As Bali is the place where you often choose hotel/property by its owner, you would definitely need to book this one for sure. During one of the nights in Amed I had a motorcycle incident which resulted in serious injuries and thanks to the hotel owner, Amanda, who provided me a driver to get me to to hospital. Nyoman also helped with buying medicine and translation, and even managed to repair my bike. THANK YOU AGAIN! And drive safely in Amed, not like me:) So now coming to the general part of the review, Amanda did provide the largest room available upon my request and I honestly loved the experience of moving between different rooms during my stay. I think, if you are planning to come back, like me, this is an ideal way to find out which room to book in advance for future stay. All the rooms were perfectly clean and looking amazing. All the hotel photos are 100% true, which I did not expect. Very bright and relaxing atmosphere. I will mention again - 100% correlation to the photos you will find. Location itself is very attractive and strategic in terms of getting to beach or downtown very quickly. They also have a parking and swimming pool. These hotel is very animals friendly, as I understood 😅 Kitchen in hotel is very good + I have been offered to join free BBQ party! If felt like this place was simply begging me to stay more🤗 Value for $ = 10 out of 10! Staff: all tried to and did provide an amazing service. Disadvantages: I have to admit the noise coming from the bikes on the street at night, however, this is a normal practice in Bali - bikes are everywhere:) But for hotel like this is there is only one place - be sure to find it🫶

Very nice place, staff are so friendly and very helpful. Also it’s a good location to get to Lipah beach, the best snorkeling place and it is just down to water, you will see millions fish and beautiful coral. We really enjoyed our stay here.

If you’re visiting Amed then you need to stay here, right in front of lipah beach which is one of the best snorkelling spots. Our room offered a beautiffful sea view, we had a spacious and clean room. The staff at bayu are so accommodating and looked after us very well during our stay. In a great location and great value. This is our favourite place in Amed. Views are amazing, especially at sunset. Lipah beach is like a 2-minute walk – super close. And if you like snorkeling, it's the best here. It's just easy, laid-back, and exactly what we like.

Awesome place with view of the sea, can hear the waves at night. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms have everything needed, Powerful AC/Hot Water/mini fridge/ clean. I came here with my wife and daughter of <1. Also breakfast was great. I recommend it.

A piece of paradise in Amed Just spent a week at the Kepala Cottage with my girlfriend and the place was a true paradise, beyond all expectations! Cozy bungalows, super friendly staff, delicious healthy food, a swimming pool surrounded by a lush garden with trees, flowers, beautiful statues and burning incenses making an amazing spiritual atmosphere, a yoga shala, a spa with high quality massage and to top it off the owners are always around checking to see if everything is running smooth. Last time we stayed at Bayu Cottages was in 2010, and before was sometime in 2005. Haven't been there since. Both time stayed there, always had a good time, staff were all nice, room were always cleaned and decorated with the frangipanis from their garden. Fresh juice for the welcome drink... (I meant it by fresh juice! Nice too!) If I could choose, I'd rather like the old style of Bayu Cottages.. with wooden door to the balcony, all natural, and feels home and local... and quiet because no telephone nor telly. All you need for a short holiday before going back to the hectic J-town.

Room was good but when we stay there the noise it just endless. The other night in the middle of the night there's someone try to open our door over and over. I wonder who is that. When I told about that story to the staff and I asked please find out who did that by checking on their cctv but I got no respon from anyone not even an apology or anything, they just forget it. I order some food, and clearly told them 'Please I want my eggs well done' when it comes isn't even close to my request, I had to send it back and ask to make it well done and again they make it half well done. So I think that's what their perception is. Btw overall was OK, but I won't comeback.

Nice, clean room - modern furniture. If you book it via booking its without breakfast. Great location and breathtaking view. I give 4/5 because (female) staff wasnt very friendly. Especialy one woman never replied to our Hello, just stare into her mobile phone and was really unfriendly. When you have room n. 1 staff also sometimes come to our balcony and we heard them all the time (they sit on stairs next to our room)
