I just finished my Padi open water class with La Bila Dive resort. 3 days of theory and practical exercises. I guess I was lucky having almost every day a private instructor. The class was perfect, they took all the time in the world to make sure we could practice our skills and get used to the diving. Very friendly staff that loves a laugh! Happy that I did my class with La Bila and would everyone recommend this place, don’t hesitate, go!

The rooms are clean. The owner is really friendly & helpful. Extra bed was free. Made us feel welcomed & at home. Unfortunately, Covid has taken toll at the facilities. Just reopened in June 2022, many stuff need to be maintained or replaced, but he has no fund to do so.

Top star hospitality! Stayed here for few days, ended up extending my stay. Friendly staff and owner, they offered me to have my "breakfast" even it was lunch time already because I woke up late. Also they always asking about our activity hoping to assist in our journey in Amed, which I found it really lovely. My only complain the blanket are too thin, easily get cold with it and also there's no water bidet for the toilet. Overall it's nice place to stay, worth the price.

I did my open water with my friend, we were lucky enough to have a private group according to our availability! Labila is one of the best diving centers on Amed for sure! Pascal and Diane are two lovers of the deep, and they taught us the basics of diving. It was a great experience, check out their Instagram for more pictures they are very active on it !

What a lovely stay at this lovingly run dive resort. Ketut is a super helpful host and puts all his energy into fulfilling his guests' every wish. I felt at home here and extended my stay several times. If you come to Amed for diving, I can also highly recommend booking dives with Pascal or Andy at the dive centre. I will definitely come back.

We had such a great time diving with La Bila as beginner and experienced divers! The sites are fantastic in Amed - great reefs, so many marine species and accessible ship wrecks that you can visit. I was a new diver and my partner wanted to complete their advanced. Our instructors were great at organising dives so me and my partner could dive together when possible. The dives are great value. For Open water courses, as well as PADI cert they also offer ADIP which is a more affordable option for budgets. Margot was a great instructor for me as a beginner, she helped me feel comfortable with diving, able to enjoy the scenery and lots of fun! She was also very informative throughout each dive session, so learning material for the course was interesting. We were actually on the fence about whether to dive in Amed - and so glad we did. Completely memorable experience! Thank you to the La Bila team!

My partner and I stayed here for a week and did our Advanced Open Water Diver course. The accommodations are simple but clean and comfortable and breakfast was always tasty and filling. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Due to my partner’s work, we could only dive in the afternoon so they adjusted the course to fit our schedule. Pascal is an excellent instructor. We did fun dives with Andy and he’s great too. Dive sites around Amed are wonderful and totally worth a visit, especially the wrecks!

Diving with La Bila was an amazing experience! Not only were Pascal and Margot super knowledgeable about diving in Amed and about diving in general. The vibe within the company is great, the theory is clearly explained and the equipment was either new or in very good shape. Will 100% dive with them again on my next stay in Amed.

The people are incredibly warm, helpful, and just wonderful. I completed my Open Water diving certification here, and it was fantastic! Despite my initial fear of diving, I felt instantly secure. My Dive Instructor was a perfect match for me, making the experience seamless. If you're interested in diving, this is the perfect place to be!

Did a 2 day dive course here with 5 dives. Fantastic experience! Pascal was very experienced, dedicated and eager to provide an excellent training. Highly recommended, I hope to return in the future!

Amazing dive center! I reached out La Bila literally as I was on my way to Amed and Pascal contacted me to setup a night dive in just a few hours! From start to finish they make sure you are knowledgable and safe in your capabilities, and will make you check your gear like you’re back taking your open water cert. From pickup, dropoff, equipment, snacks, and customer care, they will attend to all of your needs. Pascal is a very funny french guy who will keep things interesting :).

Went to dive for 1 day to la Bila. The time was more than pleasant by the hand of pascal. Did my nitrox course and had an amazing dive in the tulamen liberty wreck. An experience to remember and repeat ! Thank you so much the fun dive day!

