Great experience here! We actually didn't sleep. We were just a large family looking for a base camp for the day: a place to eat, rest, go snorkeling, and all this with 2 small girls. We arrived here by pure luck and were treated like hotel guests. We could take a large table, drop our stuff, go swimming in the sea and even use the hotel's shower and swimming pool before we ordered a single thing. Then of course we ate, drank and had massages but we never felt compelled to do anything.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights this past month. We loved that our room was right on the water and had a private patio. The owner and his wife have a very well run hotel with a/several very talented chefs. The food was consistently outstanding. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I love the relaxed atmosphere. Two suggestions - increase the water pressure in the shower (which the owner was happy to do when we told him it was weak) and expand the playlist a bit. After 5 days it became a little repetitive. My favorite hotel so far on our trip. The management is available and invested in your experience of their small boutique hotel. Thumbs up all around! Again, the food was great.

We ate at Nalini Resort twice and the food was excellent. We also met the owner who was gracious enough to invite us into his home and show us around the location. What I did not enjoy what witnessing the rather cruel treatment of their cows. They are tied up in such a manner that they are not be able to move at all. As animal lovers, my partner and I found this exceptionally difficult to watch. We did ask the owner about this and did not receive an explanation for this type of mistreatment. We understand that cows in Bali are generally tied up on very short ropes and believe this is an outdated practice that needs to be reconsidered. With more and more international visitors coming, we don’t believe this serves the reputation of any hotel and ask the owner of Nalini Resort to reconsider how they keep their animals. We understand this is your livelihood, but you could build them a basic pen rather them restricting all their movement. As per our conversation, we are still happy to offer financial assistance to build a basic pen so they cows can at least turn around and fight insects away. We respect tradition; however, you are also part of a new generation, and we ask you to move away from traditions that are cruel to animals. We politely ask again if you can change this? Or what can we do to help you get this done? Patricia & Nick

Nalini resort is a little slice of heaven on earth, with great rooms, awesome food, incredible location and good value. The thing that truly makes it 5 stars though is the people. Ari and the team are so friendly, professional and helpful and they really make you feel like family. Have stayed twice now and will be back many more times.

I cannot tell you how fantastic the staff were & the hotel restaurant food was SO delicious! We ate all but 3 of our meals there over a 5 day stay. Ari and the team couldn't have been more helpful (we did lots of different activities and outings) and the view from our room was absolutely gorgeous. The cocktails were delicious too!

This place is amazing. We booked for two nights and immediately booked another. The resort is right on the ocean. About 10 meters from the coral. The rooms are large and very comfortable and the bathroom is amazing. The food is exceptional. Fresh and lots of care is taken to make sure it's just right. We ate well. It's very relaxing and quiet here. Also the staff are so friendly and keen to help. What a great stay.

Absolutely amazing stay once again. The accomodation, staff, food, surrounds and service are second to none. Nalini is our home away from home in Bali and we love going to stay with our Nalini family.

Excellent experience. The location is beautiful with nearby spots for sunset view, snorkeling and mountain hikes. In the morning you can see the sunrise right in front of your room window. The hotel is right at the beach with a beautiful swimming pool. The room was big, spacious and very clean, with an amazing private outdoors shower. All the staff is kind, nice and very friendly. They will do everything you need to make you feel comfortable and make sure you enjoy your days at Nalini. The restaurant is excellent. Very good cooks, mixing traditional Balinese and western cuisine. They also offer excellent massages right at the hotel. We did also their snorkeling trip and used their very nice and convenient taxi service. We would definitely repeat everything with them.

This has a high rating on booking-dot-com, and for good reason. Away from the main drag of Amed, tucked away in a secluded bay, it’s a fabulous family-run boutique venture with great views over to Lombok, wonderful staff, a quality vibe and a fabulous restaurant on site. Perfect chill time. If I was wealthier , I would have stayed longer 😉

Literally right on the beach, step into the ocean for snorkeling right at your doorstep. Friendly staff and locals and good food from the hotel restaurant. Nice pool, most of the time we were the only guests. Get an elevated ocean view room and watch fishing boats head out in the morning and return. Really feels like being in nature. Great local warungs too but we found a scooter essential. On the downside the snorkeling gear for hire is not good, a shame given the reef literally at the front door.

