The
hotel
is
nice
but
not
quite
up
to
the
standard
of
other
5
star
hotels
In
Bali.
It
is
very
isolated
up
a
3km
track
but
there
is
a
shuttle
that
takes
you
up
from
the
beach
and
runs
every
hour
on
request
which
makes
you
feel
less
cut
off.
It
has
amazing
views
down
to
the
sea
and
the
pool
area
is
lovely.
The
room
was
large
and
spacious.
The
veranda
area
was
really
nice
with
multiple
seating
areas
and
panoramic
views.
The
architecture
of
the
hotel
in
general
is
very
nice
and
well
detailed.
We
found
the
service
friendly
and
the
staff
pleasant
but
a
bit
slow.
We
had
to
put
our
own
cushions
on
sun
loungers
and
I
had
to
search
for
staff
to
get
drink
or
food
menus
or
make
an
order
if
I
wanted
anything.
The
drinks
and
food
were
quite
disappointing
but
the
burger
was
not
bad.
I'd
skip
the
cocktails
and
stick
to
beer
in
the
future.
As
the
hotel
only
has
one
pool,
it
changes
the
peaceful
vibe
a
bit
when
there
are
children
around.
Other
similar
hotels
have
a
no
children
policy
and
feel
more
relaxed.
My
biggest
issue
was
noise.
Our
room
was
loud
with
hotel
guests
talking
until
midnight
in
the
restaurant,
roosters
from
6am
and
then
room-shaking
bass
from
the
neighbours
music
at
8am
although
this
ended
after
30
minutes.
Unfortunate
as
the
whole
selling
point
of
the
lodge
is
that
it
is
secluded
and
peaceful.
On
checkout
it
took
over
an
hour
for
them
to
get
an
Internet
connection
to
process
the
payment
and
for
the
shuttle
to
arrive
to
take
us
back
down
to
Amed.
Overall,
we
enjoyed
our
stay
but
if
I
was
to
come
back
to
Amed,
I
would
probably
stay
somewhere
cheaper
and
closer
to
the
beach.
