You can’t go wrong for this price. The host is super sweet and he was very helpful when we had questions & needed to hire a scooter and a taxi to get to Padang Bai. My wife and I stayed in a private room. Huge room with king bed, desk & chair, and large bathroom. No AC, so the nights were sweaty. (There is a fan) Breakfast in the morning was delish - I love those banana pancakes with honey! I left my bag on the floor for our whole stay (2 nights) and found it to be infested with ants when we checked out (there has never been food in that bag). My wife’s bag was untouched by ants.

It really could have been a 5 stars, because only one thing is missing here, a commun area where people form the hostel could chill out during the day or after diving for instance. There’s barely no place to seat. The rest was really really good, nice bed, nice setup of the dorm. I really like the way they built the stairs for the above bed, not disturbing at all for the bottom bed! I like the privacy as well. The curtain is not letting any lights in! Air condition is working perfectly and the biggest lockers I had since I’m travelling. I recommended it, really, even if a common area would be best

My partner and I wanted to have a chill stay that was close to the beach and quiet. We found the rooms large with exceptional mattresses and great Hot water. A desk, night stands and mirror were useful in our stay. The hosts were amazing! Made and Ninga were some of the most caring and giving people we have met in all of our global travel's. The Best snorkeling in Amed is actually 70 meters across the street from the property. The banana pancakes were yummy 😋 too. Balinese coffee or tea was delicious too. Finally, if you need to rent a scooter or snorkeling gear it is available. If you are searching for a genuine Bali experience, stop looking and book here. For a budget hotel/hostal this is one the best stays ever! Thank you Ninga and Made!

Great value and location. Strong AC. Water is as warm and clean as it gets in Amed. Would not return though. The mattress on the bed reeked of the sweaty/musty mildew. The lights were too dark, some of the light bulbs didn't turn on.

Perfect location, 1 minute walk then you can jump into the ocean. The owner is very nice.. The only problem for us is the HUGE carpenter ants at night.. A LOT in the bathroom even on toilet seat… sometimes there are few in the bed..it’s quite terrifying for me. You probably need a insect spray for the night.

Pondok Aldi is very quiet. I stayed 3 days in the dormitory. The beds are large, curtains make you feel you're alone in the room. The staff is smiling and nice. It's a cool place to stay if you want to chill. Kind of easy to speak with the other people staying there.

This place is perfect for the price! My room was spacious and clean, I had warm water, the staff was super nice and the breakfast was delicious!! The only thing is that the water jug was often empty, so i suggest verifying before the stores closes if you don’t want to get thirsty during the night

This hostel is perfect for your stay in Amed! Located directly across from the best beach and snorkelling spot in the area. The family are so nice and helpful and serve delicious banana pancakes for breakfast. The rooms have a privacy curtain on the bed so it’s really nice and cosy. Beds are comfortable, AC works well, bathrooms are clean and water is hot. Definitely recommend staying!

The cutest place! I stayed in the hostel and it was actually the most private and spacious hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are so kind and serve the perfect little places! Right by where the boat comes in it was nice I could just walk right up to it. Amed is so stunning I am not sure why more people don’t recommend it! A must stay.

2 Minute walk to snorkeling beach and beautiful beach restaurant the Blue Dolphin. 5 minute walk up the hill to sunset point with a few places to relax and watch the sun sink beyond Mount Anjung volcano.. My room was huge! Clean simple fairly cheap place with very friendly helpful staff.

Wonderful Homestay! The location is perfect for the beach. Clean and comfortable rooms and a beautiful private terrace with each bungalow to enjoy breakfast and hang out at night. Also the Scooter rental is at a good Price.

I stayed in the dorm room. I hadn't slept in a dorm for a few years, but regardless, this is the best dorm room I've been in. Sturdy beds, very large locker per bed (pretty much any suitcase would fit), curtains all around your bed, power outlet, and clothes rack in your bed area. Excellent service as it's usual around here :)

Loved this homestay! Spacious rooms like in the pictures and very tidy, they cleaned every day. Just 2 minutes walk to the public beach where you can snorkel. We paid 150k for a two person room (off season) without aircondition (which they have in more expensive rooms), but it was fairly okay with a fan. The breakfast included tea/coffee, fruits, a pancake with super yummy sirup. The family took good care of us and helped where they could. Just take care of the mosquitos and maybe they could change their detergent that didn't smell very good in the towels.

We’ve been in corona times for a couple of nights. The spot is great, you have the beach just in front. Is next to the road so is easy to hear the traffic. They also rent material for snorkelling. Quite clean rooms and sometimes hot inside, but you have the fans.

👍👍 This is a great place to stay if your tastes run towards the idiosyncratic and creative. Although the name sounds institutional, the Amed Lodge by Sudamala Resorts is exactly the opposite. The whole place feels hand-made and quirky. Every room is quite different. Some are multi-storey with steep sta...

👍👍 I lived in Putu Hotel for more than 3 months. The windows offer a beautiful view of the mountains. It is a bit cooler here than in the rest of Amed as the hotel is on the road up to the mountains. And there are no mosquitoes - I slept all the time with an open window and without a mosquito net) Ther...