Our four night stay at the Nilani was the most amazing experience. The Nilani is a small (8 rooms) but idyllic resort about 8km from the fishing village of Amed. It is owned and operated by a beautiful traditional Balinese family with Ari and his lovely wife Januari at the helm. We didn’t want to leave the resort as the food was amazing (shoutout to chef Wayan), we enjoyed cocktails by the pool and also the most amazing massages in the beautiful outdoor spa (I miss your hands Wayan). We woke up every morning to the most amazing sunrise and watched the fishing boats come into the beach. We enjoyed snorkeling the reef which is metres from the shore and includes a ship wreck. The rooms are beautiful with romantic lighting and a net canopy around the comfy large bed. It was such a treat to shower in the outdoor bathroom. We can’t wait to come back here but will be staying much longer. Will be highly recommendin the Nilani to all our family and friends who want an authentic Balinese experience away from the crowds

We came here for snorkling and ended up eating at Nalini and it was the best food for us in Bali. Highly recommended! The staff was very very nice also!

Wow what can I say, this place is absolutely beautiful. We were booked to stay at another place and our driver organised for the manager of Nalini to meet us there to organise some snorkeling and fishing trips, when we arrived to our other location that was booked and paid for they had given our room to someone else and were fully booked. Luckily Nalini had a room available and he took us there. They looked after is like family, organised our snorkeling trip which picked us up by boat right from the beach in front of the resort. The food is next level delicious and the room and grounds are beautiful, clean and modern. My son said it was his favourite place if our trip. You can snorkel right from the front if the resort. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Do yourself a favour and definitely book a stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

We loved nalini resort! We were only able to stay here for 1 night, but it was so comfortable, air conditioning was perfect, bed was very comfortable! Beautiful pool and restaurant is right on the ocean. The staff are so lovely, helpful, and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again!

Brilliant place to stay. Coral Gardens right at edge of picturesque dining area. 100m from Japanese Shipwreck dive site. Been here half dozen times and will always come back. Ari and Januari are great hosts and can help with any tours or advice.

We had an amazing time at Nalini Resort. We got a free upgrade to one of the sea view rooms, which we really enjoyed. We ended up having all our meals at the restaurant because they were absolutely amazing. The entire staff is really kind. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Bali. The place is also a great spot to do snorkeling.

Nalini resort is a little piece of heaven! Fantastic peaceful location right on the water and with a great restaurant. It is run by a lovely family and they can also arrange excursions such as a trip on a fishing boat at sunset and an Indonesian cookery lesson which was great. There is also a little spa where we had great massages. The resort is very close to some incredible snorkelling, you can hire equipment. We didn't leave for 4 days! Very relaxing.

Shear bliss! I forgot all my worries and reset my life at Nalini. This was my best holiday ever. This place is special, it's boutique. Everything is of high standard - the rooms, the food (OMG the food is to die for), cleanliness, service, the pool, etc. but it's not like a chain hotel, it is much more personal. What makes it even more special is the people. At Nalini I was looked after by smiling, friendly, happy, welcoming people that simply made me feel at home. By the end of my stay I felt like I was part of the family. Nalini is at Amed, a fishing village, where the pace of life is slow and relaxing. The resort is right by the beach with the constant sound of the surf and a gentle warm breeze. This is a place to come to really unwind. You won't regret it. Try the snorkelling, the cocktails, the massages (they are amazing), the pool of course. And the food, did I mention the food... there's something for everyone and it is beautifully presented and very very tasty. The tuna was my favourite and they even made gluten free bread for me.

I cannot speak highly enough of Nalini Resort. My husband and I spent the most wonderful and memorable week there and we couldn't fault a thing. The location is amazing with incredible views of the sunrise every morning and the ability to go snorkelling and swimming in the sea only a few steps away. The staff are so friendly. Nothing is a bother to them and always with a smile. The food that came out of the restaurant kitchen was out of this world! Top class chef. Our room was a dream come true along with our beautiful outdoor bathroom. I have never had a more relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Every day swimming in the delightful Nalini Resort swimming pool and a daily massage a stone's throw away from the pool. If you want a relaxing holiday but also the ability to see the true Bali then Amed and Nalini Resort is the place to go. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Nalini.
