Location: Amed is a sleepy beach town but the best place to truly learn about and experience the real Balinese culture. De Ademo is perfectly located for access to the best fishing and snorkeling in Bali, great food, laundry, live music, and more. It's about a 2.5 hour drive from the airport but - they will arrange an airport pickup for you if you need!!!! Staff: The owner (Made), his staff, his family, his driver, his local guides (including the top fisherman in the area) - will ensure you will have an amazing time. The staff is professional and are proud to share. Experience: This is THE place to go to experience the real Bali! De Adema is owned by a Balinese man who takes pride in customer service (spent 6 years on a Cruise Ship) and will go out of the way to make your stay the best leg of your trip. If you really are interested in the culture, this is you place. Made organized fishing (and personally cooked the lunch and dinner we caught), a sunrise hike up to the local village (PLEASE do this!!!), a trip to the Mother Temple (another must do), and snorkeling. BTW - For less than $150 for a one WEEK stay, we had amazing lodging and service; an incredible breakfast every morning; and a surprise sweet every afternoon.

Really recommendable! Very amazing view and very nice staff! Basic breakfast and delicious banana pancakes. One star minus because the main entrance and way to the hotel was super dirty and full of plastic and other waste. This should be taken care of and might be a community thing!

We had an amazing stay with Made, Wayan and Arne. We loved our room on the first floor, the best room where you can see the Mt Agung from your balcony. De'Adema Guesthouse is right on the beach where you can swim and enjoy the best sunsets. We also went snorkelling not far from our place and we saw a turtle. The family can always help you with arranging anything you need or just give you an advise on what to do and where to go. We loved peace and tranquility of Amed so much that we prolonged our stay and we moved to the room downstairs. It was equally amazing, with the difference that instead of looking at Mt Agung, you lie down on a little bed on your terrace and you can look straight at the sea. Thank you for having us and see you again in the future

Everything was perfect (the room, the view, the localisation). But we both got food poisoning after drinking the fruit juice served at breakfast... :( (probably the ice cubes)

Stayed here about three weeks in total this April. Clean and comfortable with light airy and spacious rooms right on the beach. Simple accommodation with everything I needed including nice sheets and big fluffy towels. A big and delicious breakfast + daily afternoon tea is included which was an extra nice touch and made it especially good value. Staff were lovely and helpful at all times. It's about 100m down the beach from really good snorkelling (turtles included). They also have paddle boards for hire which is well worth it and highly recommended- beautiful and so relaxing particularly at sunrise and sunset. Thanks Made - can't wait to come back.

What can I say, Made and Wayan have created something very very special for Amed. Our room is about 20m to shoreline, so beautiful view over the ocean. Excellent view of Mt Agung volcano as well. As for accommodation, our room is new, beautiful decor, (well-thought out lighting and power-points) spotlessly clean, and just heaven to sit on the porch to have an absolute fantastic breakfast cooked by Wayan in the morning. Huge breakfast of juice, mixed fruit plate, banana pancakes, mixed vegetable omelette and coffee/tea, all made with a love of what Made and Wayan are presenting here. There is nothing that could be faulted, good on you! Google Maps took us to the other Homestay but anyone on the beach will walk you along to Alur Beach Homestay.

Amazing accommodation, perfect sunrise and sunset view, directly at the beach where you can see turtles and a lot of colorful fish while snorkelling! The breakfast and afternoon tea was also really great! I definately recommend to stay there.

Great place to stay in Amed! I'll list the reasons: (1) Wonderfully helpful and kind staff. When my motorbike got a flat, they took the bike to the mechanic for me and back. I didn't ask . They volunteered. Also, very helpful with suggestions for places to eat and visit in town. (2) Great view and location. It's central to Amed, but also, you have the ocean right in front of you from your balcony (if you stay on the 2nd floor which I did and recommend). Further, one of the two balcony units has a clear and unobstructed view of Mt Agung when it's not hiding behind clouds. (3) Great breakfast. You have four options, and each option comes automatically with fruit and fruit juice. I enjoyed the fried rice option the best although the jaffle one (as show in the photo was great too)! (4) Spacious room and bathroom WITHOUT the all too common smell/stink that so many guesthouses come with in Bali... Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Great place to stay, clean, big rooms, very nice and helping people. The owner Made, is very polite and its important for him his quests feel good and comfortable. This was our (2 adults) second stay at DeAdema. And we just love it! We stayed 6 nights in upper room, and 2 nights in the room at bottom. Both were same quality, although the upper room has little bit more privacy. The breakfast is huge, you got coffee and tea available all day and even the delicious snack afternoon. De Adema is located in very good part of Amed, and although you are at very nice acommodation, you can experience little bit of local life too - fishermen, children playing on the beach at late afternoon. Once we are back in Bali, definitely stay at De Adema again 😊❀️. Highly recommendedπŸ‘

Amazing place. we were treated like family, were invited to take part in a local celebration. We stayed in the best room on the first floor, perfect for sunrise and sunset. Breakfast was brilliant and big portions. Listen to Made and Wyan for suggestions, they know the best spots for food, turtles, etc. Warung Bobo is great for spotting turtles and listening to live music! Thanks for everything, we will be back! Aniko and Adri