Highly recommended. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. Seamless check-in process. It's unimaginable that you can get breakfast in such a low price. Very good value for money.

My experience at La Bila was absolutely delightful! It was my first time in Amed and I had an amazing time, so much so that I decided to extend my stay. The place was charming and cozy, making me feel right at home. I cannot praise the staff enough, especially Mr. Ketut and his wife Kadek, who were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable. I have yet to come across owners as hands-on as Ketut and his wife. They treated me like family, and it was difficult to bid them farewell. Although I didn't have the chance to take their diving course, I met their instructor Pascal, who was equally welcoming. I plan to return to La Bila in the future and take the diving course. Thank you, terimakasih!

I had a wonderful long weekend at La Bila Dive Resort in Amed. It was one of the more personalized trips I have had, where there was a genuine welcome and friendly atmosphere throughout. Pak Ketut was on time to pick me up from the airport and drove carefully all the way back, and stopped to visit a nice temple along the way. He was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay, including inviting me to a family ceremony as I happened to be there during a religious Balinese ceremony. Juan and Iluh were wonderful. Friendly, welcoming, and always with ready smiles. Juan was an excellent instructor, helping me to improve my diving skills during the four dives we took together. Iluh, also an experienced dive instructor, was a great supporter during the dives and wonderful company as well. There are many great places to eat when not diving close to the guest house / hotel, and those added to the special experience. The views of Mt. Agung, clearly visible from the hotel, were an added plus. I had a great visit, and recommend it highly to all. Thank you!!!

I couldn't have asked for a best experience! This was my first time diving in Bali and I absolutely loved it. Iluh and Juan clearly have a lot of experience about the diving sites in the area and it shows in the way they talk about them and guide the dives. The diving equipment is in great shape (no leaky BCDs, quality masks and proper fins and boots), the accommodation is comfortable and the food was tasty and to top it all off, hanging out together during the surface intervals was a lot of fun.

We went diving with La Bila today. Instructors Iluh and Juan were there from start to finish and made sure our day of diving was the best it could possibly be. They are a very sweet and fun couple, and they work in small, personal groups so that they can give you all the attention and care you need. Their gear is all well-kept, and as instructors, they are very calm, clear and engaging. The two dives we had with them were honestly the best we have had in terms of guidance and care - above and beneath the water's surface. I would recommend La Bila to anyone interested in Amed diving.

I did not stay at this resort. HOWEVER, I feel compelled to write a review because I booked scuba diving through them with the help of the manager Ketut, who was amazing. We actually got sick one of the days we were supposed to go diving and walked to the hotel to tell Ketut to contact our diving instructor. He ended up giving us bottled water and then drove us to a pharmacy in town because the one locally didn't have many options. He then waited for us to get our medicine and drove us directly to our hotel and would not accept our money. We were blown away by his hospitality. Even if you don't stay here, he can help you book taxis anywhere. Plus, we had a great experience diving with them!

I got my PADI open water diver certificate with La Bila after a good 3 days of training. During those dives, my instructor Pascal made sure I pick up on all the safety measures, master all the necessary skills, and prepared me to become an autonomous diver. If you are seeking a personalized training with a close attention from your instructor, then La Bila is the place for you.

We had such a lovely stay at La Bila Dive Resort! Ketut and all his team have been so nice with us and made us feel at home from the first moment. Thanks to them, we had the possibility to live some local experiences, such as join a cooking class with them and go fishing with a local fisherman. Such a good experience! We also joined a diving lesson with Pascal and all his team, it was super! The rooms were very simple, but with everything we needed and the localation of the resort was great. Again, thanks for this wonderful stay. We will come back for sure😊

We cannot recommend this place enough for diving in Bali - they are great at what they do. We wanted to do our Advance Open Water certification here and we did, with our dive instructor Ilu (rare female dive instructor in Bali!). Ilu is extremely patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. We always felt very safe under her supervision. She always explained concepts and the exercises we would have to do underwater beforehand in good detail so that we understood them. Apart from being a great dive school, La Bila also has a great crew of people. The resort manager Juan is extremely communicative, helpful, and flexible in arranging extra activities for us. We also had a fantastic driver who went the extra mile to try and bring us to all the nice places in Bali on our last day. The accommodation of La Bila itself is simple but has everything you need for a dive stay - a clean and comfortable room to rest in while rejuvenating between diving days. This is not the place to spend entire days in if you are not doing other activities throughout the day.

