadn't been rubbed in salt and spices long enough. The staff was outstanding. Attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself was bright and clean and had decent (not great) views of the ocean.

An excellent Mediterranean restaurant in Amed area. It is located above a hill by the sea, so I would say it is best for lunch. The view is spectacular.

We had the most delicious meal at Sails. We had pork ribs that just fell off the bone and the sauce flavor was devine. I also had a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc wine with my meal. My partner had lamb medallions which were very tasty with the creamiest mash potato. Staff were very friendly, service was quick and the atmosphere was 10/10.

Very sad to say this place has gone downhill. Hopefully it's a covid thing and they can turn it around. Posting this in the hope the owner sees and can take some action to fix. Used to be one of my favourite places to eat in amed. Ordered a steak medium rare today, was well done, then waited another 15 minutes for the next steak which was blue inside, when I asked what was going on they explained the steak was frozen. Also no import wines on the menu, no premium beer, just Bintang. Also salt pepper squid was over cooked and even so batter was soft.

We finished eating at 20h20 and nobody was there we were the last customers . The staff start cleaning the whole restaurant and piling chairs at 20h25. We didn't feel welcome, we felt like they wanted us out. No atmosphere in this restaurant , just cold white decor , bad music and bad service. Will not go back.

Sails is by far the best restaurant in Amed! After trying a couple of the nicer restaurants around Amed we tried Sails and it did not disappoint! Me and my girlfriend then ate here for lunch and for dinner for 6 days straight each time getting different meals and each was just as good as the last! 10/10 fresh food, 10/10 warm friendly service and the price/value for what you get is amazing.
