Too remote. Very far away from the centre of Amed and the road to get there is not easy to ride/drive/walk. There is a main road separating the villas with the reception/dinner area which makes it unsafe and not a pleasant experience. Also very very noisy. The villas are not well isolated, next to them there is a farm or housing with lots of animals such as chicken, dogs, horses etc which make noise during the night. Also fire is burnt in the neighbourhood and comes to the room. Zero privacy. The staff just enters the room and the garden without asking or knocking. Several times I had to cover myself when I was changing in the room because staff just came to our terrace without asking/checking. Staff is more busy chatting with each other instead of giving their all for their guests. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Very caring team creating a customer atmosphere with Thai perfection with a perfect view. I enjoyed very much my stay here and the gorgeous view on the fisher boats in the morning. If you like cats you will find that they also enjoy the good food here. I can really recommend to stay at Blue Moon Villas. But be prepared that it is a little bit outside the center, a scooter is a very helpful here.

The staff was very friendly and willing to help you get anything you might need during your stay. Amazing ocean front views with a great infinity pool.

Frankly speaking, can't understand the reviews this hotel has. There are many red flags here that are worth mentioning: * Some people of the staff entered the room just like that. No questions asked, they either knocked the door and opened it or they creeped in through the backyard. Needless to say that several times they caught us getting dressed and such. This sole thing made us feel super unsafe and insecure. For the ones who've seen the movie 'Get out', well, you get the picture, * The pool is not really private. It seems to be somewhat private but is actually shared amongst the villas, * Really poor isolation, u can hear everything and everyone. Cars passing by, farm animals, people talking, u name it, * Breakfast mid at best, * No soap, yeah, no soap in the bathroom, * The hotel is REALLY remote, and also the villas are separated from the reception by a road, so I don't really think that the 'resort' is kids friendly, * The safe was closed and they gave us the wrong instructions on how to open it. Some guy fixed it for us, but the moment we used it again, got jammed once again, * The wifi, specially in the rooms, was crazy slow and unstable. Overall, a not pleasant stay at all, the hotel staff just seem indifferent, more interested in talking amongst themselves than checking on the guests. The place has potential, but as of now, just that.

I almost had to hesitate recommending this place. It’s so magic I almost don’t want it found. That said I have to share since it’s the right thing to do. If you like it then please only tell your favourite friends to keep it as it is. Truly a gem in Amed. The food, location and service are almost second to none in the area.

We had a great time at blue moon villas. It is one of the best hotels in the area, although make sure to check the room you would like to book as they have very different types. They have different pools and views to the sea, which makes the place extremely relaxing. The food and service is just excellent! Some rooms could be renovated but they are clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and I would definitely be back again.

Beautiful place, Very comfortable and clean room, nice staff. The pancake breakfast could be improved in terms of quantity, to be at the same level at the American breakfast. At the entrance on the road, They say "say no to plastic, let's preserve our oceans", but in the rooms they put plastic bottles and at the restaurant they serve plastic straws.. Quite uncoherent and disappointing. So easy to put glass bottles that you can refill with your gallon for each new costumer, and to provide bamboo/metal straw, or no straws at all (you will see, you still can drink your juice without straw...).

Direct access to snorkelling in-front of the Villas was superb, amazing fish life, 30m visibility and beautiful coral. Otherwise we upgraded from the upper Queen room as it was quite crowded in and the view was greatly interrupted, to the lower level room, which was very nice. The pool was also very nice on the lower level as you're right on top of the ocean. Breakfast is not included but overall it's a very nice vibe and Villa.

We had a lovely experience position amazing and relatively a quiet spot We loved the ambience and for us a great getaway however just a few little hiccups with the wifi cutting in and out became annoying food from the restaurant was really quite good and kutuk was very obliging and served us a great dinner on the balcony of our villa also breakfast there was average definitely room for improvement had to buy our own milk to make a decent cafe late but overall we absolutely loved the peace and quiet and view just unforgettable

Great beach nearby for snorkeling and beautiful pool view (though a bit more shade in the garden might be nice). Service is extremely friendly and helpful. For most things in the area (restaurants, stores) you'd need a vehicle of some kind though.

