I definitely don't recommend it. We stayed in this place for 2 nights and unfortunately we changed the room twice during the two nights. In the first one, the air conditioning was leaking, it looks like this problem has been going on for a long time. in the second one, the air conditioning worked not so good - set to 16 degrees, it was unable to cool the room during a night. Every room has a dirt and some kind of damage on the walls, the smell is terrible, both from the bathroom and the air conditioners. I think the attached photos reflect the condition of this place. Very nice hotel staff and a view.

I stayed at Camessa for 3 nights (July 2020). DO NOT STAY HERE. The pool and outdoor seating area is actually quite nice — literally right on the beach. However, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in Bali. The room was smelly (like sewage), the breakfast was horrible, but the worst part was the service. For example, the staff suggested we just keep the windows open to fix the smell. The banana fritters were stale. The banana pancakes were under cooked. There was a problem with the plumbing so the sewage smell would just waft through your room even with the bathroom door closed. The room next door had the same issue. The bed was broken. The main cross beam was broken in half. Someone had tried to fix it with some wire (like from a coat hanger). We had to take the mattress off and sleep on the floor. So the smell, the bed, and the food were all horrible, and the bathroom was not very clean, but to add to that the customer service was worse. All the staff would say is “we are sorry and we will call the owner.” But they did not offer to fix anything, or offer a free breakfast or anything to try and make it better. Looking now I see there are similar reviews of this place from 6 months ago. The owner has responded to those reviews saying they would fix the issues. Clearly they have not. There are so many options in Amed. This one is not worth it.

I stay for one night and booking thru online aplication. I came very late but the staff still available to help for checkin. It was very quiet at the evening unlike other hotel or villa located near those noisy cafe. So eventhough the bed is not that soft but i had a great sleep.whats good about this hotel is the morning view. The magnificent view of mount Agung and the beach line of Amed beach from the balcony is something that will stay in your head for quite some times.

Breathtaking views from the moment you walk in! From the lobby, the pool, the rooms—gorgeous and peaceful sea views! One of the most caring and attentive managers I’ve had in Bali. Centrally located—can walk to everything or snorkel from “your” beachfront. Will stay here again!

We stayed two nights in CAMESSA HOTEL and we had room #2. So our feedback is on the hotel in general and room #2. Good points: +Nice pool +Good food +wide room +ocean view Bad points: -Multiple Blood on the mattress -Bathroom smells like sewerage (They installed a room fragrance to cover it, but doesn‘t work) -Water tap was broken -Light switch was broken -Mold in the bathroom and some furnitures -AC is not working like it should (Temperature is not cooling down the whole room) -Bed is squeaking like hell with every movement We got no feedback on our messages which we send after the first night to the management. During the checkout after two nights we had intense discussion with the receptionists and the owner. They didn’t want to understand the problems and were arguing with lots of guests and missing staff. But these problems are the result of years without any kind of maintenance. Maybe the pictures will tell more about the hotel. Fairness we have to say, that at the end the owner gave us a discount for our nights. So in total, our experience with this hotel was a total disaster.

Loved our stay here! This is our second stay here. Breakfast was lovely, location is perfect. You can just walk right into the beach and the ocean from your hotel. Very quiet and clean!

Very disappointing accommodation. We stayed in a standard room. The staff were lovely but unfortunately the rooms were not of a standard that we were comfortable to stay. We booked 3 nights but left after 1 and went elsewhere. - The bathroom is abominable and smells terrible. - There is nowhere to put clothes or to place a suitcase. - The air conditioner is not over the bed and did not work well. - There is no fridge in the rooms. Pictures to demonstrate the rooms which are in serious need of some maintenance. The poor staff were so apologetic. The only good thing about this hotel is the incredible view and a great location. It is a very missed opportunity. We moved to the SeaMount hotel for the same price (last minute booking) and it is very luxurious in comparison.

