A couple of issues around the Manager being aggressive and rude towards my wife here. Yes, she did book dives in March when we originally booked. However, when she confirmed the accommodation in July, there was zero confirmation of the Dives, only the accommodation. So we arranged another as you would do. Like the managers explanation, we too are not mind readers. This left the manager verbally abusive towards my wife on the phone. Managers response below on how he was triggered!!! People make mistakes as she said and owned to be called a blatant liar, beggars belief and good manners. " We can’t read minds, but when people confirm their stay, that means everything that was booked, unless it’s written differently. What triggered me, was that your wife was blatantly lying" Aggressive behaviour towards a female is unacceptable anywhere at any time unless you are a French male it seems. It actually had my wife in tears back in the room. On reflection, I should have cancelled the entire accommodation but unfortunately I was sick at the time. So She ended up doing a double Dive with the resort to which they placed a total 9 divers and gear in one Suzuki truck.. overloaded and the guide left the water before the divers..... Very poor reflection on the professionalism of the resort. Won't be back, nor recommended.

Truly amazing location. We stayed here to do our open water scuba course, training was just behind in Bali reef diving. Rooms were clean, cool and pointed out to sea. Staff were super friendly and knew all the answers to our questions. But the best thing was you can wade 10 m out to sea and you amongst some great coral. Right there!! Sting rays, eels loads of fish. Amazing!

The resort was perfect for getting a dive certification since Bali Reef Divers is connected to the property. They were easy to coordinate with over WhatsApp and answered all my questions about the dives. They arranged transport to and from the resort, and even very generously arranged for quick trips to Amed centre since I didn’t have a scooter. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The AC works very well, there’s a kettle and instant coffee and tea. The room I was in had a large balcony as well, overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was very filling. Eggs, bread, pancake, fruit, juice and coffee. There are two good size outdoor pools as well. Things to note (but not necessarily downsides): The resort isn’t in the main area of Amed, there are 3-4 restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk but most things are about a 10 minute scooter ride from the resort. This was never an issue, the restaurants nearby are very good. Food is definitely pricier at the resort compared to options outside.

Very pretty, well kept grounds. Snorkeling directly off the beach here is also surprisingly nice (100m or so offshore). Pools are nice. Staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast was also very nice. Just misses out on the final star as our room was getting a bit dated - bed very squeaky & shower floor is pretty slippery.

Great place to stay and dive! Room was spacious and clean! The view from our room or from the pool were impeccable. Really relaxing to just chill by the pool. Service was really welcoming and attentive. The massage from this resort was also nice, and sometimes fully booked, so reservation a day ahead is recommended!

Great place to stay! Clean beautiful common areas. Clean rooms. Great breakfast too. The shower gel in the bathroom did smell bad and the air conditioner wasnt strong enough to fully cool the Bungalow, but overall fantastic. Would definitely recommend for staying and diving in Amed Bali.

Could not have wished for a better place in amed. The view on the sea in incredibly relaxing. The food and staff is great. The rooms are simple but the bed comfortable. Snorkeling and scuba diving are possible

I’ve been here 10 years ago to learn scuba. The scuba lessons were top notch. Back then I didn’t notice much about the room as i was out more for diving. Anyway this time after 10year it’s seems that the room need to be updated. When we check in the water did not drain in the shower but they came and clean the drainage so it drained abit better. The shower was super slow and it’s so hard to wash my long curly hair or even my whole body to be honest. While the room is generally clean, a lot need to be updated. I think the carpet is there since forever cos the color looks ancient so that needs to be changed. A lot of mosquito in the area as well as there’s a lot of un maintained ponds around the resort. Location is excellent. You can even snorkel in front of resort. Breakfast was so so. Just simple bread and eggs and fruits. Only great was the French butter. Definitely need to update the room, the shower need more water pressure and need to maintain the pond to lessen mosquito.

Perfect hotel for those who want to dive or just relax. The dive shop is just next to the hotel entrance and the spa is on-premise. The two pools makes it possible to find the right atmosphere for you when sunbathing. Located 10 meters from the ocean makes it the perfect place if you want to go swimming. All this, plus tasty food and friendly staff makes it ideal for a relaxing vacation. Definitely recommend!

