We came here with family and each got a villa. It was an incredible and memorable experience for us all. And we wish we didn't have to leave. The views of the hillside and water were breathtaking. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. We were able to get help with driving, snorkeling, diving, and sightseeing. The spa was lovely and we all got multiple treatments. I felt like we got to experience a little bit of everything while we were here. Only wish we had more time!

Had lunch here. Duck was dry as cardboard. So many flies and bugs I spent most of the lunch trying to swat them away. No fly swatter, no one seemed to care. When the waitress asked if we were finished she took one plate away and never came back to clean the table. Flies were still everywhere. Saw a villa and was really impressed. Until I started reading the reviews Don't think I will be back. Very sad as it looks nice.

During our recent stay in Amed, Bali, my wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing The Griya Villas and Spa. While our journey started with a small hiccup, the resort quickly rectified the situation the next day, allowing us to fully enjoy our time in this enchanting destination. After a minor mix-up, we were moved the next day to Villa No. 8, a one-bedroom haven that surpassed our expectations. The villa was well-appointed, featuring a separate sleeping room with an inviting outdoor bath and a spacious living room complete with a kitchenette. However, the true highlight was the absolute gem of an infinity pool that overlooked the stunning Lipah Beach, offering mesmerizing views stretching towards Lombok. We found ourselves captivated by the private courtyard and pool, which provided the perfect setting for relaxation and cherished moments. The culinary delights at The Griya Villas and Spa were a delightful surprise. The food served was excellent, showcasing flavors that are local but still great for non Balinese people…:-) However, we did find it slightly unusual for a 5-star hotel to limit breakfast choices to one hot and one cold drink, along with two food options. Nonetheless, the quality and taste of the meals were commendable. Another noteworthy aspect was the spa, where we indulged in great treatments. Additionally, we must mention the rooftop bar, which offered a captivating view of the sun setting beside Mount Agung. The serene atmosphere and awe-inspiring scenery made for a memorable evening. It is worth noting that while The Griya Villas and Spa boasts great villas and delightful cuisine, we did not feel that it entirely lived up to its 5-star rating. The level of service, while generally satisfactory, did not consistently match the expectations of a luxury resort. However, the resort did offer a generous service by providing convenient pick-up arrangements from our previous hotel and arranging transportation to our next destination, which we truly appreciated. All in all, The Griya Villas and Spa in Amed, Bali is a hidden gem with breathtaking views and serene surroundings. While it may not fully meet the expectations of a 5-star resort, the beauty of the private villas, the delectable cuisine, and the memorable experiences make it a worthwhile destination. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to those seeking a tranquil retreat in Amed.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our villa was stunningly beautiful with 2 huge master bedrooms & an infinity pool with a view of the ocean. The resort staff & manager were super friendly and helpful -- recommending restaurants, snorkel spots, & arranging our rental scooter with pick-up/drop-off at the resort.

I recently stayed at this resort, having booked 4 nights in the 3 bedroom villa. We arrived at your facility at 12pm knowing that checkin was not until 2pm so we decided to have lunch in the restaurant, of which we were advised that a number of items that were not available from the menu which was rather disappointing. After finishing lunch, my wife and I went to book some time in the sauna only to be told that this was not available and would not be for the duration of our stay due to termites. In addition to this, the treadmill at the gym was also not working (please be mindful that the picture they have of the gym are not of their facility either). The manager then came and advised us of all the issues and that checkin would be longer than normal and that lunch would be on the hotel which was great and we were thankful off as we did not expect this. Unfortunately we weren't able to check in to our room until 3.30 pm but that was only into the lounge area which was full of flies(our rooms weren't ready for at least another 1hr). We had both breakfast and dinner throughout our stay, and for so much on your menu to not be available was quite embarrassing, to say the least. (I can say that I felt sorry for the staff having to advise us of the unavailability each time) We did have the Christmas dinner, which was fantastic along with the entertainment. The only suggestion would be to cater to children on the menu. The pool was also not maintained as it was green with algae. We had intended on staying for 4 nights but did not stay as per booked just due to lack of care for the facility and the real lack of care of the facility. I also feel sorry for the staff that are there as they are also not trained from what I believe is poor management. I would like to say that it is in a fantastic location, so I could/would recommend it if only the upkeep was done and the team was better trained and more of them.

Lovely villa lovely location. We would visit here again Pool villa all the spa staff and restaurant staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Reception was a bit hit and miss depending who you spoke to some staff on reception very helpful one not so much! Charged me twice for the room then refunded me later which was a little bit annoying. Location was Great food at the Griya was also very good. We extended our stay by a few days which was also a bit complicated but we managed in the end. Although the price quoted was higher than the online price... not too sure why. Pool lovely villas lovely some areas could do with a little maintenance but all in all a great place to stay and we would visit again. Would reccomend all in all. Warung Sabar just down the road also had some Great food only two minutes walk! And Mini Mart just round the corner.

So many Millipedes. Can find them literally everywhere!! Even in the bedroom, showeroom and Pool!!. It seems that the hotel does not care much about them, which is more frustrating. Secondly, not enough hot water in the shower room. Once you use hot water for shower for a little time, you will run out of hot water!! This is not 5 star hotel at all. Plus, horrible internet connection there.

Had a 2 night stay here, we touched down at 7pm and traveled 3.5hrs. We were welcomed with a delightful drinks at reception and a sandwich snack which tide us over till morning breakfast which includes two mains, coffee and a juice of your choice. We checked in late at night and couldn’t see our view but was very happy with the morning sunrise :) after looking around the neighbouring hotels and villas we really knew we lucked out at booking this accommodation, peaceful and beautiful.