Such a lovely staff, especially Neni. Not such a big pools, but nice, clear, warm water. Rooms are decorated in Bali's style.

I love it here. It is very peaceful ☺️ our room is so comfortable and Seaview. I had lots of bad experiences via local restaurants in Bali but here in this resort they have really good decent food! The lady speaks really well English. They are great at communicating and servicing. Quiet area but pretty spot not too far from Japanese wreck diving spot. You can rent a scooter here and hotel helps you with everything you need. It makes our stay a lot easier. :)

This villa on the east coast of Bali is a must-visit if you're looking for a relaxing holiday. The rooms, hotel facilities and food are exceptional, and the villa offers breathtaking views of the ocean, sunrise, sunset and, on a clear day, Lombok, Indonesia. The staff is incredibly friendly and is always willing to go above and beyond to make their guests happy. Whether you're looking to relax or explore all that east-Bali has to offer, this villa is the perfect base. With friendly service, stunning surroundings and great amenities, it's no wonder that this villa is a favourite amongst travellers to Bali.

A simple place with a beautiful view. There aren't many guests now and that's a plus, because if guests weren't cosy for three houses in one pool. Breakfast was simple. We had breakfast. I ordered muesli in a day and staff told me that they don’t have yoghurt. So if you don't have anything in stock, it's better to warn guests right away. And so, in general, everything is fine.

I love this place so much! Stayed in the Blue Ocean room, which was big and comfortable. Service is excellent and the food was very healthy, in very generous portions as well. Will stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed one week at Blue moon in one of the Angel villas. A wonderful view straight out to sea and a pool right off the verandah. The restaurant serves excellent food and the staff are really helpful.

We stayed at the blue star penthouse which was seriously the best room in the whole resort. Staff were 10/10 nice. Views were unreal. Would be great if the resort could organise complimentary shuttle bus to to encourage guests to explore more. Very memorable stay!

Fantastic communication and good value for money. Rooms are a bit dated, bedding reminds me of grandmas house.

My husband and I are currently staying at the wonderful Blue Moon Villas. We are so relaxed, looking out at an exceptional view and sleeping very well in the beautiful room each night. The staff are all amazing people who genuinely care and offer their guests kindness and an impeccable service where no request has been impossible... They have gone above and beyond to accommodate and welcome us. We ate incredibly fresh and delicious Indonesian food at Komang Johns for the first time last night... It was clearly prepared with love and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. From the complimentary homemade bread roll with garlic butter - to a wholesome Nasi Goreng with Fried Chicken and Chicken Satay with the best sauce and flavour and a side of healthy, tasty steamed vegetables... We were both very impressed and have no hesitation in recommending and supporting this simple, yummy restaurant, the villa and the exceptional people working here - that make the place what it is.

Big room, breakfast not buffet, big outdoor shower, the room not too clean, but still good for sleep coz it’s quiet neighborhood, there’s 2 pools, and you must booked the private villa if you want infinity pool like in their profile picture. The big minus is there’s lots of cockroach in room. Lots of mosquito too.

Rooms had a great view of the sea. Hotel was in Mediterranean style but nice bathrooms and balconies overlooking the sea. Location was a bit off from Amed & Shipwreck and there were no restaurants nearby. Staff was quite helpful though

Rooms don't match description at all, room's bathroom was really dirty infested by ants and cockroach, staff at the restaurant were rude except for Sumani.

The restaurant service is poor. The waitress brought a dirty coffee cup. And served a pot of coffee to other table first even I came early than other table. Without the apology. Stayed in blue moon villa for two nights. House keeping service is great. But the restaurant service is poor. The villa is not look like as photos they provided in booking.com. In term of service, I will not come back again. It is one star service.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Moon Villas. The suite with the view of the pool and beach is lovely and the staff are very friendly. We had a very nice typical Indonesian breakfast and the staff helped us organise everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend!
