In need of some maintenance, but still a lovely place to stay on the beach in Amed. Liked: Staff were excellent, very friendly, very helpful! Location right on the beach in a spot with snorkeling just offshore. Blackout curtains ensured my room was dark enough I had two great nights of sleep. Disliked: I had great sleep here but I think that was maybe in spite of the bed, it was quite small which wasn’t a problem for my wife and I, and it was reasonably comfortable, but could have been better, maybe a bit old. The room seems in need of a facelift in general, but especially the bathroom. The bathroom was kind of gross, I’ve seen way worse in SEA but yea, not nice, and you’ll spend as much time playing with the shower to find the needle thin spot for the handle to be in that isn’t cold or scalding hot, as you will actually showering.

We have visited the restaurant at Sunshine Bungalows, Amed three times now. The food is delicious, well priced and in a lovely environment overlooking the sea and the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. The girls working in the restaurant offer excellent service and speak good English. They are also very friendly and full of smiles (Sueliss - spelling no doubt is wrong, is delightful). Can highly recommend the banana fritters served with freshly grated coconut and palm sugar syrup, is to die for. Would also be a lovely spot to stay and everything looks well maintained plus they have a beauty salon upstairs as well that appears to be well priced.

Beautiful, peaceful, beachfront flowering garden, pool, helpful staff! Swim and snorkel right in front. Very generous breakfast set selections included in our reservation: real fruit drink, coffee/tea, main dish (I love the fried rice with egg), fresh fruit plate. No window screens (so too dependent on air conditioning, but our room is clean and fresh, not at all musty or moldy). Lovely porch sitting area with garden and ocean view. Amazing place, want to come back!

The Best of the best in Bali! me and my partner is absolutely blown away by the beautiful this place is. Not just about the beauty of the place but also all the staff was absolutely best! The room was spacious and comfy also the food absolutely spot on everytime. The staff was very polite and warm, makes us feel like a family. From up the reception till back at the kitchen they treat us very special with typical lovely Balinese smile. There's also some pictures of the Sunshine bungalows bellow that we took, we were stayed at Junior Suite that time. We definitely can't wait to be back and we would like to thank you for all the hospitality that you gave to us. Glenn & Kirsty

Every single staff and things in the hotel are lovely. Highly recommend. Unfortunately we stayed just 1 night. We'll be back to spend more time there. We were extremely welcome, getting drink and massage when we arrived. Thanks for the experience Sunshine BungalowπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ "Always in our heart"

The best place I stayed in Asia!! The staff is so nice, it feels like a family. The Bungalows are beautiful and clean. It is a very quit place just at the beach and nearby the beautiful sunset viewpoint. The spa is also really great!

Fabulous place to stay and eat. The best staff in Bali. We got a foot massage when we arrived and also had afternoon tea served every day. They also had a free guided hike on Saturday which was great to work off all the lovely food we ate there. The snorkeling off the beach was also good. We will definitely be back. 😍☺

Hotel staff is really friendly. Helped us get a scooter and set out a nice route along the coastline for snorkeling (We found turtles!). The beds are a bit harder than we’re used to. And some things could be added to the room (e.g. filled up minibar, a bin for garbage, mosquito net, shower curtain). But it is a budget hotel, so we didn’t bother really. The place is worth the money. The location is perfect (next to the beach, nearby good restaurants and near snorkeling areas).

Rooms: The beds are a bit on the hard side. It's clean, but worn, and there is water dripping from the bathroom roof. Service: It's excellent, the staff is friendly, serviceminded, they make a point of learning all our names. They gave some great tips on things that where good to know. The hotel grounds: It is ON the beach, a sand/rock mixed one but no matter to us. It's very cosy so be able to have breakfast and dinner while sitting next to the waves.

We have spent a great moment there, with a wonderful service by nice people. One of the best welcome ritual of Bali (seasonal fruit juice and a foot massage). The hotel itself is well maintained although bathrooms need to be modernized. *Service* - Great service from nice people there, they are many local and family members working hard to maintain the hotel and provide great service. They call you by your name and they always here to help. *Hotel* - The hotel is organized in a Balinese traditional way, with garden, temples and swimming pool in the middle and rooms around. Different types of rooms some with 2 beds that can be put together to make a king size bed, as one bed is relatively small for 2 people. It is very clean. However the bathrooms need comple redesign and renovation although they are clean too. Swimming pool is small but enough to enjoy, and they is one for kids too. They is a surf board you can use. The SPA is a bit expensive but they have regular promotions, I tested the foot massage which was great, the therapist is very skilled and knew reflexology points very well (you can ask to be softer if you are not used to). The hotel can arrange for a scooter/bike rental for RP 60k which is a fare price. *Restaurant* - The restaurant is great, not expensive relatively to other places and food is of good quality too; they have catch of the day fish and if not fresh of the day they would tell you of you prefer something else (chicken is the something else). They also provide a mosquito repellent. The breakfast is the most complete we had in Bali: you get both fresh fruit and the homemade seasonal fruit juices, among hot plates of your choice. *Surrounding* - The beach is beautiful, no fisherman boats in front of this hotel! That is nice as you can walk and enjoy the view compared to other hotels in the area. Beach is black sand and stones; the snorkeling point is very well indicated, right in front of the hotel (white buoy). They are also great massage places and other restaurants nearby by walk or scooter.

Easily the most beautiful place I've stayed In Bali. Welcomed with a drink , cold towel and a footwash. Room is massive, beachfront with a little balcony(room 6). Beautiful gardens and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Complimentary afternoon tea was very nice. Small restaurant so I don't think I will be going anywhere. Snorkelling, fishing, boat hire all available out the front. I would have added photos but this stupid app sends me to maps when I tried.

We had a fantastic time staying here. It’s right on the beach front with amazing snorkling from the beach. The staff were lovely especially Solice. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. it felt like a home away from home.

Stayed for more than a week. The facilities were excellent. Had a beautiful room & balcony overlooking the sea, the pool is top notch, the restaurant is cheap & tasty. The staff was exceptional & accommodating. Had a great full body massage in the spa. Can highly recommend Sunshine Bungalows for a relaxing reasonably priced stay!

We stopped by Sunshine Bungalow while on a day trip to Amed and absolutely loved it. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff were extremely kind. The space backs onto private beach and it is so glorious!! We ended up spending the entire day there. Thank you Sunshine Bungalow, if we come back to Amed we will stay with you :)

We stayed here for 6 nights in early July. The bungalows are right on the beach. Our room upstairs was very clean and spacious. We were made to feel very welcome by the attentive staff. The breakfast and food in general was delicious and good portion size. It is an extremely relaxing venue with a lovely pool to jump into to cool off. There are many warungs within 500m of the bungalows. The highlight was being able to snorkel right off the beach. Once the waves settle down and visibility improves just snorkel to the left of the bungalows. The coral is quite stunning. You need to snorkel for at least 300m parallel to the beach but only 30m from the beach. We certainly recommend these bungalows.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Review of the warung, not the accomodation. We ate at Warung Eneak twice while staying in Amed. We had excellent tuna steaks, nasi campur and - my absolute recommendation - the rendang sandwich.