Perfect place to go diving or just relax. The balance between Western style hotel and pure local, rooms have great ocean view, 2 pools, ocean access from the hotel, dive course pool sessions in one of the 2 pools, great facilities to relax, dive spots with transport, dive courses with good and experienced instructors, multiple languages, excellent restaurant with mixed menu of both local and Western dishes. Within 500 m 3 more excellent restaurants if you like to swap. Professional and friendly staff. Airco was broken and repaired within the hour. Take a traditional boat to watch the sunset, go fishing from the hotel or just relax and enjoy. Much recommended and will be back.

Right on the water. Nice coral there. Good pool set up. Rooms good. Food good. Service good. Little bit away from other things which is a good/bad thing depending on what transport you have or your intentions

Friendly staff, clean, superb location. We stayed in a vila with a beautiful view of the pool and the sea. Big living room, practical kitchen, large sleeping room. Breakfast became boring, perhaps because we stayed 8 nights. The pool is clean and well maintained. The beach next to the swimming pool is not suitable for kids and non skilled swimmers. Do not go swimming at low tide because there is a coral reef near the beach, and even small waves can make yoy troubles. However, I enjoyed snorkling in the sea in front of our villa.

Definitely will come back again if visiting Amed, this Resort has villa & bungalow room options. So be sure to ask the staff when you want to make a reservations, villa is popular, but bungalow is nice enough if you only travel for 2. Driving around 10 mins to Jemeluk Beach, walking distance to restaurants and view points, a little far from Amed Center, this would be a wise options if you avoiding crowds

We stayed at Puri Wirata for 1 week whilst exploring the diving East Bali has to offer. The staff were friendly and super helpful, they even prepared a breakfast box for us one day when we were scheduled to leave before breakfast started :) The rooms are very clean and comfortable with beautiful views over the ocean. It's a lovey quiet resort, no loud music, so you can enjoy the beautiful nature. The restaurant is top notch - we ended up having pretty much all our meals there as there was lots of variety and really great quality. Top tip: The snorkeling right in front of the hotel is fantastic! Beautiful corals, reef fish, stingrays and eels. No need to drive out to Japanese Shipwreck - I rate the quieter reef in front of Puri Wirata higher. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Little hotel near Amed and his diving spots. Rooms are clean, large enough. Bathrooms are basic but clean. Lot of water pressure. Shampoo and body gel are provided. Free water in the room

Ok. Spacious rooms, good view, nice pool(s). However: choice of breakfast is very limited, pools could be cleaner, lots of steps which are inaccessible or dangerous for small children or elderly. Towels are not changed on request. Restaurant is medium, Some dishes are good others not. They tried to charge us for things we didn’t consume. We worked it out but still. Restaurant staff was mostly not focused on their customers and food preparation took a lot of time. Better eat elsewhere, there are some goed restaurants on walking distance. Spa was ok but communication was poor. Furniture, especially in the restaurant, was very uncomfortable. WiFi is poor

We loved it here! Originally booked 8 nights, but extended it to 11. The rooms have amazing views of the Java Sea and are tastefully understated. Elegant without being in your face about it. The service was super friendly, very competent and willing to go the extra mile on special requests. And as for location.... why rent a boat to take you a superb snorkeling site that you can reach in just a few steps from the pool? We will definitely be coming back!

This was our best stay on the island. Many thanks to the dive center staff for making it a truly unforgettable experience! ❤️🙏💯 Yuki and Rudox are both expert and extremely passionate dive instructors as well as wonderful, helpful people that deserve all the love and respect in the world for spoiling dive-minded guests who happen to stumble into the Bali Reef Divers shop, like we did. Ruben and Berger are also super sweet and helpful and fully dedicated to making the most out of your holidays. You guys rock! 🎸 The location really couldn't be better. Amed is a nice and quiet town with the best dive spots on Bali. We highly recommend trying out multiple sites in the area because the variety and quality of the locations available is absolutely stunning and everything is so easy to access with a quick ride in the BRD pick-up. Even the beach straight in front of the resort is excellent for snorkeling. Or go for a dive from the nearby bay and come back out on the resort's beach! Thanks a bunch to the shops staff for driving us around and prepping our gear every day to get us up and running in no time. If you have any doubt about getting a PADI license or trying out a first dive: you are in great hands. There is no need for doubt as they will only charge you for the dives you took. There is even a first timer dive-experience course which contains a pool training and a open water beach dive in 1 day! My wife took this course and was super excited. From there they upgraded her to the PADI open water course at no extra cost. The more you dive, the bigger the discount. What's more: we were blown away by the quality of the training. In only 3 days she was PADI certified! The resort staff was very helpful and friendly and everything really came together to make sure that we had everything we needed. Quality food, spacious room (constantly cleaned) with a fridge and airco. Easy bookings and transfers... Absolutely everything was seamless. So props to them for having a super nice and relaxing time in between dives. If you are looking for a dive resort in East Bali you really can't go wrong with a stay at Wirata. It's even pet friendly which we loved. 🐕 To us the resort was excellent value for money and diving with Bali Reef Divers was priceless.

