Like related in previous reviews, the owner approached us on the beach, talking about fresh fish just caught! Food was good but kid portion. We had a nice atmosphere with the grandpa who played rindik and sulin for/with us. Like they said, it is to support local community, so worth a try!

Great dinner and friendly service at Apik Warung. Check what the catch of the day is, given the owner is also a fisherman you know it's going to be fresh! Also you get a good inside story on whats happening locally so you have a chance to appreciate some local customs during your stay (for instance we know there will be a boat race tomorrow!)

Don't be played by the empty look of the warung, it's low season so not so many tourists around here ,but the food is delicious and comes at a fair price. You must try the fresh catch of the day, it was delicious ! I ordered grilled fish with rice , vegetables with a sauce made of garlic and shallots . Looks simple but amazing! The fish was still very juicy and tender inside ,and tastes like braised on coconut wood . no fishbones ~ The owners family is also very kind and welcoming, they propose different services , snorkeling equipment rental, boat tours or visits , just ask!

We met Made and he promised fresh yellow tuna. We had amazing dinner; grilled fish in lemon and chili sauce & another plate was garlic onion sauce. Thanks Made wish to meet you soon. PS. He also organized snorkeling & sunset boat trip for us, good price & great quality.

If you go here you should definitely get the fresh fish because that is the best thing they have! The barracuda was great! It’s a simple place with an owner who catches the fish every morning. Give this place a try if you are in the mood for fresh ocean fish.

As a local wurang in Amed, this was a good experience. Tasty, well presented and good value food. Owner, Made, is an eager recruiter of customers. Some people may not respond well to this but we were very pleased to have accepted his enthusiastic invitation. Thank you Mr & Mrs Made 🙏

We had the best grilled fish caught by Made and cooked to perfection by his wife. Delicious vegetables, sambal and rice to accompany the grilled fish. Lovely friendly family.. Highly recommend.

Great place for fish some of the best cooked barracuda I've eaten so far, juicy and delicious, Made and his family are lovely, food cooked by his wife is really made with love, just clean cut simple food cooked really well, would highly recommend if you are in Amed, great price as well. Also adding some music vibes having a jam while waiting, great fun we went back again tonight. Will be seeing you again soon.

We had a good lunch here at the restaurant, but I'd actually like to highlight the extraordinary problem solving attitude of the owner. We were looking for hiring an affordable dive camera. Despite not being his core business, the owner found us a solution further in town. Also organizes boat and drive tours. We were driven to the airport by his cousin Roy, whom we absolutely recommend. Very friendly, not constantly pushing for things, and a clear solid attitude for safety. If you need any booking, or (especially) if you have any tailored needs, I recommend to have a talk at Apik Warung.

The meals here will not disappoint! Spicy BBQ fish varieties were served with freshly prepared vegetables & rice! Tasty and generous portions at very reasonable prices. Ticks all the boxes!

We are used to eat well and have eaten seafood in many places & Restaurants, But this was some of the freshest and nicest fish we have tasted so far and the best we have eaten in Bali. The owner also organized us a very nice fireside barbecue of fresh fish and traditional cuisine he caught that morning + organized us transport & transfer for a very fair price. Very happy we came there and will do it again.

A small local family restaurant with absolutely amazing food! You might not realise it by the looks of the restaurant, but step inside and order some of the fresh fish of the day or chicken satay and you will be blown away by how good it is. We also rented snorkling gear for our children from the owner, who was very kind and assisting. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Amed!

The best Fish I’ve had in my whole life! It took a while to prepare it, but the owner and his wife are very nice and sweet people. The mahi-mahi was freshly caught This morning!🫶🏻 The portion looked at first a bit little but was actually quite big! He even offered me a ride back to my hostel for free. All over all it was a genuine nice experience with an even better conversation. 100% recommendation!

To be honest I’m quite disappointed with his behavior. We rent snorkel gear and had dinner at his warung on the first time and everything went well. He also behaved polite and nicely. Until he offered if me and my partner wanted to watch sunset, fishing and feed dolphin by the boat. He was little bit insisted us to get dinner afterwards. We were agree for that. Turns out no dolphin at all. He should’ve mentioned seeing dolphin is possible but might be rare from the very beginning instead of saying it very certain. Then, we wanted to cancel the dinner because my partner doesn’t feel good. Suddenly he chased us to our place and said the dinner is already been cooking and asked for the money. We paid and said to him clearly to deliver to our place but didn’t show up. Not even deliver the food. The name card he gave to us is a fake. We waited for 30 minutes and he didn’t show up. We very disappointed with his attitude.

Made encouraged us to come to his restaurant; We had a great time experiencing a local warung in a local environment. Made recommended us to order Barracuda with a garlic and onion sauce. It was grilled to perfection with local veggies. Not spicy, just the right combo of flavours. We 100% recommend. Don't walk passed Warung Apik.

We met on the beach and heard about the fresh fish. Went there and had a wonderful dinner of ultra fresh barracuda and mahi mahi, some prepared in coconut leaves and the rest in lime/chili. Highly recommend this entrepreneur and his family!

We were invited by Apik the owner to try his freshly caught grilled fish and were NOT disappointed. Very authentic flavours. Superb local warung food! Apik was very interesting to talk with. 😀

The chatty and friendly owner was very nice and offered us a fresh fish he said he just caught. How disappointed I was when I got my meal - I never saw such a little piece of fish, you can only compare it with a fish nugget or fish stick. The taste was OK, the price was higher than overage in Amed.

Very charming family run local spot. Food was good and inexpensive. We had a delicious fish dish. But the charm of this place was the staff. Be sure to get a music lesson from the grandfather who plays the Rindik and was greatly patient with us as we were hopeless at playing.

Super welcome! The manager and his family are real sweethearts. Special dish prepared just for us. The fish was very good, well seasoned. If you want to support the local restaurant, eat for a good price in a family atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant

This very plain looking restaurant shouldn’t stop you from eating there. The owner is nice, service is great and the food is delicious. We had grilled Mahi Mahi and Barracuda which was freshly caught. It was the best fish I have had on Bali.

We had fresh barracuda and mahi mahi fish. It was very delicious. We borrowed the owners scooter so we could get good pizzas for our kids from the Trattoria Down the road. The day after we went on a boat trip (arranged by the owner) to Jemeluk Beach where we was lucky to see dolphins, coral reef with lots og Fish and a grand turtle 😄