My wife and I stayed at the Griya at the end of our beautiful Honeymoon in Bali to enjoy the fantastic snorkeling in Amed and to prepare for the return journey home. First off, the Griya is an absolutely stunning resort, its location, in the still not-too-touristy Amed was such a respite from Ubud and Seminyak! The villa we stayed in was private, clean, and had stunning views of Lipah beach from the private pool and bed! The resort amenities were nothing to ignore either, the food was delectable and was available throughout the day at convenient hours, the spa was honestly the best massage (deep tissue specifically) either my wife or I experienced in Bali, and the staff were incredibly friendly and kind. The only downside was the mosquitoes. There were a LOT of mosquitoes and in the 1-bedroom villa, the restroom and shower are open air it was difficult to stay un-bitten. Fortunately, the resort provided ample mosquito spray so we never felt that it detracted from our experience. We could not recommend staying at the Griya enough and look forward to coming back soon for a longer stay to enjoy the resort and the amazing snorkeling Amed has to offer!

I only ate here and enjoyed the pool but the mushroom pasta was very good and the chair loungers very comfortable. Has beautiful views. I will go back.

The Griya Villas and Spa is absolutely fantastic and it’s one of the best places we’ve ever stayed at!! Our experience was so amazing we wish we had more time to stay longer!! Firstly, location location location! It’s situated in Amed - which is truly a hidden gem of Bali. Minimal tourists, lovely local people and beautiful beaches with lots of opportunities for snorkeling and diving. The resort is only a walking-distance away (10min walk) from Lipah beach. You can also easily get to Jemeluk Beach and the Japanese Shipwreck in 10-15min by hiring a scooter/car from the resort. There are lots of surrounding restaurants with authentic and well-priced Balinese food. The Heavens Gate, Water Temple and local Rice Fields are also 30min drive/ride away from the resort. The villas themselves are absolutely stunning with contemporary decor incorporating traditional Balinese motifs. But the best of all is the breathtaking views of the ocean, moutains, daily sunrise and a clear night sky full of stars you can access from your own villa. All of which you can also enjoy from the luxury of your own infinity pool! Last but not least, the restaurant makes delicious food and cocktails!! Every dish was cooked to perfection - we were very impressed by the in-house chefs! The staff are excellent - professional, friendly and helpful at all times! The resort also offers yoga classes, Balinese dance performances and many options for short or full day trips which are very reasonably priced. All in all, we only have praises for Griya Villas and Spa. We will definitely go back and would highly recommend this amazing resort to anyone visiting Bali!!

This was my favourite hotel we stayed at in Bali. The villas are amazing, very spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. We barely left the hotel because we liked it so much. The room service and restaurant are very good and have the best 5-7 happy hour that we used every night. We were also able to arrange transportation to our next destination through the front desk and when I was feeling a bit sick they had a solution. Thank you so much to the team at the Griya!

Nice location and views, spacious villas. Villa needs a lot of reparations, shower or doors didn' t work properly, not very clean. Aircon in master bedroom stinks. Servis is the biggest issue. We paid 3 mil. for NYE, we came at 9 and at 10 all food was gone. Paid water for breakfast, missing ingrediences etc. Amed is great for divers.

Beautiful hotel, even better staff. Villa 11, which we occupied, is extraordinary with its private infinity pool, its two spacious bedrooms (including their dedicated bathroom for each, exceptional) and its large common living room with kitchen. The view is relaxing. And at night, shooting stars bead. It is magic. The environment is calm. The magnificent bar like the swimming pool. The spa is worth a visit. A constantly attentive and caring team. The breakfast is in finesse as for all the culinary services. A huge thank you to the whole team for your smiles, your welcome and your kindness. Exceptional place to discover. In the surroundings, warungs (small restaurants) accessible. difficult to leave this establishment to discover the rest of Bali

We were staying down the street, came here for lunch and immediately rebooked our stay for here. I mean a private pool with views like this is really hard to beat. So beautiful and the staff are all so lovey. Can’t wait to come back!

5 stars for the rooms, the views and the location of the Hotel. The service is beyond horrible. The waiters have no idea what’s missing in the kitchen. You will be given the menu ( after 20 minutes of waiting) they will take the order and come back 15 minutes later to tell you that they no longer have what you order. This can happen over several items you might order. And i am not talking about exotic items, but available things like fresh coconut or pinapple. Not worth its 5 stars.

We had a fantastic stay at the Griya. The scenery is simply amazing. The private pools with sea view, top class. The staff was very friendly and professional.

I have visited this place for cooking classes and I could not be more satisfied. I asked for vegetarian menu and the proposition prepared for the classes fully met my expectations. Chef Budi is very friendly and open person, patiently answering all the questions. I felt very comfortable the whole time. If cooking is your thing, it's really worth treating yourself with classes at The Griya for unique holiday memories.

I will be dreaming about this place for years to come. Our villa with a private pool was absolutely incredible. We loved every second of it (and we've stayed in some beautiful places around the world). The service was top notch. Breakfast was delicious and had a ton of options. The included pick up and drop off was also a huge benefit since Amed is quite far from the airport and other popular places. My only recommendation is to rent snorkel gear from a scuba shop as theirs is expensive and very poor quality. I'll definitely be back here again! It's fabulous and I loved every second it

This resort is absolutely beautiful with stunning views. I was looking for a month long rental but found the 3M a day price tag to be a bit of splurge. Though tempting, I couldn't responsibly invest in this full service retreat. The spa has EVERYTHING! The restaurant on the premises is just yummy, yummy, yummy and the lobby is gorgeous. Go for a day, stay for a week.

👍👍 Review of the warung, not the accomodation. We ate at Warung Eneak twice while staying in Amed. We had excellent tuna steaks, nasi campur and - my absolute recommendation - the rendang sandwich.