The facilities, staff and cleanliness were impeccable. The food at the restaurant was really fresh and of high quality. The ease of organising dive tours from next door was very handy. Our dive guide was amazing and the diving exceeded my expectations. I loved the location as it was out of town and very quiet. You can also snorkel right off the resort, with some nice coral bombies about 10 metres off shore. The wifi was of high quality, and the rooms have Netflix capability. It was easy to arrange a driver to go into town or get back to the airport. The resort is quiet and has everything you need to be self-contained. It was such a pleasant change from the hussle and bussle of Kuta, Seminyak etc.

Good villa with kitchen. They even gave us a blender when we asked. Place in a good condition. The food is ok but we waited 40 minutes for our dishes in the restaurant. The manager is not balinese but the most of staff are. So sometimes they not change linens and towels (it was said that they change bed every second day but we stayed here 6 days and they never changed our bed - only towels - once in two days). Snorkeling equipment is 80k per day but they can give you old broken fins - so you have to check it everytime! Overall it was a good stay!

We loved our stay. Great ocean view from our room. Nice pools. Clean spa with massages listening to the surf. Good breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We loved the Vietnamese spring rolls and curry dishes. Friendly, hard-working staff.

What more can I say, a beautiful resort with awesome staff and amazing view. Just wished there were more options for breakfast especially if we were to stay there longer. We did the diving package and it was super worth it!

We had a wonderful stay! Excellent service, lovely rooms, great facilities with two huge pools overlooking the ocean. Great snorkeling right in front of the resort. Breakfast was good, meals were also good.

An excellent place to stay with great staff and Scuba Diving business attached. Stayed there in November 2019 and am heading there again later this year.

They have a terribly good location and ambience. Nearby sea. Have private beach, but no waves😆. They have poor wifi connectivity in terms of giving the credentials and all. Food is good

Clean, beautiful, I like it! Big rooms, good stuff, good breakfast. Very good food in the restaurant! Highly recommended nicoise salad, prawn and fish brochettes, fish and chips, gaspacho. Book this hotel and prepare to enjoy!

We came here with a group of 14 for our first diving experience. They managed to teach us all the basics in the discovery package with a first try in the deep swimming pool. When we all got the basics we had a beautifull dive in the ocean between the corals and the many sorts of fish. This experience mades me decide to get a diving license and to do this a lot more in the future. Afterwards we ate in the restaurant with a lot of choice on the menu. As Belgians we enjoyed the typical Belgian stoofvlees and garnaalkroket a lot after our long trip in Indonesia. And also the cocktails are simply from another kind 😉 If you are in the neighborhood and you want to dive, have a nice meal or stay, you should definitely come here!

My friend and I dove here for 3 days and it was a great experience! Birger, the owner, & Darta, my instructor, are both fantastic dudes! I would highly recommend checking out this dive school and resort if you are in the Amed area. We will be back :-)

Puri Wirita dive resort and spa is located in a calming part of Amed right on the coastline, with the sounds of waves crashing as you lie by one of its two pools , watch the sunset or eat at the restaurant. The food is inexpensive and really delicious!! Plus, the menu is a standout in the whole area with its diversity of cuisine, choice and excellence, as well as cocktails! The grounds and accommodation is beautifully presented , rooms with private balcony with views to the sea ,as well as the villas. They also are equipped with a smart TV that supports Netflix, Amazon prime and YouTube - the wifi is also fast and didn’t have trouble with connection. The place is also environmentally friendly with unlimited free purified water offer to all guests. The staff are authentic and genuinely engaging. We enjoyed visits to the spa as well as snorkel hire (from their attached store) so we could snorkel on the beach in front of the hotel. Plus, a short walk away is Lipia beach which offers beautiful snorkeling with another lovely coral garden. This dive school is PADI certified and is an excellent place to learn how to dive in various languages. Overall, we thought we had arrived in heaven and we can’t wait to return to watch the sunset.

👍👍 Review of the warung, not the accomodation. We ate at Warung Eneak twice while staying in Amed. We had excellent tuna steaks, nasi campur and - my absolute recommendation - the rendang sandwich.