A wonderful stay in Amed at La Bila with my partner and baby. We were warmly welcomed by Mr Ketut and family. They were always available to help and provided us with water. Our stay included a basic but delicious breakfast each morning and snorkelling gear. Our room was simple but was everything we needed. The location is great, very central and close to many restaurants. They were absolutely wonderful with our baby and it was sad to say goodbye at the end of our stay. If we visit Amed again we will stay here for sure 😊

My favourite guesthouse in Bali, I keep coming back to this place. There is no better example of Balinese hospitality than that which you receive from Ketut and Kadek at La Bila. There is nothing that won't do to make you feel at home. They have helped me with everything from taking my scooter to be repaired at the mechanic, to taking me to the local doctor when I was ill, to sharing the Balinese traditions and way of life, all the while expecting nothing in return. The location is perfect. Right in the center of amed, just by the beach and near plenty of great restaurants. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable and the views from the upstairs bed in the family room are just amazing! Try the food while you're there, Kadek is a fantastic cook. My recommendations are tempe sate, steamed fish with yellow sauce and of course the legendary tempe cordon bleu. 😋 Thank you Pak Ketut and Ibu Kadek for making me feel so at home and welcomed at La Bila. I know I'll be back.

Ketut and his family went above my expectations of hospitality. Whether it be dropping me off on the bike, allowing me to cancel scuba when I want feeling great, taking me to a medicine man. Thank you for making me feel so safe in Amed. excellent service! Also a reliable transfer service between cities if you need.

Really simple beautiful little resort, budget, basic but clean and staff very nice. Owner very helpful, provide transport and all the connections/contacts to go diving or whatever you need. Just across the road from nice little mexican restaurant, burritos everyday.

Mr. Ketut and his wife are really some of the nicest and most hospitable people who ever run a guest house, always there to help, rooms are clean, breakfast is great, ask for the special Tempeh Cordon Bleu if you wana try something tasty. Really can't say enough good words about this place and the people working there!!!

La Bila really was the perfect place for us to stay in Amed for a week due to many reasons. If you want to go or learn diving you have to go to La Bila. Pascal the diving instructor is the best all over Bali. We did several dives with him for our advanced open water diver including wreck and night dives e.g. AMAZING! We always felt save with Pascal and had a great time with him. Also the whole equipment was new and well checked. Thanks so much again for the great time Pascal! Also for the rest La Bila is awesome. Ketut and his team will do everything to enjoy you stay. He picked us up from Denpasar, organized a great tour to Mount Batur and the tickets to the boat to Gili. Breakfast and all the food is lovely, rooms are very spacious and clean. They even clean it every day if you want to. Bed is comfortable and shower hot and high pressure (not everywhere in Indonesia 🙂). If you want to see Bali in from a different exciting perspective above and under water just go to La Bila Amed. You'll definitely enjoy every minute! Thanks so much to the whole team!

We can only praise the hospitality of Ketut! He was so patient, kind and generous with his time. We stayed at La Bila for 5 days and did our Padi Open Water Course with Pascal. Despite poor weather conditions we had a great time and a very memorable Christmas. Ketut picked us up from the airport on arrival, and our plane was delayed, so he had to wait until 1:30 am for us!! We felt terrible but he assured us everything was good and drove us the 3 hours to the resort! He also drove us to Ubud and gave us a tour of some temples on the way at the end of our stay. La Bila Resort is simple but for the price that includes hot showers and a hot made to order breakfast and coffee you can’t really beat it. We really appreciated our time at La Bila and would highly recommend booking Ketut for your transportation if you are in Amed, or the PADI courses with Pascal. Also the fresh fish at the restaurant is delicious!