Truly a hidden gem in Amed. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, the rooms are always spotlessly clean and you genuinely cannot beat the location. If you do end up staying here, say hi to the little ginger kitties for me. They love a little wet food snack (just saying)

I didn't stay here but I did meet one of the local men that works there called Putu. He is the most friendly, kind hearted and helpful person I have come across. From just chatting on the beach I decided to have lunch at the hotel. He cooked me a delicious Mie goreng and allowed me to sit by the pool on the sun lounge. He showed me where to snorkel and look for turtles, which I did end up seeing. He also has a tour guide business and would highly reccommend using him for your tour. He wants to give his customers the best price with the best service. The rooms at the hotel also look very nice and I'm sure it is a lovely place to stay.

We came here for one night as we wanted to stay one more day in Amed and our current homestay was full. We do not recommend it at all. First the room was not really clean.. there were dead flies and other mosquitoes in the shower. Dust on the floor. The sheet were old , scratched with holes in it and not 100% clean. The roof of the bedroom was all cracked. And they were electrical bare cable unconnected to te plug on the wall... The handle of the bathroom and toilet door was not working so I had been stuck inside as I could not open the door... I had to ask it several times to have I repaired which they finally did. Finally, you have to walk on the wet shower floor to go to the toilet and the bed are quite old and noisy. The swimming pool looked ok but we did not tried it. For the same price or cheaper you can get way better in Amed (even 100m down the road).

Camessa Hotel is absolutely wonderful ! It is on the beach, and you can see both sunset and sunrise from your terrace, and also Mount Agung. The smimming pool and breakfast are really great. You can order delicious milkshake, drinks, ice cream, french fries,... when you're next to the pool, and service is fast. All the staff is extremly kind and listening, I loved this hotel !

Excelent location for sunrise and sunset, spacious rooms all facing the sea. Nice pool area in front of Amed beach. The restaurant was not working but there are plenty of option nearby. The staff was nice and kind.

UNBEATABLE VALUE FOR MONEY, OFFERED WITH A SINCERE SMILE I cannot fault this little gem of hotel. Stayed in a Standard Room which made the impression it was recently refurbished. The bedroom is beautiful, while the bathroom had better days but hey, hot water and pressure were both full on, so what else you want? For the price you will not find a better place to stay in the area. The Standard Rooms offer a HUGE (about 40 sqm) terrace where you look straight onto the beach, Mount Agung and have your own observation deck for sunrise and sunset. All my pictures were taken from the terrace or right in front of the hotel. BONUS point if you like to snorkel, one of the best reefs is right in front of the hotel. Enter straight and snorkel / freedive your way towards East, and you will enjoy a long stretch of fantastic underwater world. Thank you Pak Mandu, Ibu Nyoman and all the other amazing staff, I had a great time and will be happy to stay with you again whenever my travels lead me back to Amed. Stay well!

Right on the beach, quiet. The rooms are spacious and clean. Has AC. No TV but I loved the serenity of it. There is many walking distance tours and food including an amazing vegan place called tropikal cafe. Ocean view, mount agung view. Pool is amazing.

The hotel is more like an ordinary accommodation facility in Amed. The plus is the beach location is right in front of it so the view from inside the room is quite extraordinary and the hotel has car parking facilities. Air conditioning and water heater are standard facilities, but the capacity for the water heater is so small that the hot water runs out quickly. In the room there is no refrigerator, safe and electronic kettles. For restaurants in general the taste of cuisine is standard, may be less suitable to the taste of the Indonesian people because the seasoning is rather less. But I think the cuisine suits the taste of westerners. The beach sand is rather rocky but we managed to find some blue and white ornamental fishes at the time of snorkeling. You can also ask the hotel staff for assistance when renting snorkeling equipment.

Overpriced, disappointing hotel. Booked 3 rooms a 3 night family getaway. Only stayed one night. Rooms all very disappointing. Linens clean but stained. A/C ineffective, no fans. Bathrooms not well cleaned with slimey floors. One bathroom had broken drain cover, so open drain with terrible sewerage smell. Room doors are all cracked and warped making A/C ineffective. Staff were always friendly and attentative. Pool tiles were slimey. Location & views are great. Place in need of renovations and repairs. In room fridge needed
