Very beautiful and quite. I love their wooden style bungalows, the downside is the floor creaking a bit. They staff was very friendly and helpful. My only problem is a lot of mosquitoes but they provide repellent in the room. It has access directly to the black rocky beach - which is great.

Only visited here for the restaurant and it was fantastic. Amazing portions of well made and delicious food. I had a four cheese pizza and my fiancé had some fried rice. Both dishes were delicious.

Santai hotel has special charm about it. It is one my best relaxing spot in Amed. Food is excellent and beer is is so cold that you get brain freeze! Staff been working in this place for 20 years and they really know their business. So friendly and you feel part of of family, while you stay in this old school Bali hotel. Highly recommended if you are travelling in Amed area.

Lovely little gem. After viewing a villa here last night it was a treat to stay here. Everything was immaculate and clean, villa, pool, and grounds. It's obvious some places are still recovering from the pandemic, but here although they have suffered, they are ready to go. Staff were attentive and to wake up and find the tea/coffee tray on your balcony was a lovely touch. Definitely a place worth saying yes to.

We loved this hotel and would return in a heartbeat. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I'm surprised to read that some guests felt otherwise, but perhaps the problem was with them, not the staff, because we found them to be very nice. We loved our beachfront thatched cottage, and the vibe it encouraged with the ample use of timber, bamboo and natural materials. We felt transported and immersed into a quintessential tropical locale and found our few days here totally relaxing. There is a large verandah, perfect for watching the sea or reading a book, and the morning coffee left there each morning was a nice touch. The outdoor shower and bathroom was well appointed and the water pressure was a good strength. Bed was large and very comfortable. There are eateries and a small supermarket within walking distance North or South, and the staff can arrange motor scooters at a good price if you'd like . I can recommend getting the scooters for at least one day and ride as far as you like South through traditional Balinese fishing villages with breathtaking ocean scenery. We highly recommend Santai Hotel, Amed.

Before sharing this review, I tried to get in touch with the hotel itself via email. However, I have not heard anything back to date. Together with my wife and our 1-year-old son, we stayed at this hotel from February 10th to February 16th, 2024. Let me start by saying, the location is fantastic, and the staff is very kind. Apart from the fact that there are a lot of mosquitoes, the air conditioning smelled bad. Apparently, the air conditioning was so dirty and poorly maintained that the entire family contracted a lung infection as a result. This has put quite a damper on our vacation. F.Y.I. We stayed in cottage 1.

The rooms are what I imagined being in Bali would be. Located right on the water with the kindest staff. We had the garden view room and it was beautiful. There are ocean view rooms as well. Food was great and coffee was is brought to your deck each morning.

Warmly welcome by Mr. Karim and his teams. This lotel is so pretty from the entrance. That small tosca entrance door is so lovely, than you welcome by huge blooming pink Bougenvilles around the pool. And there is another tosca door leading to the beach. We stayed 3nights at villa #1 which has the best view. We were 2 adult and 2 kids under 12. The villa #1 has 1 king size bed and at the duplex there are twin bed. So we sleeps comfortably. The outdoor bathroom is also pretty and clean. This beachfront villa is really recommended when you stay in Amed. Breakfast was good. Santai means relax which we did. This hotel has car park, Indomaret (minimart), laundry nearby.

Amazing snorkeling just out the front. Coral reef, turtles & an awesome drop off. The food was exceptional & the staff very accommodating to all our needs. Located about 5 minutes from town. Beautiful sunrises with fresh coffee delivered every morning. Very thankful for our time at Santai hotel.

The hotel is simply Beautiful. The setups, the location, the service are exceptional. Absolutely love this place. The food is delicious and the rooms are so spacious. If you go around the place for a walk, you will see a beautiful mountain range. The beach is so beautiful as well. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay.

Worst experience of my life in this hotel… the blanket was not clean, the shower was dirty, 0 water pressure so it takes 20 min for a shower, next to the toilet a huge cockroaches was there and a spider that have the size of my hand on the wall Everything was awful

The Ocean view room was very noisy as its right by the road which made it hard to sleep well but the pretty grounds and pool are right on the beach and the snorkelling was good. Too bad because the Toraja style huts were really nice and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! There was also a funny smell in the room and a bit of a sewer smell by the pool. The service and food were great but overall this place is nice but somewhat pricey.

This is an incredible resort! Small and cozy, the staff is very friendly and took great care of us, our oceanview villa was perfect. We loved having coffee on our porch watching the sun rise over the ocean, and then enjoying the lovely breakfast - included with our room! The dragon fruit smoothie bowl is so tasty, we're still dreaming about it! The restaurant is also great for a nice dinner overlooking the pool and the ocean, listening to the waves. They have spa treatments available in the oceanside gazebo, or there's also a free shuttle to their sister hotel, The Griya, where they have more facilities with a more modern vibe. They also organized a very friendly driver to pick us up from the airport and then also for a full day tour of some great Bali sights, even dropping us off at a different hotel for no extra charge. Can't say enough good things about Santai - if you're considering staying here, DEFINITELY DO IT!

I’ve been staying here two times. The place and it’s surroundings instantly takes me to holiday mode. It truly feels like you are in tropical paradise island when sitting on the terrace of beach front bungalow and looking at the horizon. Santai is perfect weekend holiday spot to escape hectic southern Bali.

Somewhat old room that smells funky. The furniture is also old. Our room was next to the road so the bikes were very loud. And since the room was on the second floor, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, because it was too hot.

Lovely location right on the beach. Beautiful pool and gardens. The food is fantastic particularly breakfast. Always service with a smile. Rooms are rustic with good AC and lovely open bathrooms. Hint. One minute up the road is a new sunset area. It’s also great for sunrise on Agung and pretty and village below bay.

Very lovely place, beautiful bungalows right by the sea, friendly service. Breakfast was good. There is a bar near across the street and they had a live band playing on Sunday evening at 9 to 11pm. We could hear everything into our bungalows. But because the band was good, no harm done. Monday was quiet. if you are looking for just to hear the ocean waves, check the bars live perfomance schedule. Also some traffic noise might be heard, but not too bad. Get a massage on the beach and get know to some local people, they are very friendly :)
