Recommended place. I and my wife we stayed there 2 nights and we love the place. Rooms were perfectly clean even you can smell softner when you enter the room. Especially we love the bathroom which is outside of the room in privet. The place is located just front of the beach which is volcanic black sand beach simply perfect. You can swim and snorkeling right front of the hotel, perfect corals fishes you feel like in a fish tank but you are swimming at sea. Lipah beach was perfect for snorkeling also swimming. But why i didnt gave 5 star is Hidden paradise cottages and Coral view hotel are the same business and if you stay at hidden paradise you can not eat or order lunch, dinner or beverages at the Hidden paradise cottages. They only serve you a breakfast and thats it after that you are your own. They were saying go Coral view hotel if you need anything. İf its okay with that this is your place we really like it actually. You can do shopping very close small shops that you can buy water, tea, coffee, beer...etc.

Money making machine with bad value for money and bad management. Great location, pretty gardens, below average bungalows, good restaurant, below average breakfast, extremely high prices for what you get and questionable management. We had to pay more than anywhere else for a semi-broken scooter. The bungalows are outdated, doors don’t close properly so the geckos are the least of your worries, given the mosquito net let’s through everything else. We had our mattress and sheets be flooded one night because of a leaking roof during heavy rains, management wouldn’t even go into it or offer a discount for a night we had to sleep in a completely soaked bed. The bathrooms and showers are ok - partially exposed so lots of creepy crawlers if you use them after dark. Staff in the garden was really friendly, restaurant staff was 50/50. There was no care given for putting up sun beds, the beach in front of the hotel is not being cleaned and in general this is not what we love about Bali. The breakfast was far below what much cheaper places offer, just pancakes and some noodle Goreng dish and bread. They had a proper coffee machine which was a plus but that’s about it. Great on pictures, mediocre in facilities, terrible in value for money (and we know, we stayed for a whole week). To the management: try to bring value for money and have your guests enjoy their trip - this is not only going to drive your customers to come back but cause positive feedback. Price per night was 900k - fair prices per night we are used to for the very same (and better) service revolve around 400-500k. Just because it’s on the beach doesn’t mean it’s any good. And by the way - pay your drivers more. Having someone work for 10 hours to get a lousy 200k is cruel. When tips are higher than the salary you know something is off.

Time stood still at "Hidden Paradise Cottage," which is her charms. The friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic kitchen with marvellous food makes the stay worthwhile.

Beautiful. Romantic. A Bed the size of my old dorm room :) Pool is clean and beautiful with the frangipani trees over it. The restaurant has great food. The personnel was helpful. We decided to change our booking last minute and they had no problem with it! Great place to stay for those who wish to be a little outside of Amed for serenity, but still close for the daily activities.

We stayed for one week in Hidden Paradise as due to Corona the owner offered us to stay there for a price way below the one you get on booking.com etc. or during “normal” times. We WIFI worked great and even after 1,5 years of basically having no tourists there, they still maintain the place very well and the gardener is doing is work everyday. At the moment they only offer breakfast (which is really good) but no other meals and they closed the beach restaurant. The sunrises at the beach offer an amazing view and there are plenty of Warungs around to get good food. The owner helped us with everything need. They also cleaned our room every day when we went out to the beach or to get food in the city. Only thing were I have to confirm previous reviews, the rooms really need some repair again. A lot of stuff looks broken and old, also the closets were a little bit smelly.

Beautiful grounds and large rooms, pool perfect temperature, but look out crossing the sand to the water! It has a high iron content and gets mighty hot! Another few seconds and I would have seriously burnt my feet! Wear sandals or flip flops!

Ok place to stay in Amed. The beach is great. The first day we had a load of Plastic on the beach, but it went away. It shows you the reality of our oceanic pollution. The rest of the time the water was clear and clean. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are spacious. We had a bath tub and our son loved it.

Lovely gardens and cottages 5*. Nice pool and beach access. Good snorkling directly in front of hotel area 5*. Breakfast was very good but not buffet style. Still one did get enough to eat. Room had amazing outdoor bathroom which I liked a lot. The door to bathroom in cottage 22 seemed to hang a bit and got always stuck and made lot of noise. Bed is a bit on the small side. Flies at breakfast time were quite annoying. Also mosquitos in room during night especially after rain since we staid in January during rainy season. Price a bit high comparing to hotel we had in Ubud which was of a higher standard and cost less.

We are a family of 3 staying in the family bungalow, it is very clean and the grounds are beautiful. The cottage is quite small though. Also, they give 4 bottles of water per day. After that, you have to purchase; this is different from other hotels we've stayed at. Continental breakfast is cooked to order and delicious! Fresh fruit salad is actually cut and served especially for you! The restaurant serves traditional balinese food, very good. They even made my son a grilled cheese upon request (after I explained what it is).

This place is so great. It's beautiful, reasonably priced, clean, and right on the ocean (which is warm, gentle, and full of decent snorkeling spots). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is delicious. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful-- a bit rustic without sacrificing any comfort. Hidden Paradise is my ideal vacation spot. I highly recommend it, even though I want to keep this place to myself.

The good - Location. Right next to the beach. Easy access for swimming and good snorkelling. Free sunbeds available for guests. Dinner food and cocktails were decent. The not so good - Dated cottages with doors that don't close properly. Lizards, ants and other bugs inside the room and bathroom. Farm animals held next to the cottages. We were awoken at 5am each morning by roosters crowing and other animal noises. Overall poor noise isolation inside the accommodation. Loud noise from surrounding palm trees hitting the roof due to wind. Overall we did not have a good night sleep a single night and felt tired throughout the stay. Breakfast below average with half of the food cold. Few nice staff members but mostly apathetic. We had nicer service in other hotels in Bali. Adds 15% service charge to any food or drinks you buy. Service charge is common in Bali but this is the highest we've seen for frankly mediocre service. Expected more for €110 per night. Wish we had payed a bit extra for a 5 star accommodation instead.

🫤 The place has an atmosphere... but this atmosphere was mostly created by nature. You added good music, furniture, invested a lot of money in construction... but what you feed people and what drinks you sell is a different story. Unfortunately, despite all the beauty of this place, you can only come...

👍👍 Italian food in Bali? I never would have thought to eat something so good on the other side of the world. It may not be the kind of cuisine they serve in Naples or Rome, but it has something.