So the good experience starts from the WhatsApp inquiry with Ketut, where he is always responsive and helpful with all my questions. Price is very friendly and I ended up staying 4 nights. What you expense there are put on tab (lunch, dinner, beer, laundry, scooter, taxi) and you pay at the end of your stay which is convenient and great because it just shows how much they trust you. I also got my open water diving certification with Pascal. He is a great instructor with great knowledge and makes sure that you will possess the knowledge to be a good diver too. He is thorough in the course and you will definitely feel safe and confident in the waters. I am happy to have spent time with Ketut and Pascal, hope to go back very soon to Amed to see you guys again!

First of all, we would like to appreciate approach of the owner - he fixed our motorbike and rented us snorkeling equipment for good price. When it comes to accomodation - it’s very basic, doors are hard to lock or close, but it’s ok for a few nights. But what was the main thing what really suprised us was the approach of the staff. On the first sight they will smile at you but then they will gossip and laugh about you behind your back. We have already spent 2 months in Bali and never experience anything like that from local people. I hope that you can at least think about this and improve your approach to tourists - the fact that we are from different country doesn’t mean that we are rich and have easier life than you. We also need to work hard to earn money, nothing in life is for free and if tourists are coming to your place, the last thing what you want to do for your bussiness is to make them feel unwelcomed. Despite of this we wish you all the best for your future and please, think about the way how you treat people.

It was the perfect diving school for us beginners, as we were only two and could do it in our way and tempo. Juan speaks German very well and has explained everything well so that we feel safe and comfortable under water. In the price included were lunch, bottles of water, towels, transfer, equipment and lots of fun ;) Iluh and Juan are the operators of La Bila Dive, run the diving school with love and in a familiar way and so set themselves apart from other schools. Thanks for the lovely and nice day. We really enjoyed our time there and we highly recommend this diving school. Greets from Austria M &J 🇦🇹

Had the best time here! Everyone on staff was extremely friendly and made for a great spring break trip. I completed my advanced diving course here with the help of Pascal who is the best instructor in all of Amed! Really nice place to stay and Ketut(the owner) does a fantastic job make sure your trip is everything you want it to be!

Awesome diving shop, strongly recommended 💯 ! We did our Open Water (ADIP 1) there 🤙 The great part is that you have private lessons, so they're only focusing on you. We had the pleasure of diving with Diane, explaining clear instructions, giving us confidence underwater and being a beautiful soul. Pascal, the shop manager, is super friendly and was very helpful to us. Thanks for the experience guys 🤘🤿

There are some who are programmed to be Trainers & Instructors, Pascal and Andres are of that special breed. A very methodical training curated for anyone with the best practices instilled in you until you exhibit the behaviour instinctively, and these gentlemen do a bloody good job at it. Ketut, top notch host and is a go-getter. Had an amazing experience thus far.

I completed the Open Water Diver course and because my instructor Diane was such a great teacher and diving buddy, I spontaneously added the Advanced Open Water straight after that. The owner of the resort (Bungalows, Restaurant...) Ketut really is a good soul, as are his family and employees. The manager of the diving activities, Pascal, is a reliable, supportive and funny guy. Everybody was always friendly, helpful and caring. My instructor Diane was organized, patient and attentive so that I always had the feeling that the pace of learning, exploring, repeating and just having fun was perfectly matched to my needs/wants. Diane always made an effort after diving to help you log your dives and to take time talking about the things you saw under water. La Bila Dive Resort was perfect to learn diving and to experience the phenomenal diving spots in the Amed region - USAT Liberty Wreck, bioluminescent Plankton in a night dive, so many different organisms... Wholehearted recommendation!

My friend and I did take a fun dive with Pascal: we had a great time! Pascal took time to explain everything in details, we could enjoy a very nice dive: safe and respectful! Besides, he did manage to sort (last minute) rental of GoPro cases he didn't have in stock: we highly recommend Pascal 😉
